Hard to do but with proper research at least you can lower your risk of getting scammed. Always check the team behind the ICO, are they real, do they have the skills etc...Read whitepaper and reviews online from websites like icobench and similar. And never invest more then you are ready to lose.

Well, only you can answer that question but according to the market price now is an exellent time to buy some cheap ether. Remember it's almost impossible to buy at bottom so if you buy now it still might go down more but in the long term you done a good deal.

They had a good community at the start. But after one developer decided to leave something happend. I was mining it myself in the beginning and made great profit selling when price was high but unfortunatly price has declined since and haven't recovered and I don't think it ever will.

Unfortunatly that's how the ICO market looks like at the moment. Unregulated and too easy for anyone to create a nice whitepaper, website and an ANN. Pretend that you have a great product that are completly revolutionary and you can easily raise $10 mill.

I like investing in ICO's since I suck at day trading and my nerves can't handle it. But with a market like we have now make sure only invest in qulity ICO's since the chance that you can buy cheaper at exchange is kinda big at the moment.

I think at the end of 2020 only the fittest coins will survive the cryptocurrency market. By fit, I mean the most use cases such as Ethereum. There will be market leaders like Ethereum, Bitcoin and others. And along with them the coins which serve to a whole particular industry which have already accepted the coin for their use will survive and rebuild the whole crypto world.
Yes you are correct but you talking about the "fittest" coin and in reality how fit is actually Bitcoin? As it is now bitcoin is useless compared to other currencies that are much faster and with cheaper transactions. |

Team is the number one criteria I'm looking for. As long as I know they are real people I know who to find if they and up scamming me. Also check some ICO review sites like icoBench etc...

If anything I would say an 11 year old being able to start an ICO is terrible news. If he takes loads of crypto and does a runner he will not be able to be tried as an adult etc. The regulation aspect of crypto is having enough issues without kids getting involved
Yes I agree. How can it be a good idea that a 11 year old are collecting money from people? If you are 11 years old you should play with your friends and not trying to raise money. |

I invested half of my saving ($25,000) into ETH when it was $725. ETH has now plunged to $459. I am very worried I will keep losing money and I fear for the worst. I want to go kill myself  Have some patience my friend. Market is in a bad run at the moment and if you don't sell you haven't lost anything. Ethereum will go up again and beyond your initial investment you just need patience. |

a subsidiary of google.com. namely youtube.com and blogger.com have started blocking videos and articles that contain elements of ICO, tokensale, and Altcoin. then how is your prediction for the future of altcoin?
The future of crypto is bright. But for scammers and shady ICO trying to steal honest peoples money hopefully their future is counted. Google and Facebook are just trying to protect their users from obvious scams and money grabs. |

Doubt it will go back to 50 sat again but who knows. Asic miners will control Siacoins price in future and since they are mining for profit you can expect the price to go up. And I don't think Siacoin have any better competitors. |

Would love too see your calculations on how you got to that conclusion. Of course you are wrong, market will start to recover in may/june and reach all time high around september. And yes just like you I'm just guessing. |

Yes at this price marketcap is to high for really great gains. But congratulations to ICO investors since they can sell for a good profit eventhough they waited almost 6 months or something to get it listed on exchange.
Hopefully it goes down to around $1 since that's a good entry point in my oppinion.

Everyone has a place in the crypto market. For someone to sell Bitcoin at 20k there has to be someone willing to buy at that price as well. So I welcome noobs/weak hands as you call them because the truth is without them we can't sell and make profit.

I like to just hold as well since trading is so difficult and market can change so fast and if you are not ready or put sell orders you can lose a lot of money in just a day. Of course their are big gains to make as well but for me I rather hold it for some time until I'm happy with the gains.

Me personally would never invest if the team is anonymous. My resoning is, if you are collecting/raising money then investors need to know who they give their money too.

Right now WanChain is expensive and will go down below $2 and that's a good entry point. To high marketcap at the moment to make it interesting for me.

I spend a lot of time in a week reading about crypto, for example here at bitcointalk. I'm also a hobby miner so keeping up with latest news and any new promising coins to mine takes time but I'm just doing it as a hobby, a profitable hobby:)

Now that we have that big correction and most of the fud is behind us and some good news from G20 and lightning network for bitcoin, we can expect a big growth from now on and bigger market cap then we had last year. That's my prediction anyway.
