41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Footy Cash (FOOT) | Masternode Beta Testing NOW!! |Decentralized Fantasy Sports on: August 02, 2017, 11:31:45 PM
I have a question about staking...

The times says payout in 12 hours.....then 10 hours later it says in 13 hours..then 9 hours....

but a payout never comes...

is this normal behavior ?

Thx

The current wallet has an 8 hour staking.  Are you referring to the current Footy Cash wallet or the beta testing?

Current one and I left it running for about 2-3 days...got 1 small mined amount....

It gives me stats like you have xxx on xxxxx and that much time left....

have question..

I have a 2*  r9 290x GPU rig on a old Windows AM2 4GB of RAM rig mining eth

I have a weird behavior which starter few days ago....

1st GPU mines at full speed but the second takes longer to load DAG and mines only at 3 MH/s

and if I mine with only 1 GPU it goes full speed for some time and then it goes down to 8MH/s....

anyone seen a similar behavior and what can cause that ?

Thx in advance

if you didn't recover your wallet yet.....stop playing with your original drive...!!!

SSD have TRIM and Garbage  Collection and other ''automated erasing'' functions....

You need to make a bit per bit image/copy of it and work on that....never ever play with you original drive

which OS and file system was on your SSD ?

46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: NOOB need help. OLD ass wallet HOW TO ? on: July 23, 2017, 12:30:42 AM
glad it worked out nicely for you...

It must be a trill to wake up and:

ah uhh I think I have a six years old wallet full of BTC...let see if I can make that work....Wink

specially with increase of BTC price..

what a foresight to have them kept like that
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Level by August 1 on: July 16, 2017, 11:56:07 AM
so,now that we are below 2000$ and the price is going down everyday
where are all tothemooners? Smiley
it is going to drop even more, but come 1st of August we never know what happens
my hope it will recover and ,eventually prove all of the experts right-
the ones that had been predicting 10.000+ figures

I'm still very bullish...it's a normal correction fueled a bit by uncertainty and fear...but once BTC passes the 1st august and there is no "end of the world" it will resume it's path and will reach new highs

soon we will know the outcome Wink

Of course, no "end of the world". But what if too much of common investors will be gone for a long time..

I don't think so....

1st they must be confused now and want to protect their investment...once it's done they will be back
2nd after "no end of the world" happeneds it would give even more credibility to bitcoin and the investors will be back in bigger numbers
3rd after the 1st, people will want to re-buy their BTC which will create demand and
4rth after the 1st, no one will be selling on the short term; expecting new highs

this should create a huge upside momentum and movement..

will see....I'm holding and getting more....

oh and I forgot.....all this fork "publicity" is still a publicity for BTC and opens it to new people who had never heard of it before....
good or bad doesn't matter as long as they talk about it and in the long term they will learn the good about it...specially if the outcome is positive and BTC came out unaffected..this will prove the naysayers wrong....

48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 16, 2017, 11:38:26 AM

That mining service will start sending SegWit BTC after the 1st of August on my "1example123" address.
Lets say they send me, in August, 0.1 SegWit BTC.
Until I make a decision, I can :
*End up with 0.5 BTC on my "1example123" Bitcoin Core Wallet + 0.1 BTC on my "1example123" Bitcoin SegWit Wallet
or
*End up with 0.6 BTC on my "1example123" Bitcoin SegWit Wallet

the address is able to work on both chains.....0.5 on one and 0.5 on another....

but you must control the wallet (have access to private keys) which might not be the case if you using some web wallet or exchange

for sure if you make a transaction after the fork/split if there is one...the transaction will go on the "mainstream" chain whichever it is...

and you if you decided to abandon the other chain....that's it...you're on the majority chain...

however if you don't have the control of your wallet and the service you're using decides to use the non-majority chain.....and abandon or keep for themselves the other coins (majority chain)...then that's your outcome as you don't have the control of your wallet.

anyone pls correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the price will stay around 2K, a big psychological level...

But there might be a "flash crash" lower maybe even to 1500-1600 but it will recover as fast as it went down
53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 13, 2017, 08:20:40 PM
I have an another question....In a case of multiple receiving addresses is this process must be done to all of them ? or the wallet will automatically preserve all coins associated together (multiple receiving addresses in 1 wallet) ? Or it's better to create a brand new wallet now and send all coins to the new - 1 address one ?
If you do not care about your privacy, you can and should send all of the coins in your wallet. It does not matter where you send them, but I recommend that you just send the coins to another address in your wallet. Such transactions are allowed. There is no need to make an entirely new wallet for this.

Thank You very much for answers, it's very appreciated.

and thx for this thread
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 13, 2017, 01:59:05 PM

Now we are waiting for some guide that will teach us how to save both currencues after the split.  Roll Eyes Sure that's what every Bitcoin holder should do. Just in case.
There is actually an amazingly simple way to "taint" your coins that I have only recently heard about. This method requires using transaction locktimes and may require a bit of advanced skill (most taint methods require that anyways).

To taint your coins, you need to make one transaction that is valid on one chain and invalid on the other. Since a chain split will likely result in one chain with a majority of the hash rate and one chain with a minority of the hash rate. The chain with the minority hash rate will produce blocks at a slower rate so it will be at a lower block height. Thus you can make a transaction which has a locktime of the most recent block on the chain with the majority hash rate. This means that the transaction will be valid and can be mined on the majority hash rate chain, but is invalid on the minority hash rate chain until it's most recent block height matches the locktime that you set. Once your locktimed transaction confirms on the majority hash rate chain, you immediately make a transaction which spends the same inputs but does not have the locktime and get that confirmed on the other chain. This second transaction will be invalid on the majority hash rate chain because it conflicts with one that has already confirmed, and if the transaction confirms on the minority hash rate chain, then your coins will be successfully split. You can then spend from those transactions on their respective chains without any risk of transaction replay as any transactions that spend from those will be invalid on the other chain.

Thx for explanation and if I understood correctly this has to be done:

1- After the split post 1 transaction. This should get validated on the ''major or main chain'' creating a locktime. Is sending coins to yourself would achieve that ?

2- After the 1st transaction is confirmed (how many confirmations are needed ?) the coins in the "main chain" are safe

3- After the point 2 is done; post 1 transaction on the ''alternative chain'' which will create another locktime and save your ''other coins". I assume this has to be done with a wallet working on the ''alternative chain" using the same address and same keys ?

4- Repeat for all chains...

He is still trying to get my money...

Even If I value my account by principle I won't pay a dime to a scammer or thief for what's mine....

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

the account is dead as it is....it's worthless for you now...

just give it back...and don't make me wait after the admins

the feedback you've posted just helped me.....proved my point and that my account was hacked by you or your alleged seller

Yeah , dead for me Smiley
but i wont give it bck to you, I have my investment in it , i consider it as a value to my money, you still have time to pay 0.03 btc , i wont give the details unless you pay.

You yourself fucked up, you could had given me the money and i could had given you details, but you took the long and wrong path...still i am willing to give details but only after pay Smiley

I can confirm as well that ziploc+ was the same user that I dealt with and left feedback for on the Ziploc account (he had purchased an Antminer S1 from me back in 2014). ziploc+ was able to sign a message from an address used during our transaction.

Well account sales happen and staff would have a hard time knowing if you meant to do that or.. It was stolen from you.

Puts them in a tough position.

I understand...

but why would I sell my account ? for few bucks....and then claim it back..in public ?

I would at least make sure that I can id myself very easily...like embed my btc address in some posts....

which I actually never did because I value my privacy...

and would I "disturb" and ask for help many reputable BTCtalk members for that....common....

anw I appreciate your input as I never thought about it this way...
58  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Account Thief on: July 02, 2017, 03:43:10 AM
From what i can tell, ziploc+ is the same guy i dealt with a long time ago, i met with someone close to him in person for a hardware transaction.

However it seem more a "did-he-sell" or is it just "ransom" issue than a identity issue;
For what its worth, i really doubt ziploc would sell his account for a measly 0.03BTC, the seller/hack/whatever seem to be quoting a legit price for a Senior Member account, which make the quoted amount feel non-credible to me, since ziploc is very attached to his nickname.

Not sure what more i can do for you ziploc, so good luck with this misadventure.

Thank You for posting that,

and I might have a way to prove who I'm with one previous transaction that I made with Guitarplinker

Lauda informed me about this. I've removed my positive trust on the account.

If the real Ziploc ever gets their account back, I can add my positive rating back to the account, but for the time being it has been deleted.

NP,

I guess it's better like this for now

60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Account Thief on: July 01, 2017, 03:57:06 PM
Now someone named Lauda....posted a feedback on my original account claiming that I sold my account and want to charge back myself...

:EDIT:

It's the scammer and admitted that the account doesn't belong to him, either way purchased for whatever reason or hacked himself.

Lauda just posted a warning which is ok, my apologies to the man

:EDIT:

I didn't read properly and I apologize to Lauda, he's just helping.
