My review is that I would not trust this person, I was just scammed of .026 BTC.
Hello.
Can you please elaborate on this?

He probably was offered the coin you didn't buy by the "hacker"
42  Economy / Collectibles / Re: To Escrow or Not to Escrow? on: November 05, 2021, 03:24:19 PM
I would note that in 2 cases I have seen so far, the parties that were "hacked" or "compromised" received DM's with a supposed link to a thread in the forums - when clicking it, they are prompted to log back into the forums however, the link is not to the forums but to another site which then captures their account info.

may need to make it aware to everyone - simply do not click links that are in dms - someone says they replied to your thread and gives a link - go to the thread the ol' fashioned way and dont use their link - or at least inspect the link to see where it really goes before blindly clicking it.

I can't imagine people are this foolish to fall for fake links in 2021, especially being into Bitcoin and knowing how important security is. If Google isn't offering to enter my password for me then I know it's a website I've never been to before. Were they actually "hacked" or did they change their password via a VPN in an attempt to use their Trust to scam someone on a larger purchase and then use the "I was hacked excuse"? I guess if they "recovered" their account and accepted escrow then I don't see anything malicious. Moral of the story I guess, always use escrow no matter what.

44  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Anyone have some silver 1oz 5oz 10oz on: November 01, 2021, 08:58:28 PM
Looking for silver in 1 ,5 , 10 oz  sizes.

Can pay in

Btc
ltc
doge
paypal

any name pieces work

silvertown
sunshine
ampex
engelhard

I normally self escrow but any well known seller I will pay first if they want it that way.

I could use about 20 Oz

I am NJ based and want to pay very close to spot.

Which is about 25 an oz.

So maybe 260 for 10 oz.

Check eBay, you may snatch a good deal, but gonna have to pay sales tax under $1,000. I grabbed some silver at $27 an ounce the other day.

46  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Loadable Solid Gold Physical Bitcoin on: October 27, 2021, 02:35:55 PM
I'm still looking for a solid gold physical Bitcoin within my budget. Denariums have brought up my attention. Looking for a 1/2 oz gold Denarium Bitcoin. If someone is willing to sell me one, feel free to contact me via PM. I will accept the best offer. Thanks.  Smiley

Although not solid gold nor a coin...the 24k Ballets are nice as well and within your budget.
47  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ebay virtual currency policy, can anyone explain? on: October 25, 2021, 08:01:43 PM
I would never sell funded items on eBay (or any digital items for that matter). eBay usually favors the buyer. They can claim item not as described and it's usually an instant refund. Good luck trying to get eBay support to follow a Bitcoin transaction to prove the buyer moved the funds from the funded item.
48  Economy / Collectibles / Re: (NFT'S) Anyone want to comment on them? on: October 18, 2021, 08:17:05 PM
Bought my first NFT, a Lazy Lion. Went up 10x within a couple weeks. Thought "hey this is easy".... have lost money on every single NFT since.   Wink

50  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BALLET Physical Cryptocurrency Wallets on: September 30, 2021, 04:57:36 PM
Just wanted to give an update to my recent frustrations. After working with Ballet support they said the website displayed the "D" wallet when I originally purchased the product (September 11th) and that their SKU data on Shopify was updated on September 14th to the new Shiba Inu wallet design. I ordered a Doge wallet on Amazon about 2 weeks earlier and received a wallet with the Shiba Inu. So maybe I was thinking the wallet's on their site would be the same kind when I was ordering and didn't notice they were the "D" version and was confused after I received my order (September 18th) and it was the "D" wallet and their website displayed the Shiba Inu wallet. They did offer me compensation of 1 free Shiba Inu wallet free of charge and I countered that with a $87 credit towards a future purchase (my order total), offering to mail back the 6 "D" wallets at my expense in exchange for the Shiba Inu wallets, or an RMA for all 6 wallets with a complete refund but they didn't go for any of that and offered 2 free Shiba Inu wallets instead, which I felt obligated to accept.

So while it may have been my fault not noticing the "D" wallet design when ordering my wallet (my defense is that I just ordered one from Amazon 2 weeks prior that contained the Shiba Inu), Ballet should not have updated their SKU data (which means all the images changed over to the new design, even on order confirmation pages) while existing orders were still being filled and/or shipped. Or better yet, offer the Shiba Inu wallet as a completely new SKU. Either way, I think they did their best to make the situation right and hopefully learned that changing SKU data instead of creating a new SKU is a bad idea.

53  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Eclipse Bitcoin Poster First Edition - Limited Print - (SOLD OUT) on: September 23, 2021, 11:55:33 PM
Thanks for posting Kryme, Im sorry to see that your poster came damaged. Sadly, I have been alerted to this issue by another user who also received a damaged poster. I can infer from the images provided that the tubes used did not match shipping quality standards and as a result some of the posters are arriving damaged. As for the hand numbered lettering, in the pictures your family sent you the right side of the poster appears to be not In the picture, you can find your serial number there.

I am exploring reinforced shipping tubes for that of future editions, and have ordered a variety of samples.

If your poster arrives damaged or does not match your expectations feel free to reach out in this thread or a DM and I will make the situation right.

I look forward to bringing updated technology and shipping methods to future editions.

-Eclipse

We'll figure something out in DM. I picked it up today and can confirm it was numbered. Definitely need to ship posters in a tube going forward though. Live and learn Smiley There's fold marks from it being shipped in a rectangle box. Artwork and print quality look great !
54  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Eclipse Bitcoin Poster First Edition - Limited Print - (SOLD OUT) on: September 23, 2021, 01:13:37 AM
I shipped this poster to my parents house and this is what they sent me for photos, so I haven't examined it myself yet, but based on this... mine was not hand numbered, it was not in a tube or shipped in a tube and the edges were damaged.

that damn cybertruck giveaway I cannot participate in because I live in FL bah

They need to focus and work on shipping and quality check though - items be going out damaged or wrong.

Completely agree. I ordered 12 wallets during the BOGO and most of the cardboard was damaged. Luckily these will just be gifts so it's not a huge deal.

Edit: Adding to this after looking to load these for gifts, I realized I ordered a Doge coin wallet from Amazon and this is the one I got (about 2 or 3 weeks ago) - dog is located on the wallet.

I ordered 3 Doge coin wallets with the BOGO and so I received 6 of these total and they were this one (displays a D instead of the dog) - their website advertises the one that includes the dog and not just a "D".
Very disappointed about this, as these will be going to 8-10 year olds who will be a lot more excited to see the dog instead of the D.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: September 15, 2021, 03:59:24 PM
It is just sad that none of the people who can actually explain about these Alt-coins no longer visit the forum. For example, Solana is basically a blockchain on a novel consensus mechanism that its developers were confident can actually prove itself out in the wild. It works on what they call "Proof of History". Any consensus mechanism has to work on scale and that is demonstrated only in real world conditions like this.

The block generation has stopped because the consensus mechanism broke down at scale and multiple forks are happening. This clearly shows that the consensus mechanism is nowhere near mature enough to work at scale. This is why if you are betting on Solana then you will be caught dead in the water when the sentiment cools off.

The consensus mechanism didn't break down. The network was flooded with TXs and didn't have the proper QoS to prioritize network critical TXs.

60  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Show of hands for 1 oz. or 1.5 oz. gold dodgeball coins on: August 31, 2021, 08:47:54 PM
I'm kind of confused, is this supposed to be a Doge coin ? The "dodgeball" title kind of threw me off and I wasn't really following the other thread about this. What's the USD price going to be on these? I assume spot + how much premium? Do we have to pre-load them and if so, has that amount been decided on (and is that in Dogecoin?) I see there's a dispute between 1oz, 1.5 and 2oz. Is it possible to do 1.420 oz ? Cheesy
