did you ever end up finding one?

What exactly are you looking for? any .1 btc loaded coins? Casascius only?

Hey everyone, I have been talking with a well known custodian and a few potential lenders regarding loans for Casascius coins. I am personally interested since a loan does not trigger a taxable event and it is also a way to access liquidity without having to peel or sell coins (especially with premiums as low as they are). The lenders are interested but one of their main questions is how large the potential market is for this before they invest time and money into it. If you are potentially interested in getting a Casascius coin loan, DM me or comment here and if comfortable give a ballpark estimate of the BTC value you would be interested in getting a loan on. Obviously this is not binding in any way and I will leave it to them to legitimize the process and ensure the safety of all our coins, but this market research would be quite helpful. Thanks Walk me through this. If someone gets a loan, they are going to have to pay interest on that. How do they pay that back if they never want to access their coins? If you have a 1 btc coin, I do not believe they are going to loan you the current dollar amount, or am I wrong? I checked out a thing on Celcius and to borrow like 20k, i needed to deposit like 1.65 btc with them as collateral. I suppose this is better than selling and potentially having to buy back btc at a higher price. And the interest rates seemed quite reasonable at like 0.7-1%.

Hello all,
I am looking to put some of my collection up for auction.
I want to get some advice on how to send the items. I'm currently overseas (outside the US), so sending anywhere via courier will not let me sleep well. And from the last time I checked I don't think they would allow coins to be sent by mail nor would they insure an item worth that much.
How have you guys been doing your transactions? everything in person for high value items? or you just send them anyway?
I really do love my collection, but now that the price is going up like it is, I don't really feel comfortable to hold onto them. If something were to happen, damaged, stolen, lost or whatever, it would really be upsetting.
Any feedback would much be appreciated.

It is better to hold back than to sell the coins you have when they are worthless. Better to hold it until the price is much higher, my principle is better to hold than sell it when it's worthless. if there is an increase in price, you should immediately sell all the coins you have so you don't lose anymore.
Now many projects use the stake system to encourage the users to hold their tokens and not to sell the tokens. This is the article about different staking systems and reward for holding tokens https://medium.com/bonfiorg/introducing-bonfi-web-staking-7368467d18ccThe long you hold money the more reward you have.

Definitely compromised, they need to be on that list. Yes…Sol Noctis is one of the most beautiful coins one can get for their collection and I was amongst the many that were excited when I was able to buy some directly from the manufacturer.
And yes the amount loaded on these coins is only 0.001 BTC which by far is not much.
Yet, we as physical coin collectors place a great deal of trust on the maker of physical coins and the process on which the paper wallets are made and how they are handled. We can never be 100% sure if any coin maker has ever held onto the private keys or not and only time will tell us if this is so or not. There is always the risk that coins can be swept. The only way with 0% risk is if you make your own.
In the case of Sol Noctis, this one coin incident that we know of so far, has ruined their reputation as far as I am concerned. I really do not care if the maker made a mistake or not, my trust in them as a physical bitcoin coin maker is over as far as I am concerned. No matter what the maker says or does afterwards it is over…period.
Will I hodl onto my Sol Noctis coins? Yes and I will not sweep any btc on them or check as I will treat them the way I treat my one loaded microsoul coin, not loaded.

how is that MS66? looks perfect. I have MS67 with clear defects. Their grading is such a joke sometimes in my opinion.

hello all,
i've seen the term "laser rings" many times, but I still don't exactly understand what it is. Would someone mind pointing it out?

Hey brother, are you at liberty to say how much the Gold Titan sold for? I know it was flawed a bit, but we never see these for sale on here, wondering what the market is like.

I'm quite a big fan of these Titan Coins, but did the creator allow his 3 year old to fill out the COA's? Couldn't they have don't a little better?
lol as someone who has terrible handwriting, I appreciate this comment. Don't equate bad handwriting with bad craftsmanship though, Tim has made some beautiful & iconic coins for sure. I am watching this auction closely.. My handwriting sucks as well, but use a printer or even a typewriter. But I do suppose this terrible handwriting is what I look for now to confirm the COA is authentic, hahaha

Never got in touch with Smoothie, I think Owlcatz is right, he's probably very retired and over responding to a million emails.
I did solve my problem though, the person who had sold me the coins got in contact with me. thank you all for the help and effort, very much appreciated.
