41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone loving Feathercoin so much? on: May 02, 2013, 03:22:03 AM
I recognize that BTC is flawed.  They are well known flaws and although people are trying to find cures, there are new alt coins that solve these problems.  I'm confident there will be an alt coin that takes over I'm just no sure which one.  I really like the idea of LTC and that's why I'm mining it.  I don't agree with FTC cause it doesn't add anything new.  I figure an alt coin has to atleast add something new that improves on the product (cyber currency).
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do alt currencies have value? on: May 02, 2013, 03:06:02 AM
Because the first idea isn't always the best, IE; Yahoo, Myspace, bitcoin etc.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHNcoin will be the death of Feathercoin! on: May 01, 2013, 02:58:22 PM
I lost respect for the exchanges that included a 2 week old coin.  There is a reason even the stock market has a pink slip.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 02:34:15 PM
Another currency?

Does no one see a problem with a new alt currency every week?  That's not an exaggeration, it's been every week for a few months now.....
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC/FC exchange via Google Docs [Bid 16 LTC | Ask 15 LTC] on: April 27, 2013, 08:14:05 PM
So to be clear, Mincoin was bronze to bitcoin and now feathercoin is bronze?

IMO - Currencies should not be anything to another currency if they don't actually improve upon the code in some way.  Someone copy/paste LTC code and called it feathercoin and people are jumping on it?

Man, I was trying to get in at $55 a BTC and couldn't figure out how to buy them.  It's so frustrating that this isn't as liquid as it needs to be.  There is a lot of opportunity for coders to get this kind of stuff on the market for us traders !
47  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think we will see more Alt. currencies on BTC-E or possibly even MTGOX? on: April 23, 2013, 11:09:07 PM
Will alt. currencies gain the popularity to deserve a spot on top with Bitcoin, your opinions....

Remember when Napster first came out?
How about yahoo?
Do you remember my space?

The first people on the scene always make a lot of money but they almost never end up being the top dog.  I recommend you not only accept that crypto currency will take over, but be very aware of the new cryptos that come into the spotlight, you never know when the next Google will pop up.

Did anyone confirm this?  I own a computer repair shop and would like to accept crytocurrencies as well.

I've been mining with a 7950 for a few days now and get 629khash consistently.  Intensity is at 20

I just wish that there was a way to tell these forums that I've been lurking for months and only made an account when I thought I had something worthwhile to say.

I'll jump through the hoops until I am allowed to report a bug I found in bfgminer.

I had no idea these forums existed.  I've been pouring over reddit posts for months wondering why there wasn't more interest in crypto currenices, Had no clue you were all hiding here !
