41  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people feel so ofended by everything nowadays? on: August 07, 2017, 08:52:47 AM
This thread should definitely have come with a trigger warning.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be THE Bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 05:22:47 AM
This doesn't sound realistic at all. bitcoin cash started high, but as soon as people are getting their bitcoin cash from exchanges and being allowed to, they're selling. The price has gone way down. BTC has gone up. I don't see the comparison at all.
43  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seymour Hersh States Seth Rich Was WikiLeaks DNC Source on: August 06, 2017, 01:17:29 PM
Hersh was sadly lost all credibility as he's gotten older. Just look at the quality of the publications he writes for. He goes down a notch every major story he covers. It's a sad end to what was once a well-respected journalist.

Leave Seymour Hersh aside. Do you have any doubt that Seth Rich was not the Wikileaks DNC source? Even before Seymour Hersh, a few people had hinted at Rich's involvement. It was Seth Rich, and that was why he was murdered by the goons of Clinton.

Not sure what you mean by "Leave Seymour Hersh aside". Are there any credible sources for the claim? When a journalist reports counter to virtually all mainstream reporting, without providing one shred of evidence or on the record quote, all you're left with is the reliability of said reporter. In this case that's Hersh.

As far as any doubt-yes, there's plenty of doubt. That's what you're left with in the absence of clear and convincing (or really any at all) evidence.
44  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emergency on: August 06, 2017, 12:22:28 PM
I think Coinbase got the right approach where they gave people bcc equal to the amount of btc they had, at least that's what I read in their announcement.

From where you read that? As far as I know, Coinbase is refusing to credit the users with BCH. After a few attorneys threatened to sue them over this refusal, they announced that they "may consider" crediting the BCH coins by January 2018.

That seems to be what the latest news is:

By then BCC could be worthless. Who knows

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS ICO SCAM 👺👺👺 Wow! Can you believe this? 👺👺👺 on: August 03, 2017, 09:17:17 AM
i guess i found this thread to late....

but wanted to share my EOS, ICO experiences... which are fishy as hell imho..

Naturally if i join a ICO i would hope for a better price then i can get on the exchanges

So we got the 2 Millions Tokens which get distributed  every 23 Hours ..
20 Minutes before the Countdown ended ... there where 5400 ETH collected for this Period ...  that would be still a very good rate to get the tokens for 0.54 USD
3 Minutes before the Countdown ended ... there where 10500 ETH collected for this Period ... that would be 1.05 USD ... and the Rate i would have expected to be.
but then suddenly in the very last Minute ... a whopping 8200 ETH where added.... balancing out the Token Sale to exactly the current Market Price of 1.90 USD

uhmm seriously that felt like the most rigged ICO i ever taken part in.

It's that a ton of buyers (or small number of buyers with a lot of crypto$) are sitting there thinking the same thing that you are, and hit purchase within the last 10-20 minutes.
The effect is greatest in the last minute, since it takes a bit of time to update the numbers, so people are buying without full information.

That it's continued this long is impressive. But you have to figure that at some point the demand drops, and future buyers get them for less than the advance purchasers, which will kill their market.
47  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Release the hounds : 45.8 BTC stolen - electrum-wallet.com CRIMINAL sticky pls on: August 03, 2017, 07:49:58 AM
You have to figure it's going to take quite a while for conventional police forces to catch up to the technology at play here.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY SOLD MY BITCOIN CASH! STEP BY STEP GUIDE on: August 03, 2017, 07:44:13 AM
First i just want to say ,,!,, to whoever created this whole bitcoin cash mess.  Although i dont agree with the hard fork just to stroke some egos i have no problem with it as long as the community supports it.  But the entire execution is a clusterfuck piss poor mess, whoever are responsible for them are fucking idiots.

1) Why would you name your coin bitcoin CASH?  instead of something more unique.  Any time anyone trying to google your coin, i.e. bitcoin cash exchange, bitcoin cash wallet, bitcoin cash whatever - instead of getting to the relevant result you get spammed with bitcoin and cash conversions/comparisons.  It's almost you dont want your coin to be found and want to promote bitcoin.  Why not call it bitcoin iamnotafuckingidiot,  so when someone googles it, they actually find results about your coin.

Haha, good point. No cryptocurrency should really be called "cash."
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You SATISFIED With AUGUST 1? on: August 03, 2017, 06:19:37 AM
With Bitcoin cash earning about $500/per BTC, how could one not be satisfied?!
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS ICO SCAM 👺👺👺 Wow! Can you believe this? 👺👺👺 on: August 02, 2017, 11:38:40 AM
Well, at the current rate, their ICO will rake in more than a billion. Well if they succeed, good for them. It's true that Dan's cat could use a golden shower. Grin

I find it hard to believe that that will happen. At some point over the next 9 months or so, demand should fizzle out, and people will start getting EOS for less than the early buyins got them for. At least that's what I'd expect to happen. A billion dollar just for the coins seems insane. In the meantime, they keep going steady at 2-3 million/day
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 02, 2017, 05:33:58 AM

So that actually worked? You wound up with Bitcoin cash and flipped them already? That's amazing.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Pre ICO] #openZen. The New Milestone of the Internet on: August 01, 2017, 01:56:54 PM
I suggest adding actual bios to the Team section on your website. A name, face and title don't really cut it for a lot of potential contributors.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: scammed by a bot on: August 01, 2017, 01:05:05 PM
not sure if this is the right area but i got scammed by a bot and lost almost .30 btc!

promises of fake deposits and when I went to withdraw nothing ever happened.

Thanks for the warning. Probably a lot like that out there.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Comments on Trump's transgender decision on: August 01, 2017, 11:29:18 AM
Bottom line--these are human beings, and these decisions have real implications. Have the decency to at least call a press conference and sound sincere. Yet another tweet that should never have been made. Didn't even do the Army and the Joint chiefs the decency of warning them he'd be tweeting up a storm again.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No fork detected--> Segwit is now active UASF is active! WE did it! on: August 01, 2017, 08:26:24 AM
So we are still waiting to determine the actual ramifications of the split?
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: July 31, 2017, 12:00:52 PM
I don't think Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar or euro. One of the facts is that it's price is very volatile. But I do think that it will become mainstream one day.  Roll Eyes

It has a user base of like 250k people.. It won't be volatile when it has several billion

The challenge is how to get to that level first, and whether it will indeed happen within 15 years.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: July 31, 2017, 03:21:29 AM
Even though its currently the most valuable currency in the world, i will not say that its the strongest currency, Bitcoin can come crashing down in an instant if a country like Germany or the USA makes it illegal. Its price is determined by its investors who will all cash if such a thing happens.

Agree. It has volatility unlike any other influential currency, isn't backed by anything or anyone, isn't too big to fail, isn't backed by any centralized government--a disadvantage for a currency, and holds no intrinsic value. Hacking, altcoins, regulation, a million factors could affect BTC tomorrow, meaning its fate is not secure.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coindash SCAM - Open discussion on: July 30, 2017, 11:16:00 AM
I'm a bit confused about this one honestly. The website now seems to act as if there were no issues whatsoever, but they are compensating anyone who can prove they paid, so there was no scam in the end? (Beyond the question of whether the tokens are worth the price--that's buyer beware)
59  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to win free Bitcoins in a short time ??? on: July 30, 2017, 06:42:16 AM
Hello to you.
What are the best sites to win free Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes of time ??
I already know https://freebitco.in/ but to win Satoshi, you have to wait every hour (1 hour) of time. It is too long.
Are there other serious sites that give Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes ??

Thanks in advance for giving me these sites there.

I just don't understand on why some people believes that they can get everything without putting a little effort. The only way that I know that earns bitcoin fast is through gambling but it is very risky and you also need capital for it. The method that I use in earning bitcoin is through joining various campaign signatures but the pay is every week. It may not be fast but it is reliable compared to other methods. Also, the btc that you earn is directly proportional to your rank which is why, most of the people join these campaign signatures.

I agree, i don't understand why anyone would think it would be that easy to get BTC for free. If it were, BTC wouldn't be worth much anyways, so it's a catch-22.

Can't you just leave the retrieval key code in safety deposit box/ entrusted with lawyer via will?
