He made a very bad decision by hearing someone Fishy. This is one of the reasons why people is selling in the panic! Most of the good projects asking for the KYC nowadays, They say it is for to prevent the scammers. Here is my question, I don't think a scammer will invest in ICO, you may active two-factor authorization and others security to secure your investors account from scammers but why you need everything? Though I believe in Some projects, who ask for the KYC and they are not anonymous, they published their office and every address to visit there. Like the amazix team or the Iconiq team and others, I believe them.  But other every anonymous project's KYC should be ignored.

You are right that bitcoin is not controlling the cryptocurrency market. But bitcoin price ups and downs affect to all coins. If you feel insecure with Metamask or other wallets then buy a hardware wallet, hardware wallets are cost high! I think you are not a full-time trader, then you should avoid trading with bitcoin in this bearish situation. You may try with altcoins in short trade! Actually holding is a smart thing to do but not for the everytime. In these 9 months, From December to august, Hodlers are losing their capital, almost 70% decreased already! I don't think it is a smart thing when you can convert your Coins to USDT or You can trade to make your money bigger!

Bitcoin is more stable than Ethereum then why You think people are buying Ethereum by selling bitcoin? I don't think so. Look at the current price of ethereum, it is decreasing incredibly! Bitter truth is Ethereum can go under 200 USD!
