41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: April 15, 2020, 10:30:29 PM
I believe most of the online gambling sites would have the function to allow players to see their overall profits and losses on their account.
Not all, even sportsbet, I don't think they have that kind of feature added in the site.

But I still see some players who have lost more than 100 Bitcoins to keep on gambling almost everyday, I guess gamblers who are seriously addicted to gambling does not really look at their stats on their gambling records.
I think it's not on the a specific amount as everyone have their own range, if they go beyond their range or their limit, then we can assume they are out of control or maybe already addicted in gambling.
Of course anything will be profitable and beneficial as long as you do it in limit. We must maintain our line where we must stop gambling if we are loosing to much and in case of earning as well. Because going beyond limit means we are giving other person a chance to win from us just keep your lose in your mind but never try to recover it and if you are winning then after specific amount of money stop gambling further.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: April 15, 2020, 09:49:52 PM
Many gamblers have a dream like this, I even include myself. I know everyone wants to achieve their financial goal through gambling which is considered as easy money if you win. But I know that this is a kind of dream that will remain a dream for everyone.
I am also one of them I want to get my dreams through gambling that I want to be rich in my life and I want to buy a house as soon as possible so I believe its only gambling that can make me have everything in life but still I keep in mind that in gambling I will have to be ready for lose and profit both I can rather win or lose too so just stay calm in both situations.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 15, 2020, 09:14:07 PM
Good recommendations but gamblers like me who sometimes crossed the line will forget some of the advice and guidelines listed there, gamblers are emotional when gambling they throw every reasoning if they see the opportunity that they have a chance to win, this is one of my regrets I sometimes lose control.
Yeah those gpambkers who lose the control and spend all their income into kind of game and later on they regret it so they should not do this but instead of it we should prefer to safe our money and spend limited Amount the other thing which matter in online gambling is safe and trust worthy website if you will get safe site you will feel safe and will be able to get high profit.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 10, 2020, 09:16:24 PM
With almost all people stay at their homes, they are trying to search the gambling website, and they will try to gamble from home. I think that can make the gambling website more popular, and maybe from now on, the gambling website will have a new audience because many of them are a gambler who likes to gamble offline.
If they don't care about their family and even though they are starving or lacking out of money but choose to gamble then they will always find a way to do it.

With what happened, it not only benefits the Earth but it also give benefits to the gambling website owners too as the traffic is increasing since more gamblers around the world are still gambling online even though there is a pandemic that we are facing. This will make their revenue rise up and probably some of the gamblers will just gamble online instead of going to a casino to gamble there since it is less hassle for them.

With the question, an gambling addict can come out of the addiction anytime they want as long as they are willing to remove it. Any gambler who doesn't have the mind to change will always be a gambler. In order for a gambler to come out, he must be ready and willing to sacrifice everything if he really wants to because it will be useless if we are doing it forcely.
Yeah gambler can come out of gambling addictions anytime but they will have to be ready for it and always stay strong if once you decide to do it. Some people become so addicted that they lose their self control but now is really good time for them to come out of this addiction as they are compel to stay at home and not to go to casino so such good time to reduce will of gambling.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: April 10, 2020, 08:32:21 PM
Thinking and calculating how much you have totally lost in gambling might give you a knock in your head if you truly want to recover from your addiction and quit gambling.

There are several methods and you have to choose what's the most comfortable for you.

This is not the best way to quit gambling.
Sometimes, calculating your losses lead you to gamble even more in order to recover them.
And this activity puts you in a vicious cycle that you cannot escape.
Correct, this also possible and it will only brings you to more depressions and it will lead you to play more in order to recover those losses.
Instead of keeping you away it will gives more aggressions to try your luck once you have money to use.
The best way is to have a self will and consider all those mistake and move forward.
No one should ever chase your lose as if you will chase your lose you will always remain worried about it you give will only get tension so just relax and try to reduce your timing for gambling. You should spare time for your family and playing other games. If you feel addiction then stop for while and play later with fresh mind but never spend more mondy just to recover your previous lose.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 10, 2020, 08:06:17 PM

Actually, it's not just fro Wikipedia. I "googled" for the Malawi age restriction and other web sites says that the age limit in Malawi is 5 years. We can argue whether this is OK and normal or not, but that's their law. I personally think that it is a stupid rule. Why can't a 4-year old play casino? What is the difference between a 4-year old and a 5-year old?

Other sources:
- https://www.bestuscasinos.org/blog/why-are-there-age-requirements-for-gambling-online-and-off/
- https://online-slots.co/what-is-the-legal-gambling-age/

As I go thru the link I found this on the details of Wiki.

Quote
Children aged five are permitted in casinos. That is because the younger children (babies) do not know the meaning of money.

Somehow it is a good explanation.
Parents won't give them money since they know nothing about it.
How could they bet on something if they don't know the purpose of money or they don't even have the right amount?

But when the kid goes 8-15 years old then he knows it.
That means they could gamble their way if they have the amount needed.
There is also a chance they will make that money with bad ways.
There is worse than this.
Gabon - There is no official gambling age, although many incorrectly believe it to be 18.

True... They don't know the meaning of money. But neither does a 3-year old kid and yet he is forbidden to be in a casino. That's why I think it is a stupid rule. Either way, I think that any underage person have nothing to do in a casino.
I do agree with you mate people who made this rule must be crazy when they clearly know that gambling is not good for even teen agers as they can not handle the lose of their money we should not put our young generation in this kind of activities. Better let you children grow mentally then let them gamble and ask them to learn how to gamble first then enter casino.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: April 09, 2020, 09:18:46 PM
To be on a safer side better to be away for some time even if the virus has being defeated and to stay safe better to be away as you never know that how fatal it could be in future if one of those still being positive and do not know himself about it .  Nobody would like to take that risk and better to be safe than taking such high risk chances .
We can't pinpoint a day and say all the corona virus has been cleared from this world,it will take months so until that all the entertainment spots will be closed and before opening such spot they have to spry disinfectant all over the place to ensure further security. But as others said people may still have tit so better wait for a month before entering into a casino.
Surely its for the sake of our own safety that all gathering areas are closed so we will stay at home and enjoy indoor games only better not to go out and play in open ground or in any casino.I hope soon the world problem of Carona will be solve then we will be able to enjoy our life well. I will surely start gambling but first let the problem solve yet I am searching for trust worthy online gambling site.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: April 09, 2020, 08:50:07 PM
But to share my opinion, I consider gambling as a threat to gamblers. Yes, there are a lot of people who find happiness in gambling if and only if they can control their selves from this, but no matter how fun can gambling gives to you, the problem is still there, the addiction on it is always there, it grows day by day. There are so many disadvantages of being so addicted in gambling, one of which is forgetting your priority, spending your time to your family and your friend, you won't be able to more productive things than losing money, to the point that even you already lose and don't have enough money to play, you will make ways, there are times that you will ask a request to your friend to give you money as debt. You should be the one who controls the gamble and don't let the gamble control you.
Definitely agreed. On the other hand, it's still depening on the gamblers though most of them have been already eaten of the system since they are missing something which is the discipline. Gambling isn't really made nor intended to be like that but rather it's made to give hope for people that with small money they are willing to risk, their lives can change for good. Some people doesn't see that perspective perhaps they are blinded of their greediness.
Yeah, it is surely not good to become overconfident about gambling. Once you win in gambling you will soon realize that it has the ability to give you Money so then you will be able to use it both for fun and its not bad if you use it for the money-making resource so just chill and enjoy gambling when you enjoy and get fun from it you will not take the stress and will remain healthy.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: April 04, 2020, 07:43:09 PM
Maybe i will Visit my Local gambling place but not right after the Corona because i have something to do first like checking my relatives in some places and also giving help to them because they are the most affected by this Pandemic.
also some Work need to be done as my Work From Home is not a formality and things need to be verify in office after the quarantine ends.
I would defenitely gamble after this crisis. I miss playing to casino because I just used to gamble through online only as the corona virus outbreak started to arise in our country last month. Although it's quite decent to stay put at where I used to gamble now, the fun that casino games still gives me a different satisfaction. For now for the sake our health and other's people health, it's just better to stay at home. Sooner things will to to normal and that's we should look for.
Goodluck mate and i Hope you will Win as Beginners Luck again because of long period of inactivity in gambling lol.
Hope to win as we are on hope only as a gambler we will have to rely on luck. Keeping all your knowledge with you its good to gamble. Once the casinos will be open so people will again move to gamble and I think it's not bad as its just temporary restrictions on casinos that will be solved very soon so wish me the same luck as well.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: April 03, 2020, 09:57:33 PM
The government and the gambling casinos always have precautionary advice to people who are gambling and no good side of gambling can overcome its negative sides, because the side is something we don't want to happen to ourselves to our family and to anyone we knows because can end up your life in big misery.
Agree with you everything is good as well as you are doing it in limit so gambling also has some side effecrs that nerds to be recover by our skulls and making money from it. If gambling is getting you earn more than your expectations then it means you are at good but if its about all lose better stay away from it as its not suitable for you.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: April 03, 2020, 09:25:00 PM
Nope i will never do this for my Own peace of mind, how can you afford looking all the time that the amount is too big compared to how much you win.
better forget this stupidity and Just gamble when you have money and make a rigth decision everytime you gamble.there are so many gamblers that fail because of no discipline and becoming greed as the gambling goes on.

That will give another stress for us if we look at the money that we lost in gambling. Besides that, it can make us cannot sleep well because our mind will think about how we are going to get that money. But having that record can give information about the average of the funds that we use every week or month so we can try to reduce or we can do something to avoid a big loss.
Recording the losses and the wins are part of journalizing,  professional traders are using it in order to find their strengths and their weakness. It is really depends on the person on what he/she will do to their records. Yes it can stop you to gamble anymore but the goal why he/she records will understand more the reasons behind it. I record my losses in order for me to know what is wrong and how I will avoid in order for me to have high chances to win in any gambling games and features.

I think some traders are doing that by making a file that recorded their history in trading, so they know how much their profit and loss. And if they lose, they will try to get back the money in the future. But if in gambling, I don't know about that because maybe some gamblers have that journal for themselves. But for other people, that will make them sad to see how much their loss compare to their win. Yes, that will depend on the person, and every gambler is free to create a journal or not. I hope you can know that in gambling, the chances will be there, but the problem is we don't know when the luck will help us to recover the loss.

trading and gambling are verry simillar activities so yes both recording stuffs can be done  . if pro people do this idea then why not us that are not really that pro ? this should be beneficial so that you are aware if how much you already loose when the time you started gambling but also lets keep in mind that prices of coins fluctuate or dont have the same value everytime you depo and loose   .  better if you can also track your deposits if what time you made it and the time you play that fund for more accurate calculations  .
Yes gambling is risky same as trading so people may lose and win in it if they will keep the record it may help them reduce the risk. People should know how much they are earning and how much they lost so this estimation will tell them is gambling suitable for them or not. If winning is more than lose then its good to keep gaming other wise you need to learn more about gambling.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 02, 2020, 08:02:58 PM
What will most gambling addicts do when they can no longer gamble at casinos, and what do you think they'll do when the casinos reopen in several months from now? Will most of them be finally cured of their gambling addiction, or will most of them return to their old ways?
There are various options they can do to continue playing like online gambling and I know they will do it to satisfy themselves. If the casinos will reopen, some might still play again and some might stop because they don't feel like playing gambling again.
Yeah there is nothing to be worried about as there are so many other ways to gamble such as online gambling as gamblers also know staying home is really important for them. We can use online gambling websites if we are fond of gambling or if we are addicted to gambling. Better control your emotions and not to trust any fake website for gambling as people are trying to take advantage of gamblers addiction.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: April 01, 2020, 08:50:52 PM
Actually being a gambler will not make your reputation low because gambling is not bad at all, yes gambling can destroy your life if you get addicted on it, so if you have a good mindset you won't be addicted on gambling, just control yourself while playing and consider this as for you fun only.
depends in your community because we have different people around us and breeding,if your community is aware about gambling ever since?so there are no problem at all but if not?then our reputation is always at stake remember that.
Gambling will only be bad if you let it controls you and that is when gambling can be called as bad on your life and will make your reputation lower.
but that is the problem mate, people don't know that they are being controlled by gambling and not the gambling that they are controlling.
Gambling is not controlling you until you let it control you as some people become gambling-addicted to then they get no way to escape when once they get trapped in gambling. We should keep control ourselves abs not to spend more than we can afford for gambling. Debt chase your losses just win and come home it's a better way, according to me gambling is not bad if you are not addicted.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 01, 2020, 08:17:26 PM
I am surprised by the age restriction in gambling:
Age 5: Malawi (Casino).
This means that when a child in Malawi is 6 years old, he can attend casinos.
What is the government of this country looking for with this? Exploiting the Casino industry as the main source coupled with tourism is what I believe. Boys at an early age learn the activity and therefore will be exploited for work.

The age level is kind of low.
However, we have to consider how easy is in Malawi to access a casino.
Maybe people are not restricted by age but with other means such as the income level, etc.

Well, they have a reason for it. It said that in Malawi kids over the age of 5 are legally allowed to gamble, which is is really surprising considering the ages required in our country. The reasoning behind it is that after they turn 5, kids should already have an understanding of the concept of money. At first, I thought it is absurd but it has a deeper meaning behind it.
If that's the reason of Malawi, It's still absurd.
There are many countries that have a good education system that makes kids have deep knowledge of things at an early age. Even though they have it, there are existing studies that kids are not good enough to understand the logic behind the money. Therefore, gambling is not really for kids and shouldn't be allowed for kids. There are also many studies that money habits should start at the age of 10 years old.

and your info with the same use of words can be found here: https://www.bestonlinecasino.com/blog/gambling-age-around-the-world.html

5 years old is such a small age that people should not allow their kids to gamble they should be restricted by parents as it's not good for them. I think people should let their children spend time in the study only and allow them to gamble after they become adults so they can control emotions and will know better about the win and lose.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 26, 2020, 08:38:53 PM
Have you known that there is an age restriction in gambling? But it is varied among the countries in the world. I have just checked in wikipedia that commonly someone can play gambling starting from the age of 15/16/18/19/20/21 years. It depends on where he lives, every country may have different regulation related to the age restriction. Below I classify some countries based on the age restriction:

Age 5: Malawi (Casino)

Age 15: Iceland (lottery)

Age 16: United Kingdom (Football pool, Scratchcards), Estonia (other), New Zealand (instant kiwi)

Age 18: Australia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand (horse racing), Palau, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Vanuatu, Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, etc

Age 19: South Korea, Canada, USA

Age 20: New Zealand (Casino), Sweden (Casino), Japan, Nigeria

Age 21: Belgium, Estonia (Casino), Armenia, India, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines (casino), Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Namibia, Niger (casino), Bahamas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, US Virgin Islands (casino), USA, Macau

Age 23: Greece

is this serious?that Malawi is allowing their Children to Play in Casino as in?does the child has their own money to spend for?
the 15-16 from Iceland and UK is tolerable because as i remember i learn gambling at that age but 5?seems very unreasonable to allow to play in CASINO.
That was shocking I didn't know that there would be a place that would allow a 5 year old child to gamble.
I also agree that at teenage year it is tolerable since I think gambling would be one of our way to have fun and excitement.
I remember that I started to gamble at early age maybe around 12 because of basketball.
But to be able to gamble at casino at an early age I don't really think that it would be a good idea.

Well, At the age of 5 in Malawi they are allowed to gamble which may result to early addiction. If the country permits this, all we can do is to guide the young ones of what they are doing and what are the impacts of it. Each country has there own rules and regulations, legal age for gambling may vary place to place. Age Restrictions is a must on Gambling, with regards to young adults like 18 years old, they are not kids anymore they are now accepted and responsible or have control over their actions. This is the reality that we should know from the first place, anything is possible if one permits it.
Right young age people should not allow for gambling as they may lose patience in case of loss and its really harmful. So better gamble age above 25 as this age people can control their emotions and they better know how to gamble properly and young age people should only learn about gambling and betting at home, but don't waste your money and time if you are under 25.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 26, 2020, 08:19:27 PM
I can still sleep mate, I experience losing a big amount of money too in my journey as a gambler, but I know the technique to sleep well, I drink a lot until I get drunk and actually there is no difference when I win in gambling as I also love to drink spending the money that I won, so I have no problem like yours.
Drinking is injurious to health so it's not a good way to get sleep or try to forget your loss. I try to spend time with my family when I lose abs they really give me strength and I become Happy again so I can sleep because I know to lose and profit both are part of life especially a gambler should be strong enough to face all this and even then should sleep peacefully at night.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: March 26, 2020, 07:46:28 PM
In the days when I was addicted to Satoshimines & Bustabits I couldn't control myself  and i only quit when all my money lose in gambling. I also tried to borrow just for the gambling, thing that i regretted before that forced myself to change and limit myself to gambling more. Now I can stop gambling when ever i want and I only play when I want to relax and I can control myself from playing especially when i lose.
Borrowing for gambling should be avoided. It has never been good for a gambler to borrow money for the sake of gambling but it is a fact that many have experienced this due to their addiction.
But as you learn the lesson, you should advise others too whenever you see someone who's going through with the same struggle as you went.
Surely it's not good at all because you never know if you going to win or lose so don't put yourself in risk and only gamble when having your own amount and your own money. Better to play when having an additional income. I use to gamble only when I earn more than usual so I go to the casino and spend some money on gambling and I often win but I never did regret loosing.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: March 26, 2020, 07:16:26 PM
I can stop gambling at any time i wish cause i am not that much addicted now, I just go to the casino for entertainment.
good for you since you can control your desire in playing and i am sure that you did not experienced being true addicted because the way you speak there is no marks of addicted.
If you are addicted on gambling the only solution is spending more time with family, hangout with friends, this will keep you from gambling, it works for me.
it works for you because you are not an addict.

the real one can forget anything in life just to maintain their gambling activities and for you to say that easily?you don't know what gambling addict is.
Yeah its really hard to control your addiction and to get rid of it but for happy gambling time, we need to stay fresh and give time to other activities as well. If you will lose your control and give priority to gambling only then you may lose everything in your life. So better maintain everything equally give limited time to gambling and also avoid addiction as soon as possible.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 25, 2020, 03:32:32 PM
Crypto or online gambling is better than our traditional gambling or casino.
It is easy to access and we can play anytime and any where we want and it is so easy to understand howbto play the games.
But it would also depend on the gambler some would prefer the traditional or casino's.
Access wise you are correct if you have internet and you have mobile device or computer/laptop you can easily go online and play the game
you choose to play, unlike offline gambling/physical gambling where you need to travel and some place ask for show money before you
can enter and play.
Yes, we can gamble both online and in the casino as both of them are good for us. But as per the current situation of the world, I think all over the world its lockdown so it's better to stay at home and not to go any unnecessary places. We can play online with our mobile or PC using an internet connection and it's really reliable if you know how to play online.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 25, 2020, 01:49:08 PM

I think this corona will set a lot of people back on addiction because everyone is isolated at home and they have nothing to do, they don't go to work and they they are basically stuck at home. So of course a lot of people will be working at home and they are totally focusing on gambling by the looks of it which is why there will be a lot more people gambling, and there would be some people who recently quit or maybe quit a bit ago that will relapse and start gambling again.

Hopefully this won't take too long and we will once again go outside, the more we stay inside the more addictions will get worse, not just gambling but other ones as well and that is why it is risky, think of all the people who needs to go to therapy who can't because of it, people who go to psychologist and so forth, basically all have to stuck at home and can't get the help they need.
That's the problem with people who are already attached to this problem, after getting lots of time inside their house they can easily turn their back to again play the games they wanted to play. Addictions to this activities needs a broader help coming from your close relatives, they needed to keep you
busy to other things and not to allow you to be alone since you can just play and gamble back.

If most people at home are addicted to it will be increasingly crazy, which at home is very easy to play gambling. And also if the addiction is too severe, then I'm sure the person concerned will play even more. Because it is impossible for people to survive in the house without doing anything, while the relevant hobby is playing gambling.
This is another serious issue but nothing could be done for this on an official level. The family must keep an eye on the addicts and since it is lockdown almost all over the world, family members can help each other in curbing their addictive desires and actions. This will help reduce addiction to large extend.
