41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: January 19, 2018, 08:28:47 AM
9 Pages and there still isn't discussion about the differences between Bitcoin Private and Monero? Or PIVX, ZCash or Dash?

Monero is years in development and testing and the King of privacy coins. The devs also have several major releases coming soon addressing speed and privacy.

I'm all for advancements in blockchain but if you're going to release a privacy coin, it's merits over existing products needs to be discussed.

ZCL is a clone of ZCash, so you can safely say BTCP will have same features as ZCash, at least initially. Future development may add/remove certain functionalities but that's a discussion for future.

Clone yes, but does not have that insane 20% developer fee as Zcash has and fee free feature will transfer to Bitcoin Private also. In my opinion, all coins that are premined, include fees to developers and/or masternodes are basically scams or alternatively will just make already rich even richer in the end for almost zero work done for it.

This includes Dash too. What do you have to pay, max. $25/month to get turnkey VPN to run masternode? And for that you get ~80 Dash/year which is quite a lot money these days for sitting on your cash.

If you do really think and understand carefully on such transition you will able to say that this is just an indirect reason for them to announce but well i dont really care at all on whats the truth. The thing here is that as long they would give full refund then it wont really be considered as scam anyway it might be uneven or not reasonable basing on previous bitcoins price but you cant argue on this matter.

As said, they don't really have hardware in China. That's just poor excuse to basically throw out people who paid for that hardware and continue to mine with it in to their own pocket or resell those contracts again to new customers. What comes to latter part, I'm not so sure that court would agree with you. Even if it would, morally it's still a scam to rip Bitcoin out of peoples pocket for basically a small portion of what it's worth now. But you are entitled to your opinion as we all are.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com cloud mining scam on: January 18, 2018, 06:41:13 PM
How is this a scam if they are offering a refund?

People bought those contracts in good faith when Bitcoin was $2000-4000 instead of just hodling on their BTC. Now they are offering dollar value back converted to BCH. Think about it and you'll catch why it is a scam.
44  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin.com cloud mining scam on: January 18, 2018, 06:26:13 PM
Thinking about cloud mining? All scams. Today it was Bitcoin.com's turn to scam BTC from their customers.

Bitcoin.com Lifetime Contracts Paused, Full Refunds Available

Due to regulations in China regarding Bitcoin mining, we are moving our mining equipment out of China. Unfortunately this means that we need to pause all lifetime mining contracts until the transition is completed.

Only lifetime contracts are affected. Other contracts, such as 1 year or 6 month mining contracts, are located in the USA so are not affected.

You have two options at this time:

Receive a 100% full refund of your initial USD cost (paid in BCH at current exchange rate). Your contract will permanently end if you chose a refund.
Pause your contract from January 18th until approximately April 30th while we move our hardware to a data center outside of China.

Refunds are available now, and can be requested until our hash rate is back online.

To receive your full refund, please go to your purchased contracts page, click on your contract, then click "Refund" to complete the process.

If you prefer your contract to be paused until our hash rate is back online, no action is required.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Funniest thing for this excuse is that these guys barely had any hashpower in China. Their hardware seems to be mainly in US and they continue mining into their own pockets with the hardware their customers paid for. Scam well done, Roger Ver and Co.

Wow the price in RMB is quite high compare to what we had to pay. They pay around 3500$ each.
Fare enough the iphone is also a bit pricy compare to western countries.

Yeah, but if they get miners in 4 days from order as said they'll make it atleast 3-4x back before rest of the world get their hands on the miners.

Some people paid today and  now the order is unpaid expired???
i Paid within 5 minutes after made the purchase and the transaction was confirmed within 20 minutes....
And now??? I open a ticket with bitmain....
Help!

Relax and wait for 24 hours atleast. They'll confirm your payment manually later. That's why they propably stopped the sales.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 17, 2018, 09:12:49 AM
Guys, i live in china... im sure you know bitmain have one site for china and one for the rest of the world... i dont know how many machines were there for the global site... but there were 6000 for china... and they were sold for 20800 RMB around 3200$...

i got one, they will deliver in china between 4 days, so ill share some pics when i get mine... and show the profits after one week... im ready to plug it in as soon as i get it...  hopefully the difficulty will stay at current level for a couple weeks to get my money back... after that if it drops... ill just resell the machine... lol

So then it's atleast 10 000 units in the batch, as 3 200 sold now on international site.

Got one...

Love the blockchain...see the money flows into this account. So far it looks like they have sold over 1400 units

https://www.blocktrail.com/BCC/address/1NrMNvxsDwsQ9DA4styegmTue9tPPsV9bg

Please stop already, lol. So difficulty will atleast triple quadruple when all these are online? Hopefully they'll not sell more than 2000 units.

Got one. How strict is that 1 hour payment? Waiting for my BCH to arrive from bittrex.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Bitmain A3 Blake2b asic miner on: January 17, 2018, 05:53:10 AM
If it's 2.30pm GMT +8, the it would be in 40 minutes. So I guess none is sold yet.

Propably those who get in the first batch see some nice returns, but if they produce more than one it'll be just another D3.

Is Siacoin only one which can be mined with this?

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 17, 2018, 12:38:52 AM
Some say that BCC will have fixed internal price of 363.62 USD. If you sell on outside exchanges you get what you get, but inside of the platform you have 5 days to take money at that price.

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2k0FER5PE4

He has inside information about this. Could be true or not, we shall see...

In BitConnectX BCC is worth of $20, so that's bullshit. The money is already gone and you can't do shit about it. Either hold and hope for the best or cash out now what you can.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 17, 2018, 12:25:19 AM
BitconnectX Total sold today : 13,695.97258811

Can't believe that people still send money to them.  Huh

Are you ready to go to moon?!

Now is the last change to jump on the train before fork date is announced. ZCL will surely 2-3x from current value really soon, if not even more.  Grin

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: January 12, 2018, 09:10:48 PM
I'm getting around 7 USD a day through zpool, what's a good pool to use these days? Granatgas is back up but only does btc payouts, too expensive for txs

On ViaBTC I've been getting 0.0085-0.009 DASH per day this week, which is $9 or more. Try that.

This is for 2 D3's (19.3 GH/s):
