Warhawk,

Would it be possible to get an unconfirmed coin total line in the dashboard?

Also, maybe a payout per block in the block stats page, like what each block paid the person?

Not sure how the front end is programed, or I would send some code snippets for what I was thinking.

Thanks

Been a couple of unlucky days. But everything shifts back and forth.

Luck will soon be our way again Grin

I was bored so did some math.

168363 shares, 1034 stale, works out to 0.6 %. It would probably be lower
if I used --nosubmitstales, but about half the time they get accepted, so I don't Shocked
Just try to find that somewhere else.

I used coinotron before finding here and ran like 6-10 % stale

47  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC to USD on: May 22, 2013, 07:36:02 PM
That may ne very true Grin, but I just don't see main stream banks doing so lol.

I still stand by my statment that this will never take off till mr. normal can do so without 6 hoops, five transfers,
and someone at each step with there hand out for a %.

The normal mainstream person will just not stand for it.

Like my wife, she think it all a big scam you cant make money with.
Yes she sees me make money, but sees the hoops you gotta go thru to get cash, and how banks wanna charge ya $50 to a wire trans, so to her, and most main street people the see it as a rip off. HEr words not mine, but so telling.
48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC to USD on: May 22, 2013, 07:18:37 PM
Well, if i had a pocket full of euros or yen, i would walk the block to the bank.

In about 5 min I would walk out with good old greenbacks, lol.

WHY is it so hard to get cash for btc?
49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC to USD on: May 22, 2013, 06:01:18 PM
Why is it so hard to get cash for your btc?

I am an above avg. skill computer user, so the technical parts are gravy to me, but not to most people.
The hoops to get cash back and the cost will keep the avg person from the whole btc scene.

If ya go the whole bank wire route the cost can be almost $50, just in wire fees.
The normal person trading $100-$200 wont pay that much.

I think till you can just get plain old cash for then easy it will just be a geeks market, and rise to the price everyone hopes.

Got to be a better way  Shocked

Just checked that out. I live in the country and it looks like the nearest sellers are over 100 miles away.

Not sure about an on line transaction thru there. Is it safe?

51  Other / Beginners & Help / BTC to USD on: May 22, 2013, 05:11:06 PM
I have been using Fastcash4bitcoins to do this then put the money in my paypal account.
Have had MANY good transactions with them. Now the site says they have no funds to buy BTC  Cry

I have read this entire thread and many others on the whloe BLF circlejerk, as we would have said in the service.

To all you who are pissed, this is an idea I have not seem even mentioned yet.

Now I have not ordered from them so have no dog in this fight.

I keep hearing that the person who runs this company is a convicted felon on probation.
Has anyone called and talked to his supervision officer themselves. You all know that this is a matter of public record.
All you have to do is look it up and make a couple of phone calls. OR just call the nearest federal courhouse to where he is and ask to speak to the agent in charge.

As a retired community intergration officer (ie. probation officer), I can tell you how interested I would have been if it had been brought
to my notice that one of my probationers was involved in something like this.
I can say that I would have had him infront of a judge so fast, he would have wondered what happened.
I am willing to bet the judge would have revolked on the spot, and back to jail you go.

Soooo, maybe one of you with a dog in the fight minght want to try that.

Let me know how it goes.

56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING! Bitcoin will soon block small transaction outputs on: May 14, 2013, 02:54:59 PM
Gavin Andresen has changed the Bitcoin code to block any output with a value of less than 54uBTC:

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2577

Many Bitcoin users are going to be affected and see their funds blocked. For instance ASICMiner share payments, BitHits faucet payments, anyone depending on microtransactions. If you depend on small payments you need to change your business model now or find yourself shutdown overnight.

Gavin: It's sad that you aren't willing to speak about this publicly on the forums, rather than hiding away all the debate on GitHub away from the general public.

edit: To be clear, I like the patch: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2577#issuecomment-17138223

What I don't like is when I realized not once had Gavin or anyone else in the development team made a public statement that this change was coming down the line. If I hadn't made this post, for all I know it would have been hidden away in the next Bitcoin-QT with no warning at all, right when we all have to upgrade before May 15th.

Why isn't think on your blog or someone else so people have time to change the way their businesses operate? Why the secrecy?

For the record, the forums no longer count as "public" as in "well informed public" but "public" as in "mob". I can understand why this wouldn't have been done on the forum. No offense, but you're a user with 28 Posts and you're essentially accusing one of the most important guys in bitcoin of some sort of underhanded secrecy. That doesn't mean that you can't be right, but still, it's a mob mentality down here, and there are thousands of us down here ready to tear anything apart.

Well if walks and sounds like a duck, it is.  What makes this Gavin person any more important the anyone else?  I am willing to bet he profits from this somehow. Maybe all us unwashed masses should revolt. Down with the king

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][LTC][POOL][PPLNS][STRATUM]Invasion Mining Network[200mhash] on: May 12, 2013, 10:38:05 PM
I see the diff went up from 19 to 32. Does the amount per share change to more as the worker diff goes up?

I am still trying to figure all the different payment systems. Getting a good understanding of them now, but still trying to see how things like worker diff affect things

Does it also reduce the load on the stratum server?

Thanks in advance for any anwsers you can give

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][LTC][POOL][PPLNS][STRATUM]Invasion Mining Network[200mhash] on: May 10, 2013, 02:57:18 PM
But the diff has not changes that much. So then it is just luck. I have a hard time beliving coinotron is that much luckier. I guess I just don't understand how all the reward systems work. I read the explantions in the forum, and still don't get it. To me it seems that pps is the better way to go. It is all supposed to even out but I just don't see it. Please explain for a thick headed guy, lol

Thanks

Edit:

Ok, after re-reading the payout system posts, I think I might maybe get it Huh

Then to me at least, the coins/day est. on the pool stats page should reflect the pools avg luck, instead of just the 50% estimate all the other calcs give.

I mean people would probably like a true est. better the the 50% that we hope to have the pools luck at.
Is this even do-able. It would reflect a more solid guess at coins/day.

Example:

The pools status page says I should get 5.4 coins/day and that I get about 0.85 coins/round.
Doing the math on that comes out to we need to find 7 blocks a day to hit the est.

Looking back thru the block sat page I don't even see a day the pool got 7 blocks, so how can the est. be 5.6/coins/day.
The avg block/day seems like about 4 blocks/day, so the est should read around 3.6 coins/day.

Am I missing something? Maybe not do-able?

Any thoughts on this would be great.

Very nice pool guy. Very low stales and nice low share diff. to let ya run older stuff and still get a fair return.

But, and there always seems to be one.

My last pool was Coinotron. There with 3 X 7950 I was getting 3.7 ltc a day, every day.
I added a 7950 to have 4 x 7950 and joined your pool.
Now over the last three days i made roughly 3.5 coins/day with your pool, how is it that I get .2 less coins/day with a 25% increase in hash power.
Also you pool stats page says I should get 5.5, and so do all the calcs online.

Please help a newbie to understand before i add more cards, and or, switch pools again cuz i do like this one.

Thanks.

P.S.

My buddy with the same setup got a steady 5.3 coins/day with coinotron. I am so confused
