I’ve been in these forums for a few days now. I’ve been reading everyone’s great posts and looking at the massive boost that bitcoin has had over the last 6 months. But how far can it really go? Could this be the landmark that takes down the “banks” and really puts us in control of our own (hard earned) cash?
Bitcoin would go the farther way people can even imagine now. Just imagine a world of crypto economy and no banks Yes, I believe in the possibility that bitcoin still has room to grow in the future. But the thought of it replacing Banks just doesn't sit well with me. Perhaps Bitcoin will be another alternative other than banks. Both have pros and cons to consider but banks have been present for a long time and are well received by most people.

Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...
What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?
Thanks
I think this would be an unwise decision. A stable source of income is till much preferable to have than something that is highly volatile in nature. Perhaps you could consider bitcoin as a secondary source of income.

If I were you, I'd sell 50% of the altcoins and buy bitcoin then hold it because I believe that current price of bitcoin can still potentially rise. The remaining 50% altcoins will be for trading.

I have opportunity in overseas job around 1000 usd. but my mind now not in a stable manner.
please guide me whats the best option doing crypto currency on the home or move to the job overseas?
I still prefer a stable source of income. Crypto is just another way for me to generate extra income. So you can actually do both man. Take the job offer, because a good job opportunity hardly comes by. Then you can do crypto in your days off. Simple.

I have some satoshi in my blockchain wallet. I was wondering how to claim the equivalent amount of coins because of all the Bitcoin hardfork like Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin United, etc.
Thanks in advance.
That depends whether you were holding some bitcoins on your blockchain wallet before the fork and if blockchain supports the fork. If you did have some on your wallet before the fork and blockchain also supported the fork, I think they will give you instructions on how to claim the forked coins. Otherwise, you don't get to have them.

Yes, and arguably the most widespread way of making bitcoin and the whole crypto known to the world. Social media has become the most used outlet for disseminating information nowadays. Without a doubt, Social Media has helped the growth of Bitcoin.

I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.
I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.
Now, what have been your experience with internet scams? How do we help people not to get scammed?
I do believe we had had our fair share of instances where we were victims of scams. I haven't been scammed in bitcoin though(Well not yet). My experience of this was when I was playing a certain MMORPG and we all know scammers are quite popular and prevalent in online games especially when it comes to trading. Advice on how not to get scammed? Be vigilant at all times. If something is to good to be true, it probably is. Only you can protect yourself.

I think that this is actually an ideal way of preserving profits because you can never tell what will happen to bitcoin or the whole crypto. I, for one, would like a tangible appreciating asset(like gold) in the long run rather than virtual/intangible one.

It's really up to you man. It's your money. But if you take a look at bitcoin right now, why not try riding it? I think you wouldn't lose out considering that $500 dollar you got for a favor.
This is definitely one of the many problems Bitcoin is having right now. Fees are becoming excessively high especially for small time investors. But I don't think that this problem alone will be the cause of bitcoin's downfall. Perhaps it would affect transaction volumes, but since people dig the way bitcoin is skyrocketing in value, they will still continue to use bitcoin.

Well, i only have one reason. Profit. This is reality. People invest because they expect to have profits. I doubt anyone holding bitcoin right now will continue to hold bitcoin forever because reality will not permit that. I don't suppose you continue to hold your bitcoin until you die because what is the point in that? At the end of the day, it all comes down to profit making. You might say that Bitcoin was created for certain purposes(decentralization and etc...), but all i could see right now is that people involving themselves with Bitcoin basically for the reason of gaining profits.

I haven't tried trading yet. So for now, I guess I'll just stick to joining in bounty campaigns. Yes, you are right when you said that there are less signature campaigns who offer Bitcoin exclusively as payment. Add to that the limited number of participants needed. But I can say that these type of campaigns are worthy of your time and effort especially if managed by a notable, experienced and trusted campaign managers in this forum.
Bitcoin for me right now is just another means to earn income because a stable job with a stable pay still what suits me best. Although Bitcoin was created with a specific purpose of decentralization, It has been experiencing a lot of problems, for example, the never ending high volume of unconfirmed transactions, the high amount of TX fees and etc. These things has worried many people who are involved in Bitcoin including me.

I think you mean campaigns like signature campaigns promoting ICOs and newly born token out there. Well if you want be sure that a campaign is paying. Check carefully if it is still on going or it is not already ended. Review some background regarding their project and the team organizing it. Join their groups like in social medias like facebook, twitter, telegram, etc. Verifying campaigns you want to join is big deal to make sure that it is worth your time promoting them. You can also include the competence of Bounty Campaign Managers as a factor when you choose bounty campaigns. There are a lot of notable, trusted and experienced Bounty Campaign Managers in this forum. Look for their profile and their past works.

I agree with buying a fraction of Bitcoin because the current price right now is just too high. How about going for altcoins as well? there are a lot of altcoins that have potential to grow. Look for hidden gems in the top 20 altcoins.
This is hard to determine. But if i have to guess what the average amount of BTC's that the average bitcoin user has in them, probably between 0-1 BTC. With BTC's current value, i doubt people would actually buy 1BTC.
This is heartbreaking, considering the value of 1 BTC right now. Not to mention the Time and Effort invested on it. I can only lament on your loss. To avoid this kind of scenario in the future, everyone should be vigilant enough. We, ourselves, are the only ones who could protect our own bitcoins because their safety are determined by our own safety practices.

Bitcoin's performance for past 2 days is absolutely ridiculous! I wouldn't be surprised to see 20k by Sunday if this keeps up! I think we are seeing a 25k before 2018!

Just needed clarification on Signature campaign sir Ehrhc. Let's say our post count for each week has reached the minimum 10 posts, but then some of our older posts(not part of the 10) are being deleted for whatever reason, this would surely affect the overall total post count of a particular individual. But then we can check that individual through profile and see the number of post per day because every post is recorded with a date and time. So, regardless of the individuals Overall Total Post Count, should we just tally the total number of post for a particular day/week?
Best Regards, WhichIsGood
OMG! DUDE DUDE DUDE...We are not assholes! We will go to each profile of you who joined the signature, we will look at your joining date, check the posting and count it after that!.... CHILL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! REMEMBER PROJECT C : WE ARE YOU! Okay, this is clarified. Thank you sir Ehrhc.
