41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I buy in this dip on: June 14, 2018, 04:13:05 PM
Recently, I strengthened my holdings on;

ICX, ONT, VEN, WAN, and NANO

I think NEO, ZIL and KMD are also great choices.  I hold NEO, I just think my list above will do better--return wise.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This dip is great! on: June 13, 2018, 04:46:16 PM
So sad that I don't have free fiat (used what I have and bought about 2 weeks ago)...so can't buy at these great prices.

If I can, I want to buy more; ONT, ICX, WAN, and VEN.

Re: buy in point...I have no idea anymore but the current prices should provide handsome returns in a few months.  Either that or crypto really went down the drain.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin back to $500 is likeley on: June 11, 2018, 04:31:31 PM
Very unlikely. Smiley
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: June 09, 2018, 04:51:45 PM
I am going to remind something that all you have forgotten. neo holders received half of Ont airdrops in March, and it is said the remaining half will be paid when mainnet is released. how will we claim that thing?
It should appear in your NEO wallet.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy KIN? on: June 08, 2018, 04:27:22 PM
Kin is forced blockchain technology use product. Also KIK their messenger has beeen dying for years, I highly doubt this project will do well. They raised a ton of money in ICO and many investors got screwed because of how they structured it.

My kids and their classmates/friends shared the same thoughts.  Personally I have no clue.

I guess the message is; number of accounts doesn't really reflect active users.

Not sure if they are more active outside the USA though.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VeChain and the China Hustle on: June 08, 2018, 03:31:55 PM
I wondered for SO long why nobody else said much about this! It is not just VeChain, it is other China projects like AAChain and what not. I hear their speeches, I see their news and ALL of it is absolute garbage and hype. I am not even very technical at all and already I can see the huge difference between say Ethereum and shit like Vechain.

All these people spend money going around talking about how great their product is. But they do not seem to understand one word of coding.

To be fair there are CEO/President/Owner who may not be technically savvy but great managers (or just have lots of money).

I say this w/o knowing who you are referring to so maybe I am off.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VeChain and the China Hustle on: June 08, 2018, 03:07:34 PM
True.  They saw the opportunity and jumped on it.

Other countries need to compete.  One reason why I am embracing Korean coins too as part of my diversification.  However, I am guilty of holding Chinese coins as majority of my portfolio.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: June 08, 2018, 03:00:58 PM
Very interesting project. I have been watching this project for a long time, and it seems to me that this can become one of the most powerful projects in 2018. In addition, the coin is very volatile and it makes possible to earn big money with trading.

Sorry to disagree.

It is a lot more stable than BTC (or at least 90% of the other coins) actually if you compare the charts.  The growth continues despite the erratic BTC trend.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Quarkchain speculation to go up like ziliqa? on: June 07, 2018, 01:43:18 PM
Is there any truth in the rumors that they don't really have innovate anything but just have copied zilliqa's technology and came up with a ico full of hype ? Which would you prefer out of the two ?

I have neither of them but ZIL is next in my buy list.  Better yet just buy ONT.  LOL  Wink
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Quarkchain speculation to go up like ziliqa? on: June 06, 2018, 06:30:58 PM
This is crazy, I read somewhere yesterday that ifone invested into the public sale that the value is now 26Ethers, I don't know who is manipulating the price but this is a one of, for sure the price will level out soon and all these price speculators will leave the space

Rumor has it (from various source too) that Binance hold most of the coins and is manipulating the price.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: June 06, 2018, 06:11:51 PM
Love ONT and I hold a decent amount of it.

The only thing that worries me is the fact that only 15% of the coin supply is circulating.  Once the rest are released, it might cause a big drop in coin price.

What do you think?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Quarkchain speculation to go up like ziliqa? on: June 06, 2018, 03:28:10 PM
Too much noise that this is a junk (P&D) coin.  Too risky...I will stay away myself.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICON ( ICX ) The Korean ethereum,BN: Chin Dae-je, former executive of Samsung on: June 05, 2018, 07:08:10 PM
There is rumors of Samsung partnerships on ICX reddit now too

The rumours turned out to be true. Samsung has announced the usage of CHAIN ID technology by ICON in the authentication service Samsung Pass.

Why do not we see a moon then? This is great. We all know that South Korea economy is big, they have big brands and they love cryptocurrencies. This samsung news is awesome. Why is Icon team is so slow in development? Is there any updates regarding the main net? Eos team, Neo team even Cardano team works better

SLOW???  ICX is very new and they've delivered so much in a short span of time.  They have so many partnerships going already.   Mainnet 1.0 was launched since January.

It is not growing because it wasn't noticed as much yet (too many people focused on BTC, BCH and ETH--plus BTC tanking affects everything negatively) Wink   I think it will skyrocket shortly though.  This is one of the most under rated coins IMHO.

Another release and another huge partnership from ICON less than in a month since this our chat. Android wallet is released and the partnership with Korea Custom Service is made to provide them blockchain solution. So ICON development is far from being slow imho. As for price, ICX still isn't such a giant to rocketmoon while general bearish trend, but as was fairly mentioned it's the coin you can be confident in.
At $2.69 each, I think this is one of the cheapest good quality coin right now...so I just bought more. Cheesy
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: To fiat funds, what is the better exchange ? on: June 04, 2018, 12:40:34 PM
I use GDAX...free to deposit (with a week wait).  Free to buy BTC/BCH/ETH/LTC on limit section.

They only offer US $, British Pound, and Euro pairings though.

When in a hurry, I use the parent company... Coinbase (and pay fees).
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did crypto become mainstream too early? on: June 02, 2018, 07:23:26 PM

Hear me out: I think we got too popular too fast. The normal person on the ground would expect to use crypto much more for daily-life transactions but this is not currently the case. Maybe we needed some more time for the technology to mature (no scaling issues, slow transactions, etc) THEN the normies come in. Right?
I am too old to know what or who you refer to as "normies". Cheesy

I don't think crypro became popular too fast and I don't think crypto reached mainstream yet.

That out, I think what happened is too many people speculated and pumped money on crypto to make instant money and when the price started to correct, they did a massive cash out (bailed out) causing the crash.

What we need are investors who actually believe in it and not just for a quick cash.  People who actually learn/know/understand the potential of crypto technology.   I mean we all want quick cash but most members here (I hope) are more for the long haul, come good or bad times.

The future is here, and I am glad I caught it in its infancy. Smiley
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Expectation on DeepOnion on: June 02, 2018, 05:04:21 PM
Keep watching on DeepOnion for last 2-3 weeks. Seems like DEV are doing great job. What's your thought on this coin? Please be constructive and suggest me something which make sense. Should I go for it? I'm thinking of investing on it.
I do not expect anything from this coin. Please mind that this coin has very big premine and is only a fork of TORCoin. The only advantage is the big community they built around this project.

Same here.  The "community" is hyping it only because they get tons of free coins.  Once that ends, I believe massive dumping will happen.

Investment wise, I think there are many better opportunities out there.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ontology ONT - Price speculation on: June 01, 2018, 02:37:11 PM

100k Ont are worth over 700k$....
Only for the big players  Embarrassed

True, but IIRC, there will be opportunities for smaller investors later...something similar to DPOS system (again, I am not 100% certain about this).
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Coin for 2018 -- 10x on: June 01, 2018, 05:33:24 AM
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  Likewise, the "best" coin is likely different for everyone. Wink

KMD is good but my bet is on;

ONT, VEN, ICX, ARK, NEO, WAN, and RPX

These coins represent 94% of my portfolio and reflects how much I believe in them. Smiley

If I have extra cash, I might add ZIL, ELF, or ACT in my list.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ARK] Ark Speculation on: May 31, 2018, 04:42:51 PM
Seriously, ARK is giving dates? What is happening here? Yes, this is the moment most of you have been waiting for - the release date of the new ARK Core v2 codebase for public testing on DevNet (our public test network). This is not a MainNet release, only for our testing DevNet, but the code for v2 will finally be available for the world to see, test and contribute to.

ARK Core v2 codebase will become available on:

Thursday, the 14th of June 2018
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fell from 60k dollars to 5k dollars - what s the way to 100k on: May 30, 2018, 02:01:46 PM
I started my crypto journey with only 4500 dollars at the end of October. I made good altcoin choices and with the bull market my trex account had around 60k dollars.
Then the crash hit my precious coins, I was the queen than became a total bag holder. Still holding my 5 month old coins, I think I am at the disbelief episode.

Any suggestions how can I go all the way up?

x13+ is very impressive, almost twice what my portfolio did.

Without knowing what coins you have now, it is guess work for us but sounds like you are a gambler (judging by the return %age).  You chose winners (likely short term) so you did something right.

Repeat your process (what you did) but this time, have an exit strategy...say withdraw 20% every time your portfolio increase by 100% (just a sample).  If you did this, you probably have more than $30,000 at the very least now.

I also suffered big loss (not as much as you did) and regret not doing what I am telling you now...it is easier said than done because of GREED.  It is  a double edged sword and will give you smaller return if the growth trend continues but that is an unlikely scenario.  This method is a safe & good compromise IMHO that I plan on implementing this time around.

Good luck!
