As it's a fund we are setting the maximum number of tokens at 100,000,000 with a $1 USD valuation, but the minimum raise we are looking for in the ICO will be $5mill.  This will allow us to build a start up buffer of funds to welcome our first few pipeline projects to Dubai and also provide a venture capital fund with which to invest in other opportunities.  By buying the token our pool of investors will be able to utilise the token in the pre-sale of any of the businesses, projects and opportunities that come through our programme or that we are investing in

That's a really good point but also you need to weigh that up with the fact that most ICO's perhaps in earlier stages of team or product development don't get taken as seriously as those that already have a full team, some platform development done, a nice shiny white paper and a really sound pre marketing campaign.  And that all requires a bit of early stage cash - so I think the fact the very early stage investors risk more is why they get more benefit.  But I agree with you that initial should mean initial - but it would help if there was more acceptance of early stage projects at ICO stage though - a consistency in white paper information and more transparency about what was being invested in for each offering would maybe help negate the need for a pre sale

That seems more reasonable - also the use of the word "possibly" is more accurate, as nothing with real estate is ever guaranteed.  Would be happy to take a look at the project if you want to dm me any links I can advise on most real estate in the UK and US if that helps.

I have a real estate background and 20-30% is hard to guarantee particularly if the model is buying to then rent out, average rental yields in the UK are below 10%.  For larger scale development projects that return is feasible but your money will be tied up for longer - so not sure how they are guaranteeing it - that would be worth checking.

I've seen a few interesting property projects though within the crypto space so there's a few good ideas out there.

We are currently raising a pre sale for our ICO and one of the reasons is to ensure that the product and concept are fully ready for ICO stage.  It's also good to have early ambassadors on board with the project and it allows early stage costs to be covered such as marketing, platform development.  For us it means that at least when we are launching the ICO the idea has already gained quite a bit of traction.

Note from the Founder

Thanks for taking the time to read through our white paper for the presale of our Rock Ventures ICO.  The reasons for producing a document and a pre sale at such an early stage have been outlined above, but I just wanted to add a personal note from myself.  As you can see from my experience, I myself am relatively new to the world of blockchain and crypto currency having only studied it for around 6 months, but the main thing that has concerned me as we have been in the process of building this business is the amount of opportunity in this industry for companies to raise funds - sometimes extremely large amounts of funds - and then not follow through on what they are intending to build.

My reason for building a start up and venture fund in the Middle East and raising funds in order to do so comes from an understanding of the market, a commitment to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation and a genuine desire to see technology drive us forward.  But anyone could easily say that in a White Paper.  So I wanted to release our information early and work with the extended community to make sure at all times we are building in safeguards and easily identifiable milestones for our growth, but also to welcome as many thoughts, ideas and suggestions from the blockchain community as possible.  

Because what we are trying to build doesn’t serve the standard business world that I come from - it aims to serve the new world of technology that you come from.   Our door will always be open to input and feedback on how we can be building that better, and incorporating more ways to serve this next generation of blockchain innovators.
