41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 09, 2017, 05:17:39 PM
I've invested in Komodo about 5 months ago. I was very excited about the project and basically the team's philosophy behind it. Here is few of my perspective on the project based on reading/studying their website/papers, trying to use their wallets, and monitoring KMD price:

1- Agma wallet hasn't been working when I first invested in KMD 5 months ago, and still it is not working based on several comments I've seen in this forum recently.

2- The project gives big promises however when it comes to just a working GUI it fails to deliver (at least in this 5 months)

3- The JL777 seems to be a nice and knowledgeable person but no one knows who he actually is.

4- The founder of this project also has 2 other projects under his development, Nxt, and BitcoinDark (BTCD). It seems to me komodo is invented to finance the prior projects that have been failed to get completed (even though they gained more traction).

5- The komodo platform was advertising about their BIG announcement, but when it came to it they did it with a very poor presentation and in a not so professional way, with technical broadcasting issues. Also part of the big announcement was basically few promises that some businesses are interested to integrate komodo platform into their systems but whether they will actually implement this is unknown.

This is just my honest feedback having been studying this project for few months and I personally invested heavily on it but recently liquidated most of my positions.

Now we will see people here with "newbie" accounts come to say I'm a "troll" or "FUDer". But these words were basically invented to shut down any coherent debate and argument.

Also to be clear I'm not saying this project doesn't have any future and I hope I'm wrong about it, but based on my personal experience with this project I came to above conclusions.

1. Agama wallet is being continuously improved, it is almost ready for stable operations across OS.

2. I dont remember promising a flawless GUI by any specific date.

3. Your point is? We seem to know many like karpeles, but does that help much? https://github.com/jl777 has all the code open source. Do you prefer non-anon dev with closed source as many projects are?

4. I was just a third party dev for NXT. I didnt start BTCD, but I became its lead dev. It is converted to KMD and not actively developed anymore. Your comments here indicate a distinct lack of factual understanding

5. dICO is enabled by the existing tech of JUMBLR and barterDEX and assetchains. And we are first to admit we must improve in the presentations area.

I think you were the one complaining about lack of ROI...

Well 30x this year for KMD and 500x if you bought BTCD at its prices a few years ago. I am sorry but such meager returns is all I seem to be able to achieve. Sorry to disappoint

I was originally "complaining" about not having a working wallet.....having a wallet that works properly so that investors can transfer their coins from the exchange to a wallet that they're comfortable with, I think, is the least a developer team can do. however, except the very first time that I used it, the Agma wallet has been giving errors, such as not being able to connect easily (unless you change some scripts in one of the files), not showing the balances correctly, not being able to understand if our KMDs are transferred to another wallet after clicking "Send" button, etc...

So it was this issue above for a while which eventually made me curious to see how much other projects have been appreciated in price (and yes, like most people I like to invest in things that appreciate in price a lot- and I'm sure you too) during the same time period...I posted something few days ago, listing 10-12 other coins which were launched this year or some that had been launch after KMD did, and you can see that some appreciated in price by 100x.....that's because when you look at their website, they have clear explanation of what the crypto is, a road-map that explains every step of the way, coin specifications/config, etc, etc....I don't see such things in komodo platform site even after the website upgrade....

What's with all the whinning? If you are so dissatisfied with your returns sell your position and move along. You claim you invested 5 months ago, if you did you already HAVE seen pretty good returns. What are you expecting 100% return on every investment? You must be one of the idiots that never traded stocks before crypto. People in those markets rave about getting a yearly 6%-8%. Aww but you don't like the GUI of the wallet, how about liking decentralized ICO's ?
Your either a jackass or serious troll.

Guys the shows over for me. Trippled my investment before closing out. Upon doing some digging, I Don't like what I'm seeing here any longer. Bots controlling prices, Devs GOA and Bitsend, Deep Onion and Bitcore look awfully too similar. Heck If I didn't know better I'd say It's the same cat running the 3 coins. Don't mean to spread FUD but DO YOUR HW. I've been reading here some of these post for a lot longer than what I've posted and gotten to appreciate the insight some of you provided. I felt it was necessary to spark the seed of curiosity for those are already seeing the red flags. Bears make money, Bulls make money but blind pigs get slaughtered. Best of luck

Thanks for the cheese!

You did your homework so good that you didn't see how bitsend has bitcore in it's goddamn signature... I mourn the oxygen that was wasted for you..

I hope you're right your own sake, otherwise maybe we can start a go fundme account for you and your family. Btw do me a favor ... get the current market cap and divide that by the total supply of coins expected to be in circulation by November 2. I'll help you out since maybe numbers is not your thing...

(1,756,110)/(16,294,800) = 0.107~

so roughly come November if all coins are dropped at once the inflation will make each coin worth about $0.10. Nearly a 4000% decrease from current price... a bloody massacre.  How many coins are do you HoDL? I might need to wear black on November 2 for all the piglets that will get slaughtered.

Trust me I'll be watching and if I'm wrong well at least the coins will be so dirt cheap i can pick up about 2k for $200. Like I said I hope i'm wrong! Cheers!

I am very surprissed that people are selling KMD, decentralized ICO? is crazy. Seems people are selling KMD because the team use a very bad presentation? incredible... good work KMD

People aren't selling because of the presentation, people are setting because of the volume created by Komodo during this period which made it very attractive for swing traders AKA Pumpers and Dumpers. Once the dust settles Price should stabilize around $4

Hello!
Yesterday bougnt some tokencard coins so I`m in the game))
have to do the best to promote this project if I`ve choose it.

How did you make this decision? Wink

Considering none of them (TenX, MCO or TKN) have a card out in circulation, I would say Tenx and MCO are overvalued at this point. The Clear choice is TKN.

Komodo is pumping pretty bloody hard right now, do you guys think that it will still be a good buy in November? Also how high do you guys see KMD going in the next 2-3 years?

For Q4 a lot of it depends on tomorrow.  If its the game changer everyone else is expecting I would expect to follow Monero style growth.  As for 2-3 years...sky's the limit.

I like the idea of the final airdrop taking place with in 1-2 years on quarterly basis
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: September 07, 2017, 05:12:52 AM
i think xrp is a LONG term hold. it has to much support for it to not be.

I don't think you Jimmy's get it. XRP has managed to become a FAT cat in the game by sucking up BTC from all the investors hoping to see a return. The circulation supply is so big that XRP can simply continue to release coins at a rate that keeps the price low (hence enticing Mooners) while increasing its market cap.  If XRP finally hits a $1 it's market cap will be larger facebook and google combined. For this to occur it would need to have a word wide monopoly  in the banking system and little to no competition challenging its turf.  If you are jumping into ripple now, the train already left you. Perhaps if all the stars line up properly for this coin then possibly your grandchildren can benefit from your efforts.

P.S. When ripple finally hits the $1 everyone is chasing imagine where the rest of market will be? NOT FUD LOGIC.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ADEX]*new thread* - AdEx Network - Decentralized Ad Network on: September 07, 2017, 01:40:25 AM
Adex is back up again successfully. I couldn't catch that dip which took place but whoever took risk is happy now. Adex should be treated as underdevelopment and should be treated same way to be ready to see changes in prices. When working platform will be ready we will see price on the rise consecutively till then volatility is higher in any market.

I've been following ADX for a while now and was seeking a good entry point...boy were my prayers answered!  its still way undervalued IMO even at the current price its a steal.

Is there a OS wallet? I can't for the life of me figure it how to install it.

They might never let a coin get listed with such a big dev-owned premine that Bitcore currently has. That's why we have to get rid of it in the November by dropping it to holders so the BTX can progress forward. If we keep on the air dropping at 3% we cannot get listed to bigger exchanges in 2-4 years!

Regarding the November's drop - I suggest to do four consecutive 10% -> 40% -> 30% -> 20% (total 100%) weekly drops instead of one 100% drop for the whole November to limit the dumping. These four massive drops should also scale regarding to how much/many BTX one is holding. If you dump after the first or second massive drop you will not get as much in the third and fourth massive drop. The biggest 40% drop is second because it will also smoothen dumping. (Drop percentage is referring to the whole pot how many BTX is still unclaimed.)

Please consider doing something like this!

I gotta Agree.

The uncertainty about how this final drop will work keeps me from increasing my current position. If all coins are distributed at once the massive dump that will follow will likely drive prices down to underneath $1.
