41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we lost the purpose of the movement? on: March 07, 2018, 08:36:51 PM
I would love to see a truly functional currency, I could care less about the profits. I already have been using BTC since the very first day of which I purchased it and will continue to use BTC until it has no economical value. It is my aim that this could be my whole lifetime but I will settle for the next 50 years Wink.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only one coin is going UP today on TOP100 Coinmarketcap on: March 07, 2018, 08:32:53 PM
Arbitrary probably, either that or the WaltonChain people haven't realized there was a dump and will dump tomorrow. Oh and it could be because of the giveaway disaster, as Walton still seems to be reeling from that.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The actual senses about bitcoin for common people ? on: March 07, 2018, 08:28:25 PM
All people do not believe in the online digital currency now because of the lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency. But now as they know the crypto, the negative thoughts about it are still not lost
Pretty much this! We don't like getting involved with things we don't know and the quicker we can break that barrier down the quicker people can get involved here. Also the more you know, the easier it is to be a strong hand. Why do you the market corrects hard after a euphoric pump? Some of it is natural of course, but some of it is noob panicking>comes from not knowing about crypto. If they learned about crypto>less noob panicking>less markets correcting or crashing. Knowledge is power, believe that!
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Addiction? on: March 07, 2018, 08:23:42 PM
Being adicted in butcoin or any other crypto currency not mean you are a doing bad things already. Even me i admit myself that bitcoin is like a game that addicted people to do and learn more in bitcoin world.
maybe we could analyze why people being addicted in crypto.especially for me , my reward from joining several bounty campaign make me addicted.and i dont want to stop it.so the point is getting money from this world that make people enjoy bitcoin  and crypto currency.
I think it is more than the money because for campaigns the money is pretty small and if you are a successful millionaire trader you don't want to stop. So I ask myself if not the money, what keeps people coming back? And I think it is rooted in a combination between gambling and ego. Maybe we want to prove to ourselves we are the best trader there ever was, or that if I made a mistake once I won't make that same mistake again. I know for me, it isn't about the money it is something else. Having troubles pinpointing exactly what that something is  Undecided.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: March 06, 2018, 07:36:52 PM
Quote
“It is evident that the most successful individuals are also the luckiest ones,” they say. “And the less successful individuals are also the unluckiest ones.”

This is true, but only to an extent. For example there are individuals who have become rich by robbing their own people while holding positions of ministers, lawmakers and other governmental officials. Almost all of them are very rich although they are definitely not very talented. But can we call them "the luckiest ones"? I don't think so. Can you imagine saying "He was so lucky to have the opportunity to lay his hands on the money instead of transfering it to children's hospital!"?
IMO a great percentage of the richest people in the world are either the ones I described or their genetic relatives, and unfortunately the study doesn't cover this at all.
While that is true how do you ascend to those types of positions? Sure there is some luck involved in getting into the right university, or having the right family member be a part of a certain social circle, but at the end of the day you need smarts and credentials. And let me tell you as somebody who is somewhat smart and could get a university degree (completed 2 full years 3.0 GPA) I couldn't stand a minute of it. Putting in that effort and time for 4 years+ is extremely difficult and the people who do that, deserve a chance at better money imo. Everything in life has some degree of luck though, and everyone singular action in life has some risk, you just gotta make do with what is in front of you and hope for the best.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Viber Is Going to Launch Its Own Cryptocurrency! on: March 06, 2018, 07:30:38 PM
The Rakuten token is really nice to hear, especially as they mention that the tokens will be unlimited. I hope they could release and advertise it more than telegram's coin for exposure. I myself would like also to see the development of their coin once it's out, and hopefully read the whitepaper of their coin.
First of all how did Telegram manage to get 3.8 Billion already I thought that number was just 1 Billion the other day? But more importantly this plan has got to be even worse, the unlimited coin aspect should deter anybody alone. That means inflation is uncapped, I don't know about you but that is why I exited the fiat game!
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eBTC will worth $10 this month on: March 06, 2018, 07:26:14 PM
Probably this airdrop will be one of the best airdrops in last time. But i do not think so it will achieve 10 dollars. But i will be watching this and i wish you it will be happen
There is also a few other good airdrops out there. As far as I know Bitcore, Bitsend, Byteball, and DeepOnion were all doing drops although I know Byteball has recently halted their program for the time being. eBTC is another quality airdrop from nothing, but it is extremely tough to get involved in free drops from what I have read.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins came in Big Bang Theory. on: March 06, 2018, 07:20:01 PM
Big Bang theory is a world wide watched show and needs no introduction, a while back they featured a show in which they talked about bitcoins, not only did they explain it, they even played real life scenarios of so many people who mined early on but forgot or lost them.

We often speak about getting this on television, theatres and boys and girls we have made the big jump, as and when people will see bitcoins shall get more and more publicity.

What do you'll think will this show help bitcoins grow? My view yes I'm bullish on this.

Those people who watch that show are already investing in bitcoins in my opinion. How much was it covered ? Did they stressed on the returns being given for bitcoins ? It can bring more women investors to bitcoins for sure as the TV series has got good number of female viewership.

By the way, it is one of my favorite shows and now that you have made me aware that the current season has started or is running, I will certainly wtahc future episodes. Can you also tell episode number in which bitcoin was mentioned ?
It is season 11 episode 9 and what I really enjoyed about it was that they didn't paint the industry as a bunch of drug dealers, pedo, and illegal terrorists. That was a bonus and I won't ruin the episode for you but they did a good job on showing how security is paramount too. Well done episode for sure, my outlook for people watching that show would be bullish as well. If not at the very least they will look into Bitcoin (which will in turn peak interest to invest and learn about Bitcoin more=win win Grin).
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lending Platform - Is this sustainable rates? on: February 28, 2018, 05:43:36 PM
Are you seriously asking or are you shilling?
Lending platforms are pyramid ponzi schemes.
They just are.  It is the nature of the business.
Not true imo, there can be legitimate ones but they are few out there. If the coin or token offers "guaranteed returns" then yes it is a ponzi scheme but a lending platform such as SALT that secures crypto against fiat, is a whole different story. Lets not lump them all into one category now, because people may think SALT is a ponzi when it is in fact not.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Failed Experiment? on: February 28, 2018, 05:35:51 PM
How could you even suggest this when the "experiment" itself isn't over? While I agree with you no system is perfect, this seems to be the best system we have had ever in the history of mankind. You need to trust the laws of math and that is all that needs to be done. Also, I don't look at things that effect the whole world as an "experiment". These are systems put into place in order to better peoples lives, we surely aren't taking some random stabs at it and hoping it is correct. We do it with the intent it is correct, and if it isn't we will find out soon enough.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for Teenagers on: February 28, 2018, 05:21:41 PM
The only reservation I would have about teenagers into the market is their knowledge of finance. As long as they play it safe and protect themselves then I could care less how old the individual is. Hell a 11 year old just finishing writing a book about Bitcoin, so there are no limitations in this space. Lastly, it warms my heart to know that the younger generation sees the power behind the tech and is willing to adopt it for that reason. Because you know these kids don't have tons of money, and that should make people think twice about the character of humanity! We are good, and good will prevail!
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank of China (Taiwan) Promises to Implement the Blockchain! on: February 28, 2018, 05:16:37 PM
Doesn't mean much, all it says is that they will pay attention. It doesn't mean they will implement, nor does it say it will try and implement for the betterment of the people. They will look into it for sure but that is because it is cutting edge tech that could help the banking system or their corrupt system even further. I doubt they look into it to help the people of China and Taiwan, although one can pray that is what they are looking at it for.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: February 26, 2018, 07:05:56 PM
I would have been if I had expected to come in and own the markets with my awesome smarts and prior knowledge *says sarcastically*. No of course I am not disappointed it was always going to have a learning curve, and you were never going to be an expert in the beginning. However, though if in a couple of years I don't do much better than I am now, I will be disappointed and I will probably stop trading. That is also of course if the bots don't take over before that.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: February 26, 2018, 06:58:18 PM
Nobody knows but as long as projects launch and are about having community then inclusion should be ever present. Granted the industry could evolve and the method of doing things could change, that is why you should view everyday as your last as a bounty hunter and count your stars you ever had the chance!
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC atm on: February 26, 2018, 06:51:27 PM
I go back and forth between which I believe is more correct and I have always felt we were going to consolidate for a couple of months before making any new moonshots or ATHs. I will concede that I am biased and have a hard time imagining Bitcoin going down (other than euphoric peaks).
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bye bye to poloniex as we know it on: February 26, 2018, 06:46:23 PM
The old Poloniex is gone, but me thinks this is a change for the better. Hard to imagine things getting worse from here, but I will hold off my reservations until I see something big implemented one way or another.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what’s the point of buying in ICOs if you could buy them cheaper on the Exchange on: February 26, 2018, 06:43:09 PM
Not only have I experienced that and felt the same way, it is the reason I don't want to get involved in an ICO anymore. Sure there may be an outlier which you get lucky on, but majority of ICOs dip below and knowing that you can either scoop them on exchange cheaper, or never bother to begin with. (I prefer the latter now but if you really like it go with the former).
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Time is money, how you manage your money and time ? on: February 26, 2018, 06:38:16 PM
Currently I wake up and take care of all my work before 5pm and then 5pm onward is time to relax. Previously I would find there isn't enough time in a day but now I have a weird problem of trying to fill time in my day. Looking forward to the day when I cashout some BTC funds and am able to use the fruits of my labor to enjoy and relax Smiley.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: February 26, 2018, 06:31:32 PM
Because Bitcoin will bring the world together and knock down the geo political borders that currently exist. Couple that with the humbling of the banking industry, those are two reasons enough to get involved in Bitcoin.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit, or The Lightning Network? on: February 23, 2018, 12:38:23 AM
Do we have to pick between either of them? I think they are both fabulous and I can't wait for when we get more upgrades like mimblewimble and rootstock. Fwiw the reason the biggest exchanges are going slow is because if they integrate too quick or incorrect they risk losing the confidence of a lot of investors and we don't want that. Also their systems are probably more vast and complicated than your average website meaning it will take more time naturally.
