42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What aims have you lost your funds so far in crypto? on: February 06, 2019, 12:54:52 PM
Back in 2017 I believe we have lots and lots of millionaires and billionaires in the crypto atmosphere, now back in 2018 we really have a terrible happenings like for e.g the drop down of bitcoin, ICO no longer paying up, funds get missing either on Exhcangers site or investment. I believe we have lots of encounters in lost of funds

Now what is your own side you ever lost your funds?
I joined in crypto last august 2017 and i start joining airdrops and social campaign after a month im ablevto accumulate morethan 1000$ and im very happy because imvable to earn just by joining airdrops but when 2018 comes all my earnings are starting to decrease in value and as of this date my portfolio is already -80% and bounty campaigns are not paying or if they do it is still noy listrd in the  market. But im confident market may recover. And i also shell out some of my savings to buy bitcoin for future bullrun.
43  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Filipino crypto users on: February 05, 2019, 08:21:29 PM

At madali lng mag pa rank up noon. Di tulad ngayonmahirap na dahil merit system.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Cosby buys 750 BTC on: February 04, 2019, 12:04:45 PM
Reportedly Hollywood actor Bill Cosby has recently bought 750 BTC (around 5 $million at the time of the purchase) when he was advised to do so by his financial advisor, in an attempt to save some of his wealth from what's coming to him after all the rape accusations.

Im not sure if he is a rapist or not because I haven't looked at the evidence, but like or not, this is a clear use case of Bitcoin. His net worth is like half a billion USD, so I guess this is like a plan Z to keep 5 million which would be enough to live without working in case things go very bad for him.

I found this interesting nonetheless and worth mentioning here. Full news:

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/bill-cosby-buys-750-bitcoin-btc-worth-5-million-to-save-500m-fortune-from-wife/
If he bought 750 bitcoin for 5m$ that would cost 6,667$ each and with the current price of bitcoin maybe hie financial advisor has lot of things ti explain to him since he is currently losing almost -45% of his investment enough to pay legal attorneys to detend his case. Neverteless i hope he understand the longterm goal of his invesent so his financial advisor would not find difficult to explain.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: February 03, 2019, 09:21:42 AM
I invested and joined as bounty hunter in many ICO which has good concept, experienced team members and also good hype but after listing price drops very much. Some of project also not recovering since long time. Any comment.
Prices drops when ico listed in exchange because majority of bounty hunters sold their coins immediately even for much lower price and its the main reason why coins price are dropping significantly.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin on: February 03, 2019, 06:35:23 AM
Since I got more knowledge about Bitcoin and Crypto and all that Blockchain stuff I am thinking about it's future. I'm sure, that those crypto/Blockchain Coins will be part of the Future and that maybe they will replace Fiat. But at some points I'm thinking that the Coins which will lead the future won't be the Bitcoin. The Bitcoin is the native Coin, and the most important at the moment. But in some Points I don't see the Future in Bitcoin.

1. During the Hype the transactions costs where at 10$, who wants to pay 10$ if he want to buy a coffee in the coffee shop around the corner. Furthermore the confirmation of those transactions were very slow. It took too much time for daily usage. Sure, Lightning should solve the problem, and all ppl which are involved in it are saying what a nice technic and that it will be the Future. But the not technic customer has no idea how to use it.

2. In my opinion POW-Systems are also not sustainable for the future. In a world where sustainability and environmental friendliness gets more important, POW is a waste of energy. And, it's not even profitable anymore.

3. Decentralization, the best argument for Bitcoin is the decentralization. But it can also be used against the Bitcoin. Because it isn't as decentralized as it should. 5 Pools would have more than 51% of the total hash rate. It sounds not real, that they would do a 51% attack on BTC, but nobody says that it won't happen in the future.

All those are points against the Bitcoin, but I would like to know what you think about.
I do agree as bitcoin price increasing its transaction fee krep increasing also and it should be a burden to the user to pay 10-20$ everytime it execute a successful transaction. In my own opinion xrp would be a good alternative crypto coin though its not decentralized its transaction speed is really fast and transaction fee is very low.
47  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 01, 2019, 08:16:41 PM

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of waiting? on: January 31, 2019, 05:51:06 PM
If the bear market stays longer than expected will you take your leave and forget cryptocurrency ever existed? But the marketcap is getting larger and larger is that not enough to change your minds and stay?
If it take1 or 2 years or even more for this bear market to stay in crypto i would not hesitate to keep holding amd accumulate if i have some extra money this bearish market is a good opportunity to buy since prices of crypto coins are very low.i am confident that bull market may come soon just keep your patience  intact.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss Trading on: January 31, 2019, 12:54:37 PM
Hey everyone.  Do any of you professional traders out there have advice on the best situations to use stop-loss in a trade?  It would be much appreciated.

ricseb
Experienced trader often use stop loss to ensure they would not lossing huge amount of their investment but for newbie cutloss is not that so advisable in my own opinion as you may be fomo when market sligjtly recover. You need to now basic charting and trading signals so you may know when to cutloss and not being FOMO..
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do we still have hope to be able to see bull run?? on: January 31, 2019, 12:51:19 PM
now the market falls again, do we still have hope to be able to see bull run. no one knows when the market can recover. even with the many good news about the ethereum hardfork unable to make the market jump. so I thought bull run would only be a dream for all of us.
What comes down must comes up. I believe there is no forever bearish season this scenario waa happen several years before but still crypto market recovers. Only patience need here if you are willing to wait it should be paid off in the right time. But if you have no patience then you will end up losing.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: January 31, 2019, 02:44:22 AM
You can try to avoid mistakes, but never be afraid of making one and neither should you be afraid of failure.
The fear of what will happen might be a limitation.
Cryptocurrency sometimes can be very complex and funny, most especially when you find yourself in a situation you have never been exposed to.
When the market is all good, mistakes are not easily detected, but when the situation of the market seems to be on a negative side, then fear sets in and sometimes, we become afraid of what may likely happen if we take a step further, to do what we have never been exposed to.
Even if you eventually fail, it is a stepping stone to become become better and achieving greater success.
I agree mistake is the great teacher it can help you to become a good person by helping you avoid same mistake when you encounter the same situation.
53  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makaka ahon pa ba ang market? on: January 30, 2019, 05:50:59 PM
Ang magandang gawin habang mababa try to accumulate pag may extra money at keep it there until the market recover. Pinipiga lng nila ng husto ang market para mapipitan mag sell out ang mga newbie
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Without Using Indicators on: January 28, 2019, 11:52:15 AM

You need to do it by yourself  personally and apply what have you learned from the books and at the end of the day your day to day experienced will help you mold to become an expert trader.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I buy bitcoin or litecoin? on: January 27, 2019, 08:16:24 AM
Based on what is currently happening what do you think I'm better doing, I have about $150 to spend

Buying bitcoin or litecoin?

Thanks
Bitcoin is the most dominated crypto currency and better to buy 60% of your portfolio and 40% for ltc so that if both coins goes up you have both and much better to buy more than 1 coins to diversify your porrfolio.
56  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nabiktima ka na ba ng salitang HOLD!?? on: January 27, 2019, 05:21:40 AM

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ICO's a good option? on: January 27, 2019, 05:16:53 AM
is it a good idea to invest in ICO's and what do you think is a good deciding factor to pick what ICO's to invest in?
Now a days, planning to invest in an ico is not a good choice in my personal opinion. But factor to be considered if you are planning to invest are people behind the project, services it may offer to public and s capacity to compete to other coins which offer same services.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: January 25, 2019, 02:26:34 PM
Regulation should be a good stepscfor government to monitor and protect investors from scammer and criminals andvthis is also a way for the government to get tax from crypto trading which i think is fair to any government. Much better if ico is regulated as there are lot of scam coins offering ico everyday and many people are still victimized.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ready to Jump in Crypto. Again! (Looking for Advise) on: January 25, 2019, 02:14:05 PM
If i where you i would buy bitcoin, xrp and eth and let it keep  for  long term until bull run  replaces this bearish market. With the current price of bitcoin and other altcoins i think the risk is lesser than the chance of esrning profit for long term. You just need to be patient.
