41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: These will be the best months of your crypto career late comers on: June 01, 2019, 11:39:38 AM
OP's mentality is fed by youtubers and social media publications that have little interest about the technology. It is all about about price, lambos, shilling shitcoins and promoting scams. Not a single one of these influencers can create a better image for Bitcoin.

Hello, I'm posting in bitcointalk since 2017 but most were in altcoin section and didn't bother much with merit all this time. I have posted in a few threads you might find interesting which I don't think are rubbish. I deleted a lot of my posts mostly because of controversies, but I won't delete for this reason again.
These are from the last few days, take a look when you have the time:

43  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 10,000 $ Scam, please advise. on: May 30, 2019, 01:57:07 PM
I worked all my life very hard to earn money, decided to quit the job and be financially free.
I got into crypto to make money. I followed some of the great youtube channels to learn all great information.
one night i went out, watched a movie in theatre and came back home. It was around 1 am, i got a youtube notification from youtube channel i was following, i was reading the comments of the video where a scammer posted a comment saying, there is a free crypto giveaway happening right now from one of the biggest crypto companies, go and participate as soon as possible as it is closing in a hour. The scammer used the exact profile picture of the youtube channel content creator i love to watch, and the channel name is also the same. so, i thought this guy was providing valuable information to get great benefits. The scammer left a comment to go and make use of the opportunity right now, and the same scammer used different accounts to reply to that comment saying thank you it helped a lot, there was a link he posted. I went to that site and it asked me to donate the crypto first as a process of verification, and they will use the same sender details to send the crypto back, what they offered was 1:10 gains, i sent all my crypto expecting 10x returns, waited an hour, two hours, three hours but i didn't get my crypto back.
i started to get really worried and went back to the channel to see the comment again but i noticed it was deleted, i was shocked.
I realised this seems very fishy, i contacted the actual youtube content creator that i sent my crypto as per the post and i am still waiting,
He responded saying that it was a scammer who posted the comment using his name and profile picture with all positive comments, i couldn't believe it first, i cried all night, felt ashamed, hated myself, didn't share with anyone because people around me will defintely make fun of me, ever since i really can't trust anyone while talking directly or internet, ALL i Did was TRUSTING SOMEONE which bought me to this situation.
I thought i will be financially free but now i am in huge loss and i had suicide thoughts, I hate to live in this world.
WHY humans are so dangerous, i still cant understand, I live alone now don't feel like talking to friends or family. I hated God for bringing me to earth to be around such scammers, sorry for my long post, I wish i had not watched that youtube video that night.

If anyone can provide help on this, I would be happy to help you with some money or crypto.

Name of the scam website: http://eth-now.com

My transaction details proof: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xa18333c22e45ac91179e217d8977119bd1055e3bd490fa9c6178580d6b4eaa1f

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xccf26f0abbbbcfdb1f081f089d0a47baf495c4ceea9818454686e50c13bc2132

This is the proof that i have sent 32 ethereum to that address in the link https://eth-now.com/

I read your post and I felt bad as I hate these scams and I'm always trying to expose them. Still don't give up hope and don't feel guilty about it.

Every single person has been scammed at least once in his life in some way. Most will try to hide it if possible, thinking they can reduce the damage or the ridicule. You did the right thing creating awareness on this scam after the financial loss you have suffered.

There are various scams that can actually find someone in a weak moment. Trust me everyone has moments like these. Just go outside and run for a few miles. See the world and the people and don't get desperate. You will notice good people out there. I think you still might be young so you should be able to find a job really soon and in notime you will get there again. The easiest money I've made was from my day job. I made from trading but I lost my sleep. I made from gambling but I almost lost my sanity. Realize that there is no actual easy money.
Keep working and don't listen too much to youtubers as they are starting to annoy me once again with their opportunistic mentality. Still you can't blame them for these scams.

This is the only help I can provide. You probably can't recover this amount. The only one you could contact is your local police station and they will guide you through some standard procedure of pressing charges.

If anyone can provide help on this, I would be happy to help you with some money or crypto.

Please be careful as scammers might try to con you again so it is better not to make offers like this on the internet.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Avdvice needed on: May 30, 2019, 08:07:47 AM
I am planning to start a bet with 100 usd and will keep playing them all with the multiplier of 1.05 or lower than that.

Lets say i play 1.05 multiplier for 120 times so the total odds will be 1.05^120 =348.911
Now with my initial bet of 100 usd it will become : 34891 usd.

Is this bet strategy good and can i achieve this.
I know there are lots of expert gamblers here so i wanna take advice of all of them. Kindly guide me.

Tennis: I will bet like: When the player has already won a set and he has just break the opponent in second set and is about to GSM.
Football: There is score of 2-0 or 3-1 and now last 10 minutes are remaining.
Cricket: The required Run rate is 15 plus and no suitable batsman is left to bat now , or the target is too far to win.

Advice please.

You are trying to minimize risk but this isn't the edge you are looking for.I seriously wish you success, but still you will be too lucky if this happens.

My advise is, set up a decent bankroll, manage it properly by risking only 2 to 5% per bet, and make it a long term betting, then after evaluate your result.

This is the best strategy to follow in gambling along with trying to find an statistical edge not covered by the bookies. Research bankroll management. Otherwise you are dead meat and can only hope for winning the lottery.

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Best Ethereum Wallets online in 2019 on: May 28, 2019, 03:54:45 PM
1) Myetherwallet, although they changed the page a bit so you have to bookmark the one that says vintage. It is the best way to secure your Ethereum and ERC20 tokens.
2) Metamask although it needs a few changes to be better and safer. Still it does the job quite well.
3) Enjin wallet. I use this as a mobile wallet. Can't find any better yet.

Be really careful with wallets that people post here as some might be frudulent or easily compromised.
Also always remember not to sent/post your private key accidentaly instead of your public key. Many newbies have done this mistake and they had their accounts emptied.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consider the recent rise it is now more important then ever keep the coin secure on: May 28, 2019, 01:50:36 PM
Don't need to trust anyone, especially any financial institution close to the banking sector, as this is built as a trustless environment.
I trust only the tech after carefully examining it. You are safe, without the need for a middle man, with Bitcoin.

My imagination is beyond the moon =D

btw, this is one of those coins that hasn't dropped it's value much (against BTC) which is great. And when you check development - they have updates like... now. 27 seconds ago... And those are not some BS updates "removed dot from the end of the sentence".

Indeed, I've been following Decentraland since 2017 and have to agree this is a serious project with a great product. Also from what I'm reading we will have good news soon.
It seems like you really are familiar with this project because you already knew this project two years ago so if you can know what a great product is? And hopefully what you say is true so we just wait for the good news

I never said I'm familiar. I wrote that "I've been following". Interesting how you changed a word to make an argument here.
I own a few Mana but I don't own land in the platform to be exact. I'm just saying I read often about Decentraland from social media sources as telegram and discord where team is really active. There is no certain date yet for platform to go live, so I can't post exact information or rumours without any verification. I'm giving a hint and you should dyor. There are people and institutions that actually invested a lot in this project. Even last week there was a piece of land (64 parcels) sold for $81k. I'm also posting here quite often as I'm genuinly interested in this project. I participated in the builder testing and got rewarded for it too. So this is my involvement with this project. How about you bounty hunter?
49  Other / Off-topic / Re: Come on people, start giving out your merit! on: May 27, 2019, 06:42:34 PM
Aloha,

Please start giving out your merit like the title says.

Mahalo nui loa,

dumplingsandsushi

It seems they prefer making new accounts and meriting them to abuse bounties. I've seen accounts completely unrelated with bitcoin with 100 merit only made for bounties. Obviously sold alts. Meanwhile after 3 years in btt, I've seen and wrote a lot of helpful comments that deserve merits and got none.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] COBINHOOD - ZERO Trading Fee Cryptocurrency Exchange on: May 27, 2019, 02:55:06 PM
COB is dead , and Cobinhood are scamed , no volume trading , no liquidity ! SCAMMM

If they are still open and trading then most probably is not a scam but it is cobinhood's fault to not bring liquidity to the exchange. They must incentivize market makers to come to cobinhood. As we can see they don't have many coins trading there but the exchange has a nice UI. I have noticed that their orders books look buggy or is it just me? Can anyone tell me where can I find the whitepaper so I can see what are their tokenomics?
This exchange site lack of promotion and the UI doesn't seem good for me personally. The main point that prevents this exchange site to growth the developer was strictly apply KYC for the new users and remember those major exchange sites are putting a better requirement to trade and there was a limited amount for those are not verifying their accounts. that should be the main reason why this exchange site still doesn't grow a lot.
Even the dev has already removed it but it doesn't work.

Have they removed the KYC obligation for new users? Are you saying that did not the trick or what? Most exchanges don't ask for KYC to trade and they let users withdraw like 2 btc per day just like Binance.

You can withdraw up to 3 BTC per day as shown below, and more If you decide to verify your identity.

For me, the reason why they don't have many users is because of the supported coins. They should start adding new coins (ones that finish ICOs) instead of listing old ones, that way they know they'll gain a new userbase each time, whom will probably stay If the exchange is half decent.

I was thinking the same thing and agree that they have very few supported coins. They should list the most popular coins and altcoins that have huge demand from the community.

I don't quite agree with this approach. There are already thousands of exchanges and not many real people trading or wanting to buy a coin.
If they start listing new ICO's like exchanges as Latoken do, then it would look like a scam for certain. Still Cobinhood doesn't look secure to me. It is a site that takes it's time to load after loging in and when I see this on an exchange it feels that they didn't do proper work on their site.

53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefits of asking questions as a newbie on: May 24, 2019, 05:42:38 PM
You can add one more point:

Before asking any questions, people have to learn the usage of search button on this forum this might help the member without waiting for someone to post on the new thread and also reduce the spam comment on the new threads.

Then don't forget to lock the threads if you find the answers from the comments.
This is very correct this will help to avoid double thread which lead to spamming, as a newbie your first task is to learn and in doing that the first stage is to search for the informations you need when you can not fine them you then may ask on the forum for other members to help you with the answers.

I've always had problems with the search function so I rarely use it. Most times it takes too long to load and sometimes it doesn't provide results. I understand the database must be huge but there are ways to make this faster. I have problems finding out if I got any replies too. Is there a way to know if someone quoted me without looking back to every post I made?
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 24, 2019, 05:21:33 PM
Hey

I just wanted to share this study proving something reaaaaaaally horrible. In horrible socialist countries like France... Poor people actually have the same care than the rich.

https://www.nber.org/papers/w24623.pdf

Joke aside, health is a major proof that free market is just market controled by money. Nothing else.

Do you want a society where health is dependant on your wealth?

There is a persistent lie spread saying that nationalizing a market is making it inneficient and stupidly buraucratic.

Well sorry to say but difference between a nationalized market and a free but regulated market is, for health, 50% more costly for USA and extremely inequal system.

Socialism is horrible right?

In capitalism health care has quality and is available for everyone as long as the rich pay their taxes. Although, especially in the last decade, they found many ways to avoid taxes (like fake donations) creating implications for the quality of health care system as well as the whole public sector as well.
So the top of the pyramid keeps multiplying their wealth while the common folks, every working person, every employee can't possibly hide their income and is obligated to pay. This is the system and it also has even worse implementations depending on which country you live and how the people reacted. It is a fact that rich people get better health care as well as having access to better education, living standards and job prospects. It is also a fact that socialism has all these problems solved from day one. What they kept telling my people in my country was that this is the system we have and it works. They kept saying it until it stopped working. I have studied economics and understand both systems. There are errors in both, but the errors of globalized capitalism under the pretext of "freedom" is the worst possible system for any society and what it is promising is only a dystopian future.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are bounty hunters guilty? on: May 24, 2019, 11:51:55 AM
Price is always all about supply and demand since the first exchange of goods happened. When you have knowledge of this simple microeconomic principle thoroughly explained by Adam Smith in the 18th century, then everything becomes clear. Now in every equation there are variables. What you have to focus on are these variables. For example you do know that bounty hunters will obviously dump massively not caring about trading, candles or waiting to sell at a higher price. I myself sold for ETH and BTC almost all coins I earned from bounties and I was right about it 99% of the times.
Why was that? Basically because there was no actual demand for these coins (I'm talking about hundreds). I did trading and doubled and trippled up a few of these tokens and then dumped them again, trying to double my profit, when it was obvious that the teams behind stopped supporting the price. So when the only factor that supports the price is the project itself or the exchange bots, then the volume is weak, the demand is weak and price will most certainly dive to zero.

Most ICO's, once listed, they did a few pump and dumps. All were manipulated by the teams and by the exchanges to catch a few dollars from the remaining traders. You have to realize how this works. The price can't grow in long term, unless there is real demand by investors. 2017 canot be repeated this year. In 2017 people made 20x of their initial investment and were able to extend into investing in ICO's and other obscure projects that were obvious scams. In 2018 I doubt there was even one decent project that listed on an exchange and actually had demand and price growth.

A variable into the equation is the exchanges the projects want to get listed and the passion/commitement of the developers. Once you see a project trying hard to get listed at Latoken (no offence but it is a small exchange right now) you know there won't be demand for it and price will stabilize at 1-2% of the ICO price. Now there was a project (Vanta) that was trying to get listed in Upbit exchange (a respectable Korean exchange). This one although I sold my tokens I'll be probably buying in again as the team is commited and supportive of the project and don't care about short term price fluctuations.

So these are the main factors to consider about price and not blame the bounty hunters for actually getting paid for the work they did. Bounty hunters are not traders. It is a job for them and remember that most of the times they don't even get paid for it.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: May 24, 2019, 10:50:08 AM
because bitcoin prices dropped as a result no new rich people arrived suddenly. . . on the contrary, many people go bankrupt because they suffer losses ... haha haahaa

I don't quite understand what is the laughter about. Your comment belongs in the past. Markets have circles, prices go up and down.So unless you think Bitcoin is a scam or a ponzie with no product or value, you should realize the potential in it. Price fluctuates as people are greedy and it is hard to regulate a universal market like this. People went bankrupt because they probably went all-in the wrong time without proper risk management. I'm suggesting anyone that thinks he went bankrupt not to write-off cryptocurrency investements.
If you want to learn about Bitcoin price, I suggest you watch the video bellow:

57  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what do you make out of Binance hack on: May 23, 2019, 01:44:06 PM
I think you all should consider what would happen if the hack was 10x of what happened. You all suck up CZ and Binance and have huge amounts parked there thinking they got you covered? It was a 40million hack and what happened was CZ panicking and asking Jihan Wu if rolling back the chain is an option. Can you imagine what would have happened if the hack was 70,000BTC (400m$) instead of 7,000BTC? Do you seriously think you funds are safu there and that they acted professionally? Then they took it to twitter and unleashed a thousand bot accounts with copy-paste tweets. This was hillarious. I instantly withdraw BTC and ETH the moment they let me, which was 2 weeks later. If you trust any exchange you basically risk losing it all.
58  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trade war China and US on: May 23, 2019, 01:26:54 PM
I really think this trade war going on is an opportunity for us all who believe in a decentralized world, can start promoting blockchain technology. And I mean talking about it everywhere. News, e-magazines, etc. Blockchain  can solve all of those problems. All it needs is recognition.

jes these trade wars are a huge opportunity, but why should the people switch their national banking cartels for a corrupt network of cryptocurrency indexes?
What do you mean by corrupt network? Decentralization cannot be corrupted.

I think he means the price manipulation occuring with fake volumes from exchanges, tether printing etc. There are exchanges posting billions in trading volume, while the actual trades happening are only thousands of dollars. Senting money from your right pocket to your left isn't trading. Also volume is a solid indicator for a possible pump in price. So this indicator being manipulated by exchanges or whales is significant and makes traders life difficult. Still your point wasn't that at all. I completely agree that the only blockchain that is quite decentralized is Bitcoin and should be the model for worldwide trading. Although because of the fact that all transactions are on a public ledger and are traced by organizations, especially the large ones, I'm not certain if such trade blockades can be bypassed this way or they make things worse.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin computational power and problem solving on: May 23, 2019, 11:47:29 AM
In my understanding (forgive me if i'm wrong) Bitcoin uses hash power to create SHA-256 algorithms thus creating more Bitcoins.
What bothers me from an economic perspective, is that we have right now 55 million tera-hash of computing power that are used to solve mathematic equations that are basically not used for anything else besides mining Bitcoin. Miners secure the network and create new bitcoins. In order to achieve this they solve a mathematical problem and chain together blocks of transactions. The problem here is that this mathematical problem is of no use for anything else. It is just a process added into the system in order to help with mining, making it just a timer more or less.

My first thought when I started reading about Bitcoin a few years ago was that these equations were used by some institution for a greater scientific cause. I felt a little disappointed this didn't happen. Recently after talking with my colleagues about bitcoin and trying to explain how it was produced by miners using mining equipment like Antminers that consume electricity etc.. , most of them had the same question:
So these computations Bitcoin network is making are used by some university or government institution to help with solving some difficult problem or equation?

I think everyone of us had the same question. Even before Bitcoin was launched I remember SETI project had an app that could use your computer's idle power to provide results for their project. Other scientific projects have same apps as they are in need of running extremely difficult algorithms that demand computing power of a supercomputer, making this costly and also time and space consuming.

So my thought is that there has to be a way for Bitcoin algorithms to change and be of help for science sectors that demand a huge amount of processing power. This would actually be a second major breakthrough for Bitcoin as besides from solving the digital money problem, it could actually be used (in the form of renting it's network perhaps) for science projects that otherwise are stalled and left behind for decades. Space exploration, health sciences, physics, all sciences are in need of processing data faster than what they can do today, in order for humanity to progress further. It's just a thought but I still feel like we are missing out on a huge opportunity to prove that Bitcoin can become something more than a means of transactions, something that can affect every aspect of our lives. Implications on price would be extreme if a usage like that is implemented, as it would become an enhancing quality of Bitcoin.

Now this might sound rubbish to some people (perhaps that's the reason I didn't write about this thought earlier), but still I know how a business is run in order to create value. I think this could add value and more qualities for Bitcoin.

Perhaps someone already mentioned something like this post in Bitcointalk, although after doing a quick search I didn't find any relevant posts.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto - Evidence Here on: May 21, 2019, 08:25:33 PM
In my opinion Craig Wright is 100% a liar. All the evidence he provided are falsified and not enough. Everything he says is completely contradictory to Satoshi's posts on this forum. If I'm wrong then Bitcoin is dead and also all current cryptocurrencies are, as noone wants to follow a person like him. Guy is screaming con-artist from 10 miles away. IF you wanna follow this person that's your head. If he proves he is Satoshi I'm quiting and I bet 99,99% of all these magnificent people on this forum will do the same. This person can only damage bitcoin and all crypto for his personal gain. He doesn't care about anything else except his own personal wealth and he uses any means legal or not to achieve it. His supporters are scammy too and should not be trusted.
