Hello BTCZ'ers

Sorry to bother you, but can you vote for our entry into a new exchange at: https://txbit.io/Coin

FYI, You also can vote with your smartphone as well.

I'm guessing they check IP addresses though.

So you can only vote from that IP once every 24 hours.

Thanks in Advance

EWBF,

I just noticed you have Group and World write permissions set on your miner file in Linux. (I.E. 777)

Is this what you want or need?

Most executables ship set with Group and World write permissions off (I.E 755).

Let me know either way please.

We have 7.2M coins released daily and the entire liquidity of buy orders is less than 1M coins so even if a few just mine-n-dump this coin could lose its market price.

I'm not sure you are aware of this but the highest BTC volume exchange currently has a buy order of 7.6 Million BTCZ at .00000008  (8 Sats) BTC each.

It has been there for the last few days that I know of.

Wasn't watching before then so I can't cite any facts about anything previous.

The thing that gets me though is BTCZ is averaging $150,000 USD daily volume for a few weeks now which works out to 259 Million BTCZ daily volume.

And the largest "Rich List" wallet has only increased by 40 million in the last 12 days.

So 259,000,000 x 12 days = 3.1 Billion but the largest wallet only gained 40 million?!?!

Maybe it is being traded in a controlled circle. Buy Why? Trades=fees! Someone has to pay the fees.

Word on the street is this large wallet is probably an exchange. So I don't know what to make of it all.

But it IS perplexing to me.

Ironically, as much as the original ideology of crypto was to have an answer to centralisation and manipulation of money supply by wall street banks, we are now left hoping that the SEC will recognise/authorise the asset class for big money to be able to buy into ETFs and save the day. Heh.

Be very careful what we wish for!

I am gravely concerned with Wall Street and Banks entering into crypto.

I think we are underestimating their potential for harm to crypto.

IMHO, We are experiencing a component of the effects from Bitcoin Futures starting trading on December 10 & 17, 2017

We can not stop them but we certainly can take steps to neutralize there affects before they get to strong a beachhead in this.

One of this is to DISALLOW ALL Futures/Option/Shorting/Leverage.

You either have full equity in the crypto or you can not trade it. PERIOD!

We as a community have to put a STOP TO THIS!

Buffet called derivatives as "weapons of mass destruction".

Well, I call ANY form of Leverage in crypto as Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Especially when Large Financial Corporations can use their Financial Strength to apply that leverage.

Remember, They are not here for "us".

If we allow this to continue, then our future will certainly be more bleak.

I think Thomas Jefferson had it right when he said:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies."

It is too late big money is in the game.   I know of 2.4 eh coming online which is  a killer since the companies  will have 4 cent power or less deals.  this is btc gear

2.4 eh is certainly a concern but at least they will have 100% equity in their production. Plus they will have a sizable "investment" in the equipment which will need to earn a return of profit/principle. Meaning they will have risk.

I am more concerned with a large financial institution throwing a few billion at a short futures "position" with like 3x to 10x leverage.

THAT is what I call a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

And THAT is what we as a community have to put a STOP TO!

If we force 100% equity in all trades/exchanges and no futures/options. And Yes even ETF's as they usually are able use cash in "lieu of" stock/crypto in the daily ETF generation process.

IF we want TRUE decentralization, we need to take steps to neutralize centralization of power.

Once they have it, they will NEVER give it back up and it'll be "Lights Out" for crypto as we now know it.

Crypto is a "Good Thing" that we all have nurtured.

Let's not allow centralization of any kind to get a beachhead on it.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: miniZ, a new fast and friendly Equihash <144,5> Cuda miner. on: July 29, 2018, 04:19:29 AM
Hi, Just thought you would like to know it does work with ZhashOS using Nvidia 384.111 driver.

Really like the UI report information. Sol rate was a little slower using the same O/C settings for EWBF.

I was seeing 35.5-36 Sol/s with 1070ti @ 104w, +240cc, +1290mc. I would normally see 36-42 Sol/s.

But I only ran it for a few minutes as it is late here.

I'll try to see if the app can allow a higher O/C bump tomorrow and let you know.

I think you are off to a really good start, but will need to get more optimization to be head on competitive.

Looking forward to your continued efforts!

Good day! Is it possible in your OS to use the algorithm Equihash 96_5? How can I do overclocking cards?

Yes EWBF can use 96_5 with modern Nvidia cards.

Please see the FAQ.pdf about overclocking.

I lock voltage so there's no point for me to use PL, 'cause it does almost the same thing (limits top voltage of your f/v curve but leaves it unstable on under limit levels). So I prefer voltage locking instead of PL.
At "144" mode average S/W of my GPUs are about 0.27~0.32. Not the best maybe, but electricity costs only 0.03$/kWh for me... almost doesn't matter.

Only one of all my GPUs get higher than 65 Celsius (lucky me! this summer leaves RIG room's temperature slightly below 35 Celsius — when all GPUs turned off).
My hottest ones (right now, at night, when every card is 3~4C cooler): 1070 HoF KFA2 (61C), 1070 ASUS Dual (60C) and 1070 ZOTAC Amp! edition(63C). But they all need just a thermal grease change I think.

P.S.
At first my mem was like +200 ... +400 (+600 on palit jetstream) and temps of all GPUs were much higher.

Wow! 0.03$/kWh! How did you manage that?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.4 on: July 27, 2018, 05:34:38 PM
Why everybody overclocking MEM on 144 one? It works with deafult equihash but it seems that "144" mode is MEM-independent...

My 1070th work at 2025MHz/950mV (some of them need 975mV, and 2 of 15 need above 1000mV) with -200 on memory and give about 36~38 each.
1070ti (bought one recently) with same settings gives 40~41.
1080s (not "ti") work at 2050MHz/1025mV (and -200 on MEM) give about 43~44 each.

Why overclock memory then?..

What is your power setting (watts/TDP) for those numbers?  Do you monitor Sols/W?

I have found at higher power settings, memory O/C has little affect on Sol/s.

However when you lower power settings, memory O/C then becomes somewhat more effective.

It is hot summer here so I am running @104 watts (58% TDP) to keep the GPU temps below 63c without running AC in the room.

I usually adjust power first, core second and then memory last.

ZhashOS users:

You can configure your sidebar to display GPU temps.

Hover the mouse pointer over the sidebar and right click then left click configuration then left click Builtin / Sensors / Temperatures and you should see the other GPU's.

Then click each enable checkbox.

You can also drag each line up or down into order of your preference.

I will post some pics of the sidebar display shortly

I have received a few reports EWBF 0.4 is working better on some GPU's and not as well on others.

If for some reason you are unhappy with EWBF 0.4, I did leave a previous copy of 0.3 on ZhashOS.

All you have to do is edit line 70 of Zhash.sh from "miner" to "miner0.3" then save and exit and then close the miner window and it will reload with 0.3 from then on.

Yes, this is a common problem, on the miner's side I will do everything possible to fix it.

Yea, this the error I'm getting as well. 2 crashes of this type in a day and a half (second one over night).

FWIW, I am not seeing this nor am I receiving any reports from my Linux users in ZhashOS using the cuda 8 binary.

So this might be a cuda 9.1 and/or windows issue.
