41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts are Bleeding What To Do? on: January 16, 2018, 07:48:21 PM
The worst thing you can do now is something. Leave the coins alone. It is a bear market and whoever is selling/at a loss will lose it all. It is a holding period and that is all that needs to be done. Newcomers need to know not to buy at ATH and then sell at the dip. The dips are a time to buy and that's what the smart people will do and make the gains once the market comes back up.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: January 16, 2018, 01:22:36 AM
ethereum for now is a ticket-for-icos only. Bitcoin will always stay at first place in cryptocurrency world.
I agree with this. It will be very hard to take over bitcoin. I think if the gv comes out with their own it might be able to because it will be more mainstream and FOMO about this whole space will happen. Ethereum is hyped and overbought because this ICO year. Everyone wants it at a low price because it averages the price of the ICO lower. But both ICO and ETH are off the charts so I don't know where it will go.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: January 11, 2018, 08:26:22 PM
This is the year of the ICO's. People are trying to make mad fast cash with it though. Hype for ICO is real. But be careful with scams and fake ICO. Be smart and do your research before you invest your money. Also, join some chats and see what others think about it too. It doesnt hurt to know other opinions.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: January 11, 2018, 08:24:20 PM
Can't believe how many have been how this year so far. I feel like I see ICO's everywhere now. It is safe but you have to do your research to know what you are doing. Look at the team and whitepaper. Also, I have seen people try to scam by creating another website and saying the pre-sale is not over after it finished. Always watch out for scams.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: January 08, 2018, 07:38:00 PM
Keeping other physical asset for your children is very easy but storing bitcoin for your children is very risky because the wallet may be hacked before your children grow to maturity so it needs a high level of security consciousness.
As for hacking. Just put it in a cold storage wallet. No one can hack it only steel it so also lock it up somewhere safe and where you will remember it. The problem for the price, many people believe in blockchain technology. I think it has a huge future ahead and doesn't think it will go away.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hey guy got a question about "pump" on: January 08, 2018, 07:35:47 PM
Pumps are just hyping a coin/pumping money into it to get the price up. Usually, with a pump come a dump which in turn then drops the price. I don't know what kind of group that is but be careful. There are a lot of scams. If you don't get out at the right time you are left with a coin that does don't go up and you will lose the value.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos? on: January 08, 2018, 07:26:35 PM
I would not store on an exchange unless you are trading or waiting to buy something. I hold everything in cold storage. It is the safest way to store all crypto. Exchanges are very vulnerable. It is a major target. Cold storage like nano leger is the best option for crypto. You can find it online.
48  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Bitcoin do to Banks what Email did to the Post office? on: January 08, 2018, 07:23:53 PM
This is really interesting. I did not think about it this way but I guess that is what its compared to. I think banks are rallying afraid of crypto in general. They know that a lot of people are using it and it is becoming more adopted and so people won't need banks to store their money anymore. Once crypto becomes more stable banks will start to fade.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Coins on: January 08, 2018, 07:19:30 PM
I have invested in deep onion and I love the community and software it has. Deep onion is a privacy coin which I believe most investors will want access to sooner or later. The community is great and it currently still has an airdrop you can participate in. It's a little pricey right now but long term it is good.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: January 08, 2018, 07:16:39 PM
All day. They invest in what makes money. Bitcoin is more of an asset now than an investment. They are invested in the gains and what properties it holds. I think it is used by billionaires even if they deny it. Eventually, everyone will come across it or use it. And that will happen faster than everyone thinks.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Likely to become a millionaire from altcoins? on: January 02, 2018, 06:51:36 PM
Alts that you can become a millionaire from are small supply, great team, good future vision and enough hype around it to get it going. I have seen many alts going up to crazy highs from all of these things. It is more than likey you can become a millionaire from alt, if you just know which to get into. The community is a big help and there are a lot of influential people who help others in the crypto world.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto hype and how to be ahead on: January 02, 2018, 06:49:01 PM
Best thing to do is just hold and but at dips. FOMO is a horrible thing. Also never have a stop loss. It is not really a loss until you sell. Crypto is unpredictable but if you invest in good teams with a future you'll be ahead of the game.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin that will be 2x-20x in 2018 have 2500$ to invest .:: on: January 02, 2018, 06:42:50 PM
Ripple is a good one if you HODL like 3-4 years. Other good ones, in my opinion, are ETHOS and Civic is very undervalued. But I would wait for a dip - red day. Then you could really get a good deal on it. DNT has been under $1. I think that is another thing to look at. But ETHOS is projected to be big this year alone. Check it out.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 will be the year of Altcoins exploding. on: January 02, 2018, 06:39:59 PM
I agree. The time to hodl was cheap only a couple months back. Now it's hard to get in the game without having the money to do so. Big gains are coming from alts that were in hodl mode. Now its all about the pump and ICO. A huge ICO wave is coming. Everyone is having FOMO and actually missing out on them because they are becoming so exclusive.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: January 02, 2018, 06:23:52 PM
Rumors with XRP hitting coin base is really what is keeping it up. I still think at a dip it's a good price. ETH is also a good buy. It had a good dip at around 750 and now is 900. The ETH fork is coming so a lot of people are pumping it because of that.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: January 02, 2018, 05:50:54 PM
Paper money has no future. It is here and we have it but I don't think it will be here for much longer. 'Paper' is tracked but online currency and transfers are more easily tracked which is why I believe the reason for moving in fewer paper transactions. Crypto is decentralized but the government will still find a way to get gains off of it too. It will become more centralized with time for sure.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favourite ongoing/upcoming ICOs on: December 27, 2017, 07:58:56 PM
My favorite upcoming ICO Neculus Vision. I am really excited to see how the project goes. A lot of hype is around this ICO. The whitelist was closed for this ICO so that means a lot of people who wanted it did not get in. Luckily I go in early so that is a good thing.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: December 27, 2017, 07:54:02 PM
The technology gains.. I mean I think a lot of newcomers are only getting into crypto for the money and that's where they kind of loose. If you don't invest in good companies with a clear vision then you probably won't know where it will go and possibly loose.
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what is the definition of success? on: December 27, 2017, 07:48:12 PM
The definition of success is what you make it. To some success is living a healthy happy life. They have all the necessities and are content. To others, it might be buying things and having the latest material things. Success varies on each person and what their goals are in life.
60  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: December 26, 2017, 09:05:32 PM
Honestly, I would go to college. The education you get is something that you can't get anywhere else. Even if you do not end up using your degree you earn the experience. I loved college. I also see a difference in those who went to college and those who did not and it is a huge one.
