41  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bridgewalker's new value proposition: an exchange rate adjusted Bitcoin wallet on: June 08, 2013, 10:23:43 AM
Very interesting idea, specially for people new to the currency that don't have a lot of coins and are very worried that any initial investment in bitcoin may result in a lost of value in the short term.
Now my questions as a "newbie": what is the money entry point? Do you need coins already in other wallet to be transferred to the application wallet? Is it possible to transfer fiat directly to the wallet in any way?

Kudos for putting an idea to test in the field so quickly Smiley

I'm also mining just for the fun of it with CPU+GPU not even at max. (around 2MH/s), it's not for the amount of bitcoins but I understand this helps secure and distribute the network by putting my little grain of sand, so the miner is my new background app on the PC like the clock but much more social Wink
did you ask your parents that you could waste their money?
I don't consider running the miner in the background while I use the computer a reasonable waste, I still turn off the computer when I go to sleep.

I joined 'cause I want to learn more about bitcoin and ask some questions about it. I'm also considering a way of contributing to the project besides spreading the word Smiley

There is a very interesting interview in a radio show with one of the guys of Ripple that may give some idea of how they try to explain the Ripple concept and the product they are selling.
