Did not know. That is worth the switch to SMF default. thanks

I read this saga and again I see proof of my theory that hosting servers in some Crackspace is insecure. I host my servers from my home. They are under my sole control, both the software and hardware. No need to trust someone else to be both competent in securing the server and not to snoop at my data or steal coins residing on server.
40k of BTC, if I was a techie in such datacenter I will steal the coins on first opportunity and quit working as a monkey for rest of my life. 40K of BTC is worth about 25 years of salary in my country. I could kill anybody for quarter of that.
Good to see you would destroy another individuals life for your own gain. do you have no morals or soul? Well until the recent hack and all the new information coming out I was on Bitcoinicas side and thought payouts were coming. I dont see that happening anymore. A lawsuit would be the best way to go now especially if you dont want to take a 30% cut in what you are owed. Does anyone have a VERY detailed timeline of events of what happened with Bitcoinica? One that goes as far back to the launch on Bitcoinica would be best.

Short-long term(~0-20yrs before this happens) - I expect bitcoin to become much more niche. I can see restaurants popping up which only accept bitcoins. mid-long term(~50-100yrs) - widely accepted currency working in parallel with other banks currencies long-long term(~100yrs+) - #1 currency that will CHANGE bank industries (bank will never be destroyed, there strategies will change, they will still give out loans)

good question should of put that in the first post. No I wont pay the fee. Its up the seller I will send money as purchase/good, personal/gift, or personal/payment owned.

The coins are gone unless you can get the private keys in the wallet. The public keys are only going to let you know how many coins you have.
I have seen in the past some reputable members try to recover coins for members if you shipped them your hard drive. I guess it would be a bit of a pain because its a mac so unless your comfortable taking it apart to get the HDD you would need to ship the entire unit. It sounds as if that computer is for everyday use too so im not sure if you could do without it. It still may be a better option then losing all your coins. I forget who offered the service in the past. :\

I think that graphic is really great. The price timeline seems to point out some more notable values. The last date on there is too old 10 days short of a year. Of course time will always be running but the last date should be from "today's" date with the current price. Maybe put june 20th "averaging $5.50 for 3 months straight" or something similar.

HO is the scale. Slot cars are cars that are collected/raced around electrified tracks. The tracks have small slots or grooves in them which is where the word slot comes from. Cars are modelled after full size vehicles.

The question is, would you relocate in order to do so?
I guess, in order to be more clear, what I'm saying is I don't think any large city has a real potential to produce a Bitcoin economy at this point.
Fuck yeah. One day I hope to move to New Hampshire or at least have a porcfest holiday for a few weeks. Edit: once suppliers and farmers start accepting bitcoin things will be golden. yup. stores accepting BTC are nice but they still need to pay suppliers to do so they need to convert the BTC->cash. If bitcoin is to succeed Im sure it will slowly make its way up the chain.

It doesn't much matter. As he said, he has a job now and can pay back his debt out of that income.
Him saying that doesnt matter much. Once he starts to deliver we can believe him. Im worried about his first OP on the immmm back thread. He wants to start more projects yet he so cavalry tossed this aside and "forgot" abut it. Im with ben im not forgetting.

final! I was starting to think oldwise would come back and get away without any sort of explanation on this one. imsaguy great timeline. Even if this was what he called a "gamble" we should of been able to get back more then 40BTC. hell all he had to buy was graphic cards because the other equipment was apparently free. At the time this was taking place grahpic cards were being resold like crazy near or equal to there original value.
