v11.8:
Thanks again. Temps via RDC and new option -showdiff work fine. Just a note: in readme file you forgot to indicate value of the new option -showdiff 1 (missing 1)

"About 17 thousand compromised GPON routers, infected with the Satori botnet, are now scanning port 3333 to find publicly exposed Ethereum mining rigs running the Claymore Dual Miner software for which a publicly known remote execution vulnerability exists. Once the attacker identifies an Ethereum miner running the Claymore software they push instructions to reconfigure the device to join the 'dwarfpool' mining pool and use the attacker's Ethereum wallet."
Assuming this has been fixed, which version of the Claymore miner has the fix?
From history.txt: v10.6 --------------------------------------------------------------------- - fixed critical issue in remote management feature (attacker could crash miner even in read-only mode).

I want to report maybe a bug , Using 11.7: When I try to start Claymore: miner@newrig_rx:~$ ./clay/start.sh /home/miner/clay/ethdcrminer64: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by /home/miner/clay/ethdcrminer64) ^C miner@newrig_rx:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Release: 18.04 Codename: bionic Probably, I think there is bug with Claymore - looks for CURL_OPENSSL_3 and not newer versions, because with libcurl3 installed - it works fine, but it doesn't work with libcurl4 (default lib). Read for some fixes for ArchLinux (They didn't work to me on Ubuntu), but I think that with using Ubuntu 18.04 more and more people will see this error. Thank you in advance. Ok I'll check it. Yes, I upgraded my ubuntu 16.04 system to 18.04 and it broke Claymore's Dual Miner. Running even the latest V11.5, it was broken. One "sudo apt remove libcurl4 & sudo apt install libcurl3" and I was rolling. And before anyone goes and tells me this is a bad idea, I know it already and thank-you in advance. :-) 🦊 I'm looking forward to seeing a Claymore Dual Miner that works with libcurl4 so I can move everything on to 18.04. :-) 🦊 Hi, you can try this way: 1) add all needed libraries (libcurl3) in your claymore dir /home/miner/clay/ 2) edit your start.sh like that: #!/bin/bash
if [ -n "$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" ]; then LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/miner/clay else LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/miner/clay fi export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
./ethdcrminer64 ... your config here Good luck.

What makes you think I have crossfire enabled? the driver tries to activate Crossfire automatically after installation, therefore you should deactivate it after driver installation. from vegaminingguides TURN OFF AMD CROSSFIRE DETECTION
Whenever Windows starts the AMD driver tries to detect other Vega cards to establish "crossfire". We don't want crossfire and even searching for it is not good for driver stability. We also don't want it polling to see about power states when your mining. Here are manual steps to disable "EnableUlps" and "EnableCrossFireAutoLink" (take note of the Vega registry ID numbers as we will need them again later) Windows Start key --> "regedit" Be careful to only change entries that this guide says to change, you can mess up your computer with this program. Navigate to the proper directory by either drilling down per the photo below (easier) or you can search and let Windows find it via: Select Edit --> Find (Ctrl-F) Type "EnableUlps" and select the 'Find Next' button (case sensitive) It may take a long time to search... let it work The search windows will eventually go away having driven down into your registry and selected a field "EnableUlps" with a value of 1 (true) - click to expand pic if needed. Thanks for detailed reply, but my cards are rx 580 and I always disable crossfire (in Radeon Settings) immediately after installing the drivers on my rigs. The temperature problem only occurs when I use Windows remote desktop

@claymore can you maybe fix miner for gpu temp monitor when i use MS remote desktop, and run miner .. only 1 gpu show temp when i run minier via teamviver, show all gpu temp and fan %, or i run local .. via keyboard and monitor
but, teamviver is not free, and from time to time block conncection and you must wait for another. And MS remote desktop is builed in, free and working great
It is not related to the miner, the reason is in Windows and AMD drivers. @claymore Hi, I have the same problem ... only GPU0 shows temp Here I have win10 pro 1709 with drivers 18.3.4 and your miner v11.7: 00: 30: 39: 219 1e0c ETH: 05/14 / 18-00: 30: 39 - New job from eu1.ethermine.org:5555 00: 30: 39: 219 1e0c target: 0x0000000112e0be82 (diff: 4000MH), epoch 186 (2.45GB) 00: 30: 39: 219 1e0c gpu # 1 dt 0.15 (0%, good) 00: 30: 39: 219 1e0c ETH - Total Speed: 61.963 Mh / s, Total Shares: 122, Rejected: 0, Time: 02:17 00: 30: 39: 235 1e0c ETH: GPU0 30.854 Mh / s, GPU1 31.109 Mh / s 00: 30: 41: 829 d50 GPU 0 temp = 56, old fan speed = 53, new fan speed = 39 00: 30: 43: 438 1e0c ETH: checking pool connection ...

Hi,
everytime I try this or Avermore after some time some cards are off/dead. played with -X and -I or- -g but no difference. other/former versions of sgminer or GG never had this problem. any ideas?
BTW. I started to follow the build instructions in VS, but stuck, may I ask for more detailed despription, especially the part "4. PDCurses", what win32 folder?
Try a less greedy OC / UV especially if you have mod cards

|
|
Have some strange thing going on where every time I boot up the miner I have to delete the .bin file, otherwise it does the "stopped working" windows things.
During test of v1.4 after a few seconds from compiling kernel happened also to me. Maybe it depends on greedly OC / UV or too aggressive intensity. Now I have found a stable configuration (probably not the best) and average hashrate has improved compared to v.1.1 (from 0.5 Mh to 1 Mh per card ).

Does anyone have MOD for this particular memory Hynix H5GC8H24MJ (new model)?
I tried with these cards:
XFX RX 580 8GB Hynix NITRO RX 580 8GB Hynix MSI ARMOR RX 580 8GB Hynix
All with the same memory (H5GC8H24MJ)
MOD: 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17
Tried with strap 1500 and 1750.
The best I did was: 720~ h/s with monero7 750~ h/s with heavy
GPU and MEM frequencies by default
"double_threads": true
"intensity": 51, "worksize": 8, "threads": 2
Drivers: Blockchain-Aug23 with Pixel Patcher 1.4.6
Install last driver. Use mod 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17 Than set memory to 2150 (maybe some lower depends on card quality - 2140 or 2125) In SRB try intensity 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 108. Every try wait 3-5 minutes... Aren't there other straps for Cryptonight + Hynix 8GB? These straps are good for ETH (31+ in good ICs) but for CN is quite slow. I think we have room to improvement. Unafortunately (or fortunately) I dont have a 580 8GB with Hynix here to try to change something You can try timing mod from SRB Polaris bios editor... Maybe it better... I had same mod for H5GQ8H24MJUsing SRB Polaris mod I had some improvements for Cryptonight V7 even though I am still testing it. Read my post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1882656.msg35307258#msg35307258I'm using latest adrenaline drivers 18.3.4 Your card is very low quality. With "777..." strap I haved 1 card that normal works without errors on 2140MHz memroy. 2nd card on 2125MHz. "Pimp" straps better than stock. On SRB CN miner need to tune intensity. On default intensity speed is not optimal. ASIC quality of my card is 78.8% (reported by GPU-Z). For another card with a different memory type (also Hynix), with ASIC quality 78.1 and another mod, I easily reach 935 h/s for Cryptonight V7. Therefore I think it is just a matter of finding the correct strap suitable for the type of memory and not the brand.

@doktor83
Hi, first of all thanks for your great work.
I have an MSI RX 580 8GB gaming X (H5GQ8H24MJR SK Hynix), its hashrate is only 28.2 MH for ETH and 760 H for XMR (SRB Miner). I modded it with UBERMIX 3.1 straps (1500+). Do you think using PIMP MY STRAPS could I get better results?
Ubermix isn't for Hynix memories, try pimping your straps, put for example 1150/2100 you should get aroun 30mhs on eth. Yes I know. They come from one click timings (jaschaknack) and even if they are not the best, they are quite stable for this card. I'm going to try the "pimp straps" and I'll post the results here. Results after a few hours of "pimp my straps" testing. Note: previous results obtained with "one click timings" are shown in brackets. ETH - Claymore 11.6 1150/2000/900 -> 28.5 MH/s - (n.a.) 1180/2000/900 -> 28.5 MH/s - (28.2 MH/s) 1150/2100/900 -> 30.1 MH/s, thousands errors/second with artifacts - (n.a. millions errors/second without artifacts) XMR - SRB MINER 1.4.6 1150/2000/900 -> ~819 H/s - (n.a.) 1180/2000/900 -> 820 H/s - (760 H/s) 1150/2100/900 -> 843 H/s, ~ 125 errors/hour - (n.a.) So for ETH I have a very small improvement from 28.2 to 28.5. Unfortunately I can not use the memory at 2100: too many errors and artifacts even lowering it to 2080, 2050. Instead for XMR although with the memory at 2100 I have some error (I think negligible values) there is some improvement: from 760 H to 843 H. In the next few days I will test other algos and miners then I will decide whether to stay with "pimp my straps" or switching back to "one click timings".

Great job !
XMR ( v0.18 ) -t 2 CPU G4600 @ 3.60GHz ~ 70 h/s -t 4 CPU i7-3820 @ 3.60GHz ~ 285 h/s
it's probably not the best but I don't like stressing too much my cpus.
