41  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bet on bitcoin future price here (July 1st, 2011) on: May 30, 2011, 11:02:44 AM
So anything over $10 is only bet in whole dollar USD right?
42  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Estrada Glasses - 1 BTC, shipped. on: May 30, 2011, 10:50:34 AM
From the BK commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4r4xLXJI9E

I sold thousands of these at $24, but now out of
1) a desire to clear out the rest of my inventory, and
2) a desire to give people one more legitimate way to spend BitCoins

I'm offering them for just 1 bitcoin w/ free first-class delivery. These are professionally-applied vinyl letters on quality metal-framed aviator sunglasses. You can not see through the vinyl. Please do not drive, operate other heavy machinery, or make love to someone for the first time while wearing these.

Just send me a PM with your shipping address and how many/what color you want and I'll send you a Bitcoin address for payment. You send the bitcoins first, but I have extensive positive feedback on these (http://myworld.ebay.com/nextbattery). Send me your eBay name with your PM if you want me to eBay message you from that account to confirm my identity.

43  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling ~$40 USD on PokerStars on: May 30, 2011, 10:30:39 AM
I've got a balance on PokerStars that I'm looking to sell for bitcoins. I'd prefer ClearCoin with the donate-to-charity option, we should be able to clear it pretty much immediately thanks to the relative speed of a Stars transfer.

This guy needs some polish, but I think you guys are being way too hard on him.
45  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: Burn Wii games for me -- .10 BTC apiece on: May 26, 2011, 08:45:22 PM
On moral grounds...
You might advice against this...
But the beauty of BTC...
Is its anonymity....

Nobody needs to know...
Who the seller is in this case...
Don't think law enforcement...
Would waste a ton to track him down...

46  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: Selling the rest of my btc stash! on: May 26, 2011, 08:21:28 PM
You should diversify it sounds like Smiley I can give you 10 silver American Eagles, delivered, for 48 BTC. That works out to under $5 over spot each, plus free shipping. I can also do a 10oz silver bar + 1 silver eagle if you prefer. This is well below what you'd pay at Apmex or a coin shop.

Let me know, I've got an eBay account I can message you from for rep, and we can do ClearCoin on it if you can confirm your rep.
47  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling Silver American Eagles on: May 26, 2011, 08:14:09 PM
I've got up to 12 SAE's for sale. Beautiful 1oz silver coins. I'm asking for $5 over spot, plus a flat $4 to ship them. Going rate on Apmex is $6-7.50 over spot + $12.95(!!) shipping.

For those with a lot of BTC this is a great way to go straight from BTC to silver, rather than the hassle and fees/expense of BTC -> Digital USD -> Real cash -> Silver.

I've done a couple of transactions on here though I don't know if I have public feedback on them. I can also eBay message you from my eBay account with 600+ feedback, over 99%. ClearCoin is fine. PM or post here for any questions.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: google is going to help :) on: May 26, 2011, 12:17:17 AM
Before you can use your cell phone to pay at a B&M store we need payments to be processed in less than 30 minutes. It needs to be at least 200 times that fast.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: betco.in on: May 19, 2011, 08:19:20 AM
Not sure on their history, but this site has been reliable for me for the past 3 days or so that I've been on it. Slowly picking up users. There's almost always a decent-sized group of people on one of the micro-stakes tables.

The games are in bitcents, by the way, which can be a little confusing. If you sit at the .10/.25 no limit table the blinds are actually .0010/.0025 BTC. Buy-in at that table is around .25 BTC so it's a good low stakes game.

Hopefully some of the real stakes will catch on.
50  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling USD on 5Dimes.com on: May 17, 2011, 10:19:43 AM
I'm selling up to $800 on 5Dimes.com. I will do chunks as small as ~$80.

You'll need to have an account already and have funded it in the past (I believe this is part of how they verify identity).

Will transfer balance to you in exchange for BTC at current spot rates using ClearCoin (with the donate to charity expiry option).
51  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: WTB BTC for cash in Santa Monica, CA on: May 17, 2011, 07:58:34 AM
Unfortunately that site doesn't seem to function (tried it in Chrome and Firefox). Clicking any of the menu items keeps me on the same splash page. Maybe the problem is on my end, but I can't get it to work.

Edit: It was me. Didn't understand the log-in box. I'm still interested in finding someone on here if possible, there's not much volume (or any that I can see) on that site right now.

Hey. I'm the creator of Ubitex. The reason there isn't much volume is that there isn't much volume! Just create an order, even if it's never filled you'll be helping bootstrap our site.

Thanks!

I posted an order. Definitely would be nice if your site is able to pick up steam, and I think it will if BTC continues to catch on.

If I could make just one suggestion it would be to explain somewhere about OpenID. I'm more "tech savvy" than 80-90% of my friends (still an idiot compared to the other 10-20%) but I didn't really get it at all as I hadn't heard of it before and there's no spot to put a password.

Also, the "become a seller" makes sense, but a lot of people won't realize that can also mean a seller of USD (aka, a buyer). Buyers of BTC will tend to be the less experienced users who are less likely to click that and realize they can buy. Maybe you could change the heading to buyer/seller. I get what you were going for, but I'm worried it's counter-productive.

Anyway, great site. Very simple/smooth overall.
52  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ubitex: In-person Bitcoin exchange [EARLY BETA!] on: May 17, 2011, 07:52:05 AM
Hey guys. Just fixed a big bug in Ubitex that had gone unnoticed.

To speed up the discovery of bugs, I'm announcing a bug bounty! 0.10 BTC for each previously unknown bug found.

Tried to cancel a order in Chrome (logged-in, of course). Clicked the button to confirm "yes, I want to cancel" and I was taken to page with just a text menu, the openid box, and "500: Internal Server Error".

The order was not cancelled.

53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can't find wallet.dat on: May 17, 2011, 04:52:12 AM
Thanks. Don't know why this didn't show up when I searched my c drive.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can't find wallet.dat on: May 17, 2011, 04:20:05 AM
Installed the BTC client on Windows 7 the other day, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't find my wallet.dat file.

I have all files unhidden and searched my whole hard drive. I had some .cpp files show up but not my wallet.dat file. I've made transactions and everything is working fine, so I assume the file has to be there somewhere.

Any help?
55  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: i am selling btc fot paypal on: May 17, 2011, 03:36:40 AM
I bought 13 from him and it went as smoothly as it could. 9 confirmations on it already, so the coins are mine! My very first BTC (not counting my .02 from the faucet).
56  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much would it cost right now to attain 50% of the network? on: May 17, 2011, 03:34:32 AM
So can someone tell me how this doesn't mean that someone w/ $2-5M can take over the entire BTC economy?
57  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn 136BTC or 2BTC for getting shops/organisations to accept Bitcoin! on: May 16, 2011, 08:44:26 AM
Just contacted the reddit admins about it to see if they'll use it for reddit gold. They're not a big "store" per se, but they're a HUGE community so I think it would be a big step.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here so I don't have a lot of rep and I'm not 100% sure of what may or may not be a scam, so I'd like to do a good old fashioned cash trade.

I'm looking for up to ~70 BTC at current market prices, but I'd meet up for as few as 20. I'm thinking we just meet up at a coffee shop (in/near Santa Monica, CA), bring our computers and do the transfer and exchange the cash right there. I'd like to do this ASAP, Monday if possible.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested. I also have Silver American Eagles for in-person trade at market prices (spot + $5 roughly).
