If you have friends who are higher in rank, they can help you to get merit points. Also buying votes is a solution whats not wanted, but is possible,
Hi,
What are you talking about? Merit system was launched to increase quality of forum threads generally, not for single user. In addition, if you are contributive user, you will earn merits from many users in the forum (no need to beg to merits from your friends).
Another minus point is you should not trading merits (buying or exchanging).

I think it is right time to lock your topic. Please do it.

As you can read I indicated that I am for the merit system. Only it's a pity that it does not always cause the quality to increase. Friends can help each other, and merit points can also be bought.

Anyway. It is not my intention to get into a discussion. It's my intention to clarify how you get a fair assessment system, without the above issues.

I hope that other people will also be able to comment on this
42  Other / Meta / Re: How to have merit points? on: March 19, 2018, 02:58:32 PM
I contribute with my posts, but haven't seen any merit points yet Wink. I'm trying to help other members to build up their knowledge as I try to do it myself.
Hi,

How can you contribute to the forum with one-line threads (which I found in your post history, most of your threads are one-lined)? I don't think any users will send you their sMerits for such an extremely low-quality thread.
Please improving your thread quality before coming back and asking why you don't get merits next time.

How can you judge about queality? Just by scrolling through page 1 of my posts? Or just by saying: one-liner are low quality? To give you more info: I regularly read posts which intregue me. Sometimes a short reply is sufficient, sometime not.

The people who are members and higher and who were already here for the merit system do not have to meet these requirements. Plus an additional disadvantage. If you deliver 'quality' items, but these are not seen and not assessed, then the poster will not be ranked further.

I do not want to say that the merit system is not of added value. I totally agree that it is good to get higher quality posts. But I also hope that the merit system will further be improved.

If you have friends who are higher in rank, they can help you to get merit points. Also buying votes is a solution whats not wanted, but is possible,

I do not have a ready-made solution, but I hope that this will be looked at further

Does anyone know.?..thanks for the help
Briefly, I have 5 important advices for you. Hope you like them,  Grin

In order to receive merits and sMerits, you should do the following things:
1.1. Be as helpful as possible in the forum. Be helpful not equal to try being helpful. They are very different. Be helpful means you are ready to help others to solve their problems when you see it by chance. You should not pretend to be helpful, it won't help you.
1.2. Keep learning to get more experience. In IT area, particularly crypto-ecosystem, everything passed so fast, therefore you should keep learning continuously till the day before losing your last breath (just exaggeration).
1.3. Improving your post quality a little bit day by day, post by post, topic by topic. Over time, maybe one or two months, you will see big achievements (your posts might be more informative, more succinct, etc.)
1.4. Improving your English skills (even English is your native language). It is due to the fact that if you can not comprehensive understand what others wrote, you can help them; or if you write your threads in broken English, no one can understand them; then your threads will be likely useless.
1.5. Keep doing those steps continuously to form good post history, which can also help you to increase your opportunity to earn merits for good posts. Mainly because some users dont want to send their sMerits for someone who only write one good post but have bad post history with dozens of shitty posts.
Maybe more, I will update the thread with more details when ideas light up suddenly

I contribute with my posts, but haven't seen any merit points yet Wink. I'm trying to help other members to build up their knowledge as I try to do it myself.

45  Local / Markt / Re: Lucratief voorstel voor jonge TA/FA specialist/Researcher (Scholier,student,ww) on: March 18, 2018, 11:21:10 PM

In ieder geval veel succes.

What is this. I joined to see what it is exactly. When I opened discord I instant got following message:

Yesterday at 3.20
@everyone

Discord Invite Contest is over! Winners are announced, see #contests-promotions for more information. Also please stand by for babies to finally spawn. The first round of cooldowns will be happening tonight.

Very strange if you start a contest 5 days ago. It was an inviting contest and via bitcointalk.org an easy way to get new members by saying there is a contest. So be aware before you click. Just a warning

It seems like a very promising project 't. If I look at your system, privacy sensitive information from customers is shared. How do we  be sure for 100% that this information will never fall into the hands of governments, so that this information can be misused.

Can somebody answer my question please

Just rank up to jr. member - member and you can join some signature campaign or even social media campaign's. Don't be upset, we all we've been through that stage that we want to join campaigns when we are lower ranks but time will come and you can enjoy it soon. It's not even the only way to earn if you are looking to profit from other things, you can practice day trading.

For daytrading you need some experience. Maybe read up here: https://chainoperator.com/making-a-living-day-trading-cryptocurrency/

57  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Advertising through bounty profitable? on: March 17, 2018, 10:24:27 AM
I want to ask how does the people that do bounty make money.I mean they are giving away money for free. How is it profitable for ICO teams?
Because very less amount of people invest in their ICO through bounty. Huh
If the bounty is paying with their own tokens then of course it is profitable, it didn't cost the developers any money to create those tokens since those tokens do not have value yet, the ones working for those tokens are the ones taking on the risk because if the project is not successful then all their work will be for nothing.

Clear explanation.

Not much response!

what did you expect? someone to be laying in wait to answer a question like that? 12 hrs from the time he asked till the time you post?? you realize this is a forum thread right not some live chat?  Wink
Hahaha.... Yeah, you're right. Maybe a little inpatient  Wink
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the market recover? on: March 16, 2018, 11:17:30 PM
This has been the question since bitcoin and altcoins dropped their values late last year. The truth if the matter is, no one really knows when the market will recover but i firmly believe that it will, in time. Though there were times when we thought that bitcoin and some altcoins are on their way to recovery but a few hours later, it drops. The market is actually on a rough roller coaster ride but loke any rides, it will soon end and it will recover.

I see a lot of the same messages appear. Most People are convinced the market will recover. Some people think TA analysis show Bitcoin will bottom at 6 or 7k and then  it will be up again.

Others look at the total market capitalisation. In 2017 it went up to 600 billion. In 2018 there is been a lot of selling, but it seems there's enough room for crypto to further develop.

Also because Banks are beginning to invest more and more in crypto. Were they not the ones who were so fiercely against crypto? Or did they consciously provoke this pricedrop so they have a good time to buy. Many think so. But time will tell.

Read here: https://diarweekly.com/volume-2-issue-10/

Now we're complaining, but I'm convinced in a few weeks/months it's halleluja again and this thread is forgotten  Grin
