41  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do YOU find eniticing about anonymous exchanges? on: January 29, 2019, 01:32:51 PM

Have you researched into the legal implications of continuously opening new, pseudoanonymous exchanges? If you're opening it under the same company, wouldn't it be a matter of time before they get cracked down?

Registering an offshore business is easier than you think. Again, it's just a concept; we personally have made our peace with the fact that we have to have KYC, and after the case you're talking about here we've made it so that you can opt out and receive a refund.

Also, have you settled your case with Privcoin?

We're still waiting for them to contact us so that we know the refund wallet is still intact and our lawyers know that the folks over at Privcoin have officially opted out.
So far, no one has replied yet; the thread has been silent for months, and since we don't collect personal data, we can't contact them through the support ourselves. When they show up, the money will be refunded to them within 24 hours.

42  Economy / Exchanges / What do YOU find eniticing about anonymous exchanges? on: January 28, 2019, 03:45:29 PM
After spending a certain amount of time on the forums here and there, I've started thinking about what exactly drives people to truly anonymous exchanges (not registration-free with selective KYC checks, but to true KYC-free services). I understand that there are some privacy geeks and important crypto enthusiasts who would like their identity hidden at all costs, but what's in it for an average person who purchases small amounts of crypto for hodling or token-specific purchases? Would that be worth opening countless new services that can maintain their lack of KYC for a while, then, when the time comes, flip the KYC switch, then open a new anonymous service over and over again?
Again, I'm just interested in opinions, so please let me know.
43  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Women in Crypto - Where are they and who are they? on: January 28, 2019, 03:28:04 PM
As a blockchain enterprise employee who is also a woman, I can safely say that there are a lot of female staff members in various crypto startups. Our CEO is also a woman, she is a total badass, takes no crap from anyone, knows her stuff. There are several female-centric orgs that concentrate on women in crypto, like Women in Blockchain - they're awesome, you should check them out. Kathleen Breitman is a cofounder of Tezos, one of Ardor founders is also a woman - those are pretty big companies. This is only the beginning.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to all of the anonymity exchanges? on: January 28, 2019, 02:51:13 PM
I think that sooner or later most of the exchanges will become centralized, as KYC will be more and more present. Only a few exchanges do not require today KYC, bit honestly, I wouldn't keep important funds on them due to security issues they might face.

Why would you even keep any funds on an exchange? That's bonkers! Seriously, if you're keeping your coins on an exchange, it's best to withdraw them as soon as possible to a wallet you trust. If you can't afford a hardware wallet, storing your keys on an encrypted USB stick would work almost as well. If you need some for spending, just put a small amount on a hot wallet, of which there are many out there.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung S10 Embedded with Cryptocurrency wallet on: January 27, 2019, 08:41:08 PM
a cryptocurrency wallet doesn't really belong on your cell phone, specially if it comes pre-installed. you usually want to keep your coins in cold storage specially since nothing apart from bitcoin has any other usages in the real world so there is no point in for example carrying around your NEO, or ETH or something like that in your phone!
if they only limit it to bitcoin then there is no point in their wallet since we already have other android wallets like Electrum which are more trusted.
Correct, that's why I find it funny people commenting that its going to be good. I mean you always have your phones in your wallet with your money in it so its already compromise because I'm sure majority of us are going online with our smart phones, and there's also the risk of malware attack.

Doesnt matter - the s10 is going to expose millions of people to crypto, which is insanely good. Adoption, man!
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On merchants not willing to accept crypto on: January 27, 2019, 08:31:39 PM
I've been in a lot of discussions about whether BTC serves better as a means of storing value or exchanging it. As of now, BTC works better as an SoV - TpS is low, fees are high - of course merchants are reluctant to accept it as a means of payment. Other cryptos might be better at being a means of payment.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Hodling Coins!!! on: January 27, 2019, 08:21:03 PM
Sounds like an incentive for everyone to dump their coins. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Won't it be possible to be paid for bounty in cash instead of token on: January 27, 2019, 08:20:00 PM
Why would bounty hosts pay in cash? The key point of a bounty is to spread brand awareness and increase the holder amount for a token/coin. Besides, can you imagine how much money a successful bounty would have to dump in order to pay every hunter? A lot.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never sell my Alts for loss: Prefer to take them to the cemetery! on: January 27, 2019, 08:16:48 PM

i think i'm in the same situation i also have so many altcoins that are worth little or nothing, what do? sell them immediately before they are delisted by the various echange or keep them until the arrival of the bull market?

I'd look at the project. If you really see how it can benefit people and has practical use cases, not just something like "my ass, but on a blockchain", then it's worth sticking out for a bit more.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: January 27, 2019, 08:13:56 PM
Most ICO's look too good to be true - so, people flock to them like bees to honey. All of them promise tons of money really fast - unfortunately, it almost never happens. We ran a number of bounties last year and it was chilling to see how many people were desperate to get their hands on more tokens, with a pretty big number of them looking to buy some, even though we've stated multiple times that we don't sell our tokens - not to mention that we are still yet to announce the benefits that the tokens are to bring.

well
since cases about ur exchange take a long time for clarification
i dont think ur reputation will be cured for short time.
but well
welcome back.

There was one case that took us a long time to resolve; it created a precedent that helped us lay a new groundwork wrt our KYC policies in order to ensure that anything of that sort will never happen again. We are always ready to accept constructive criticism and I'll gladly answer all the questions pertaining to the changes that we underwent. Thanks, though!

I see that your project itself is doing something about the exchange after reading your website.

But I don't quite understand why we can't trade the Now token on your website or app.   Huh

If your NOW token is listed, how would you maintain it’s price without fluctuating too much?

Our service basically serves as a fast and easy-to-use interface for several exchanges. We can't trade NOW (for now) since it's not listed on those exchanges yet.
As for the price, this is the exact reason why we're holding out on the listing - if we listed it right NOW, smack dab in the middle of the bear market, the price would dump almost instantly. We're planning on introducing A Thing in a couple of weeks that will hopefully introduce some real value to the tokens through real use cases.

bump!

SInce you already got lot of accusation about your anonymous exchange better to resolve them all if you want to prove yourself to be legit or don't think anyone will use your exchange for any type of purpose.

All issues that have occurred in the past months have been already solved and all the necessary changes to out ToS have been made - as of now, you can formally refuse to pass KYC and have your funds returned to you.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cannot Die. It is Impossible. Under Any Circumstances. on: January 18, 2019, 08:16:17 PM
The very concept of bitcoin as a decentralized form of money is here to stay, However, as a separate crypto, Bitcoin is becoming obsolete pretty fast.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to all of the anonymity exchanges? on: January 18, 2019, 08:02:55 PM
There's currently a ton of pressure from regulators and the overall market. Lots of businesses that used to be anonymous have been forced to implement KYC checks.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are buying BTC in 2019 because you think it is Bitcoin, you are being foo on: January 18, 2019, 07:59:49 PM
I mean, if you're buying BTC, you are buying Bitcoin. The ticker is still the same. You shouldn't be surprised, considering Roger Ver actually owns Bitcoin.com.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: January 18, 2019, 07:56:55 PM
We just have to wait for the Constantinople fork. The price might jump a good amount after that.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite stablecoin?? on: January 18, 2019, 07:51:07 PM
In some ways TUSD, USD USDT is perfect stable coin. If you looking for top stable coin so I can only see TRON and BNB this stable coin. TRON has a best future.

Neither TRON or BNB are stablecoins, though.

If we're talking stablecoins, DAI is pretty good.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am surprised !!! I am confused what is happening right now. on: January 18, 2019, 07:47:44 PM
Looks like John McAfee will have to eat his dick after all.

In all seriousness, no one can tell what's going to happen to crypto, ever. All we have to do is sit back and watch the market. All these pompous declarations from celebrities aren't gonna change anything.
