Hello Jupiter Owners. (also other miners may pitch in as well)

Anyone got a Temperature reader/gun.

Any chance you could measure the Temperature of the PCI cables, seen another post for a Bitfury thingy where a PCI cable burnt out.

I have Just Measured mine, running at 28c, 30c , 35c , 40c. Measured where it connects to the Jupiter PCI-e extension cable.

Ambient Temp for the Room is 26c.

Cheers

Hi Stupid question.

NMC coins, is that only added to your balance when mining using PPLNS or Both PPLNS and PPS.

Because since I changed to PPS from PPLNS my NMC balance has remained the same.

thanks

For your reference.

They Shipped me my three replacement modules in 1 Box, was well packaged in Static bags and Bubble wrap.

Seen lots of Pictures of the Heat Sinks and Fans, but no mention of Thermal paste, hope you all have that on your shopping lists.

Right on TexasBrat... I hear where you are comin' from...
learning curve...

To all...
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Single 12v Rail  PSU's Only.
As an example, I powered Two hashing boards alone
on a CB700 watt ATX-PSU that over-heated in less than 5 minutes!
Totally fried, non functional.
**The unit was/is equipped with three separate 12v rails.
The online spec sheet said 150 watt max per pci plug, I never knew it.
A single 12v rail is much safer, no matter what the rating.
This was my Friend's PSU out of his computer which I "Borrowed", without asking...
while he's on vacation!...  oops! I did call him and tell him about it, although I have one being delivered tomorrow, and should be all fixed before he returns...lol

I agree, not all PSU are created equal.

I have a 850W AKASA Cobra 82% Efficient (so it says on the box) Single 12V Rail.

I am pulling 748W from the Wall for my Jupiter (0.98.1)

ok when all is bull shit here then i ask my question again:

I need dumps of that:

i2cdump -y 1 0x24 b

and

i2cdump -y 1 0x24 w

Information about, power, voltage, dcdc state i'am near the solution to double the hash rate
inside the miner, hmmm not doubling but 200 Gh/s per Asic_Board.

thx

yeah so much bs here

Congrats to the guy who mined 59 bitcoins with two Jupiters.

How many bitcoins have fellow miners pulled in, cause even for a Day 1 59 for two Jupiters seems high.

I have 12 got my miner 16th octorber, but had trouble with cards early on , even with the problems I think I am only 5 short in top of my 12.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 31, 2013, 07:50:57 PM
Anyone with a Jupiter running 0.98.

I switched back to 0.95, but forgot to take a note of the Stale and Dupe shares at the pool, what figures are 0.98 getting for these.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 31, 2013, 08:54:38 AM
Jupiter

Rolled mine back to 0.95 from 0.98.  Noticed a Drop in hash rate after 36 Hours (from 550 to 520) at the pool. Also I get the occasional core disabled and re-enabled in 0.98, don't get them in 0.95.

Also get 80+ Watts back at the wall, temps down 5 Degrees.

HW rate down from 1.5% to 0.5%.

So 0.95 seems to be the Sweetest FW for my Jupiter.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 10:51:07 PM
Did anyone make a note of the running processes on previous versions, done a top on 0.98 and see a process called monitordcdc.

Was that there before ?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 10:41:04 PM
For the record guys, I'm at 550 with all Jupiters on FW 98 on Eligius. 1 Jupiter has 2 bad boards which I'm RMA'n today- but the 2 good boards are hashing ~270

let us know which shipping company you use and which method/price

I think a few people are waiting to pull the trigger

As far as I know KnCMiner has to pay for the shipping.
Guess they will send you a return label.

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/service/return/#UPS+Returns

KNC make you pay for the shipping via RMA, they just give you a RMA number. Cost me 60 UK pounds to ship 3 Boards. Give KNC their dues they did ship back same day with Next day Shipping.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 03:08:35 PM
Jupiter Wall Stats.

738 Watts to 747.4 Watts

76.18 Kw/h

248.8 v

2.9-3.0 A
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 29, 2013, 02:59:44 PM
0.95. to 0.98

Temps up a couple of Degrees.

Watts at Wall 747 up about 80.

557Gh/s Average (Higher at Pool, but waiting on more Shares to get better picture).

HW errors down from 1.4 to Less than 0.5.

Looking good, but more electricity.
59  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC Repairs, They've treated us well, let's do the same for them. on: October 28, 2013, 11:09:08 AM
I had the this exact same problem.

I RMA's 3 Boards from my Jupiter, they did turn the RMA around the same day the boards arrived , I was down to 1 board for a Full 4 Days.

I did ask if they would ship first they said no, I did point out to them that the Boards would not work without a controller board, but they still said no.

I am going to put an Invoice together for the Loss in Hashing since 16th Oct and when My miner was running at the Advertised speed, I will also be billing them for my time in diagnosing the issue and my RMA postage (60 UK pounds).

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 26, 2013, 03:45:48 PM
Jupiter FW 0.95

3 x Replacement boards.

After 24 Hour Burn in

Average 550Gh/s CGMiner and 550Gh/s at BTC Guild.

Less than 1 % HW errors.

All cores on and 100%.

Temps Range across 4 Asics 59.5 up to 65.5.

The suggestion that the ASIC's ball joints could get damaged due to Shipment with heat-sinks attached may have some merit.

My Under performing Jupiter is now 100%, Not changed firmware since RMA of the Faulty Boards (Faulty due to Hash Rate between 80 and 100Gh/s and a VRM not detected on 1 board).

Only other difference is I have applied my own Thermal paste.
