41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v2.1 on: November 07, 2016, 11:31:22 PM
@ claymore

Random error.. Any idea's? (2.1 w8 x64, 280x x4 rig, all stock)

Code:
21:08:43:862	fd8	GPU returned incorrect data! 424b112
21:08:53:424 fd8 GPU returned incorrect data! fc9b503
21:09:05:307 af4 GPU returned incorrect data! e0b4f1d6
21:09:37:719 fd8 GPU returned incorrect data! edc8702
21:09:39:805 fd8 GPU returned incorrect data! b3228d3
21:09:42:240 af4 GPU returned incorrect data! f14d425
21:09:43:716 fd8 GPU returned incorrect data! c78f4ed3

I have the exact same random error on a couple of my 4-5 card Tahiti rigs with intensity of 2
using -i 1 resolved it, at the cost of some hashrate

Also the same error on one rig with 3x 7950 1x 270, this time caused by the 270 and resolved by using -i 2,2,2,0

All rigs using win7 x64, 16.10.3 driver

please say work bat.exe for 290/290x for Lyra2REv2.. i have all time HW error

What miner are you using?

From what I can tell, the quark/qubit optimized sgminer build is incapable of mining Lyra2REv2
(lacks the .cl files, can't recognize them if installed)
43  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: October 20, 2015, 07:12:19 PM

This can not be an issue with the pool side, since the miner itself (sgminer in this case) is selecting the algorithm and corresponding binary kernel, build for a particular algorithm. Please double-check your configuration and try to run the miner with the same configuration, but on 33xx ports so that you can manually switch pools and see if correct binary kernels are built and used.

You are right, seems out it wasn't .conf file or pool related at all

turns out the issue is with the new Quark/Qubit optimized sgminer, which is apparently incapable of mining Lyra2REv2
(lacks the .cl files, won't use them even if added)

Anyone else notice some strange issues with the multialgo switching just now?

I just discovered several miners switched to and mining on the Lyra2REv2 port, yet somehow trying to use the ckolivas scrypt kernel

Edit: I've discovered the cause, it seems the new quark/qubit optimized sgminer lacks the Lyra2REv2 .cl files
Unfortunately, it also seems incapable of mining Lyra2REv2 at all, even when the proper .cl files are added to kernel folder.

I've always used CGwatcher for stuff like this, has adjustable monitoring & miner restart features.
Unfortunately no longer updated, but still works just fine.
46  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: March 18, 2014, 04:01:27 PM

That's weird. The server should be work now. I've tested with 4 different location servers and several online ssl checker, all of them work.

Also receiving the same crossed out HTTPS in chrome, with the following error showing on charts:

Load failed, retry after 5 seconds
Probably Reason
BitcoinWisdom is temporary down
Domain is not bitcoinwisdom.com
Network issue

same result in Firefox, and adding a manual exception to the cert error does not fix it.
Ping returns 198.41.191.234, but cloudflare prevents me from accessing any of the IPs directly

dig not found, tracert finds the following as the only hops not from my ISP:

  4    18 ms    19 ms    19 ms  six.as13335.com [206.81.81.10]
  5    14 ms     9 ms    11 ms  198.41.191.234

Only IE seems able to reach the site's charts, and only after telling it to ignore certificate errors a good half dozen times

This thread may help? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=97154.0

not the exact same board, but very similar, I suspect you'll need to do the pin shorting thing to get more than 5 working
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 29, 2014, 03:55:38 AM
I noticed the multiport mining Earthcoin a moment ago, and it shows an exchange rate of 0.00000177
I'm puzzled where this came from, as it's only 0.00000144 on Cryptsy and 0.00000142 on coinex

Also... the coin doesn't appear to have much if any trade volume, even just a couple bitcoin worth of sales will cause it to plummet.
May not be a good idea for the multiport at the moment
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: December 19, 2013, 12:32:40 AM
The scrypt multiport is mining DOGE right now, even though it's listed as Not Enabled on the multiport page and was just added yesterday.

I noticed this before with TAG, it seems there's a bug somewhere either in display or in choosing which coin to mine

Any chance we could get an option to show scrypt profitability relative to mining LTC instead of against BTC?
Given the sky-high BTC difficulty and specialized hardware it just doesn't quite make as much sense using BTC as reference as it did 6 months back.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MultiCoin][Stratum+GW] multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: July 01, 2013, 10:25:41 PM
I"m not sure why, but my miner is reporting a 26% stale rate over the past hour, and just as I type this reports a stratum disconnect on the multiport (site says chillin on WDC throughout)

Switched to LTC port, all is well.
