The hack is explained by the devs if you go through the entire thread. Only malicious and offensive posts might have been moderated. There are some big changes coming, so stay tuned.
The pools have been working fine now for a very long time (and everyone is mining only in pools, be it public or private). Just go on Telegram, that is the main method of active communication.

This is real CPU mining, meaning the faster the CPU and the more cores it has the better results will be. Also new CPUs have newer instructions sets which are more efficient. Latest generation of Intel and AMD are the best. Pools are already available and are working pretty fine. The code is not final (and some features will be added with time) but almost 98% of the miners now mine in pools, so this says a lot about the efficiency of the pools.

Your problem with the pools lies between your keyboard and the chair. The pools are working fine now and paying on PPW and on time. Stop believing the FUD! Check for yourselves. Also, on the phone use incognito mode but it's best to test on PC/laptop.

Well, these stats look very good indeed, it seems that the experimental pools have already achieved half of the global hashrate.
That is completely wrong! You have a button there on the right that also includes in the graphs the "Other miners". If you click that you will see the real distribution of mined blocks, not only the top 25 miners.

Stop throwing garbage, if you want to test the pools connect on the experimental: https://webdollar.ddns.net:9094/pool/0/WebDollar%20Experimental%20Pool/0.02/WEBD$gCGdPQLohdeHQqa+ptoJ@QK2LCvN7IS5JX$/93ba881950314cca579d4f8699a6bc67695ec7292bceadb6f6709b70beba774a/https:$$webdollar.ddns.net/https:$$robitza.ddns.net:9095 Bugs do appear from places you never expect so things are moving along with fixing them + promised features (in paralel), you just have limited visibility.

The updates have been rolled out and you can use one wallet on multiple machines in all pools.
|
|
|
Pool2 has the vantage that you can use the same WebD wallet on multiple machines. On pool 1 each machine (miner) needs to keep its original wallet as payments only go into that one (even if you have changed it and deleted the initial one created by the web interface when you first access it).

Parts of the code are already in testing. Some things are still under development, so stay tuned, it shouldn't take much longer.

You can easily adjust the power of the mining with a simple slider in the web page. To be sure you are not damaging anything it's recommended to monitor you PC's temperatures (especially if it's a laptop - where you should not mine with speed set at maximum).

Alex, you will always have people that are unsatisfied for every reason imaginable, and some of them will use all sorts of language and accusations. The vast majority is seeing the value in this project and has the decency to try to understand the delays. But I guess the dev should be a bit separate from the promoting team, each with it's own tasks. You, being the image behind this project it's understandable the need for PR but I think more dev help would be nice in your coding team. PS. If I had coding skills I would definitely get involved, but I'm a sysadmin

Hi Alex,
Can you detail a bit more points 3 and 4? (3 in particular)

Indeed the hash rate has exploded even without pools and it's like a lot of people are just mining for nothing.
One bug I found in the WEBD Explorer for a few days, it does not show the blocks any more, at all. It only shows my address and that's it, black empty page.

There is only one form of no internet money today: cash )

By graph I meant the image on the background of the website. It's not static but a graph(matrix or how do you want to call it) like structure that is drawn with white lines on black that is evolving and drawing new lines. A simple static image (picture) would have helped. I know the forum but most posts are old and some people contradict themselves, this is why I am asking you, what is best, with browser minimized or not? PS. keep up the good work, I know you are struggling on manpower for this project.

Does this mean we can eliminate the add-ons for auto-refrehs every 1h?
Also, one curiosity, how is it faster to mine with the browser minimized or not? (having the tab active I can see it's mandatory to keep it's priority)
And last, the graph that is drawn in the background is eating a lot of resources and gives huge hash fluctuations (especially on Intel CPUs with integrated graphics). I say this because on one setup the browser shows only a static image (guess it's a bug, but a positive one) the hash is always stable and at max.

What does this fallback list do? Can you please describe a bit? What should people look there?

Do you think you will be able to follow the plan and release the Pools by the end of the month?
|
|
|
Unfortunately mine never appeared back.. And I still get "Internet not working please refresh".

This morning I got a block after 5 days of waiting and now it has disappeared. I've also checked on https://webdollar.network/#/miner/ and it's not present. Was I mining a fork or what?
|
|
|
Was it an actual attack or was someone just wanting to make a point that the current infra would not support any kind of large transaction numbers?
