41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: Banks Unlikely to Apply Blockchain for Cross-Border Payments in Near Fut on: August 14, 2019, 03:51:03 PM
price movement in usd value during the last 2 years:

bitcoin 9.3x
ethereum 27x
ripple 95x

Shorter term, my last XRP buy was almost a year ago, around 17c, current price is 55c, that's over 300%.
In the same period BTC went from 3.000 to 6.500, that's just over 200%.

all you need is just to zoom out a bit Smiley
Such computation can be find for the any shitcoins.

For trade and medium-term investments, this still works. But, in fact, this asset does not look potential, and investments are not promising.

Ripple is too unstable to use for transferring funds, they will probably use tether or another type of stable coin instead. Imagine transferring 1 million in ripple and then after one week it is only worth 500,000. This is bad for business
This is one of the main reasons that it is not suitable for banking operations.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing does not have to wait long on: August 13, 2019, 09:55:16 AM
Investments do not imply a quick return. In the stock market, the investment period can be more than 10 years. The cryptocurrency market has distorted the understanding of investments for many. Quick profits cannot be long. Moreover, some earn quickly, while others pay a long time. In crypto, this is half of 2017 and from 2018 to the present.
Therefore, we are here for a long time Grin
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beware of IEO SCAM on: August 12, 2019, 08:33:50 AM
This is not the first case of fraud with IEO. Admittedly, participation in a non-Binance IEO can be dangerous for both investors and project founders. As a result, we get a monopoly business, which is formed by industry conditions? But this is the wrong way of the cryptocurrency.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: its all ease with crypto on: August 08, 2019, 10:55:54 AM
Well, why BTC only? Ethereum is also quite actively used.
In general, yes, there is no global adoption yet. People are conservative. It takes time to take over the world with cryptocurrencies. In addition, there is still no convenient user interface. For mass adoption, the ability to use should be as simple as using a card.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto trading based services on: August 07, 2019, 04:49:53 AM
Backtesting your trading strategy is a very useful feature. A trader should do the rest for a long time before gaining a lot of experience. Only an experienced trader can use auxiliary tools when trading.
About volatility.
Traders earn precisely because of the volatility of market assets. He who does not know how to make money will lose.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC Dominance: 66.9% on: August 05, 2019, 03:30:29 PM
This is expected. Until the current ATH Bitcoin is updated, altcoins will continue to move to the ground. But some of them will survive. Of course, many will be replaced by new ones. Therefore, we need to monitor the market and new coins. And these new altcoins will be bought by new investors. These will be big rises.
I think that the time will come when an increase in the dominance of BTC will cause a drop in dominance. Due to survivors and new alts. Bitcoin is a kind of hostage to the situation.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low marketcap gems with huge potential? on: July 29, 2019, 03:59:48 PM
It is very difficult to identify an asset that realizes a lot of potential. To increase the chances of success, you will have to diversify, which will lead to loss of potential, because in the future you will not buy the full amount of a successful asset. In addition, now the market is not going to rise.
So, no matter how trite, and the best option - BTC or a couple of other big coins.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is the prediction of ethereum as of now? on: July 28, 2019, 01:39:42 PM
Last few days have been like a roller coaster for both eth and btc price i think the view that prices can range for the coming months is getting real but we have to wait and see i think if eth surges again and breaks 400 then 500 willnot be an issue but personally i would love to see full recovery of eth to previous highs by the end of the year.
Ethereum was at verge of falling below $200 yesterday and my guess was that it's in the price correction stage, today has seen ethereum +4.35% that's a positive trend.

Ethereum price will finally go up, but we will not see ETH for a thousand for at least  2-3 years. Now, it will be swinging between 220 and 320 dollars, which can be good for the traders that deal with large volumes of cryptocurrency. ETH price can be changed critically after Ethereum 2.0 is launched, but it will happen only in winter 2020 or even later.
I follow almost the same opinion. No matter how strong ethereum, it is still altcoin. The fundamental reasons will be able to raise the price. But the biggest impact on the price can have bitcoin, when it exceeds the current ATH.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I would move for security if it’s really better on: July 25, 2019, 01:08:06 PM
Again this security issue. Before you deal with cryptocurrencies, you need to carefully examine how it works and what security measures. But when FOMO subordinates a newcomer, there is no time to study crypto - it's need to quickly buy something Grin.
The decentralized system requires the user to take security measures independently. And the crypto market teaches people to be more careful with their money.
If something new is invented, in order to simplify the use of cryptocurrencies while at the same time increasing security, this will attract new investors.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its time for altcoins as well on: July 24, 2019, 04:18:14 AM
All the same story: buy because it fell in price.
Until now, the Altcoins continued to fall in price. A few pumps do not have to be taken as the start of the alt season. I think that this will last a long time, so now investing in Altcoins is rather risky.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [VIDEO] - Ethereum Back To $300 ? - Technical Analysis Today News Price on: July 21, 2019, 06:26:34 AM
Yes, good, detailed analysis. But ... And again, everyone is looking at the price in $. I see only a steady downward trend against BTC. I would have no illusions.
Only when ethereum becomes a self-sufficient coin, independent of the trends of the entire market, can we be based on the dollar price.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Flag For ICO Projects That Scam Bounty Hunters on: July 17, 2019, 10:30:26 AM
Bounty hunters have little choice. They can only adapt to changes in project team rules. I think we should set up a bounty project distrust section in the forum, and let it be exposed in this section for projects that have changed the rules many times.

If you have evidence of fraud in any project, you can submit them to a special sections:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0

If bounty hunters do not get rewards or something like that, then investors are not very worried. In addition, as a rule, the bounty campaign ends approximately simultaneously with the end of the project ICO. Therefore, changes in the rules at the end will not help many investors.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can bounty hunters reclaim their respect? on: July 16, 2019, 04:18:19 PM
The market aligns the cost of labor in the crypto space. Not many here openly agree that getting 10-50K$ in equivalent for a couple of articles or a video is an adequate payment. This is a lot. But I know such cases. Bounty hunters will be respected when they perform well (this is not always the case) and will receive an appropriate payment. And of course, control. But it will not be a free environment.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink (LINK) to reach $7? on: July 15, 2019, 05:23:11 AM
Without going into fundamental details, it becomes clear that this token holds much better than many others. According to TA. We can expect growth after dump after the end of the June pump. During a big pump, it may even exceed $ 7.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING! this is very misleading on: July 13, 2019, 05:06:57 PM
The bar is obviously not properly scaled. Either is the work of some crappy web designer or outright scammy. In anycase, one should not invest in a project because the team says they have raised XYZ amount. Do not take their words for it. Ask for their contract address (most reliable proof) or other proof of funds received.
I have never seen the address of a smart contract that could display the funds raised. The support motivated the refusal by the fact that funds are collected in various types of crypto&currencies, and everything will be compiled upon completion. In addition, given the success of many ICOs, it is unlikely that anyone will want to open data on current success in fundraising.
Of course, we need to research a project. And although there is no trust the status bar, in some ICO video reviews auth refer to the success of the fundraising by this data  Wink. Do we watch a video about a researched project on YouTube Grin?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will you get in return? on: July 13, 2019, 04:46:14 PM
Of course, there are stories about how some coins have rised 1,000 times. OP obviously wants to catch such a coin and get a little rich Grin.
You should to be a realist. The probability of guessing which coin will soar is close to zero. The best way is to diversify that $100, no matter how small.
So, having a part of the portfolio in big coins, such as BTC, ETH, LTC, and a part in other coins, you can get some Xs on the next big pump.
If you want to play a game of chance, then instead of buying a single asset on the crypto, you can play the slot machine. There will be more emotions Wink.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUYBACK TOKENS SOLVES DUMPING on: July 13, 2019, 04:32:26 PM
Buy back is good but it does not necessarily solve dumping. It will only help stabilize the token price for a while but in a situation where all holders are planning on dumping their coin, do you really think the devs will be capable of buying all back?
It has already been said that no, they can not. And in the future it will not help to save the price of the token.
I agree with the opinion that the money raised should be used for the development of the project. In strategic terms, this will help the project asset much more than a buyback. Just investors will have to be more patient.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties sometimes are unpredictable on: July 12, 2019, 06:37:22 AM
I do not see a problem at all. Perhaps because I have never been in such a situation.
Now there is other difficulty: to find at least some promising bounty campaign. Sometimes I just don’t see good campaigns.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Significant Moves In The Altcoin Market Are Now Overdue on: July 11, 2019, 01:04:34 PM

now most likely the volatility will only increase as bitcoin is at important levels and when it reaches that lower, that upper, the volume will increase. And altcoins still remain in the background.
Yes, volatility has increased. Regardless of whether this is due to proximity to important levels or not, such price movements draw attention to BTC. Altcoins remain out of attention, which is not good.

Within this second half of the year, I expect the coin to consolidate at a certain time, and during this consolidation is virtual when all of the altcoins we can ever think of will spike to over 1000x provided they have not turn shitcoins already, and even if they had turn shitcoins, those ones will still multiply by 4x. SO people need to really get ready now for it by investing more.
Why do you think so? Most altcoins are getting cheaper. What can change this?
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creator and Developer Gone on: July 10, 2019, 01:56:36 PM
Ha, many projects are waiting for just such a fate. Moreover, developers leave for completely different reasons.
The problem of a crypto startups is completely in a different plane: greed and treachery.
Discussed in this topic is not a problem, IMO, as there is always a team of several people. This has already been said above.
