So, as stated before, and the others have proven... Estimated values, are just estimates, even by a "regulatory board". (Regulatory boards use closed-loops, which are "perfect world" constants.) Saying it gets 34MPG and then it actually gets 42MPG would also be a "lie", so that german car defense is moot, and untrue BS. (I am sure a few cars are under-estimated, but not all german cars even have that information.)

But anyways, you are complaining about a few watts, on specs that were an estimate, for a machine that didn't exist at the time, and is just being "made" now. Is that how you buy cars... You bitch about not getting 45MPG, because you only got 38MPG. And you have refused a good deal on a car, because you KNOW it will never get that MPG, at the speeds you want to drive it at.
Ignoramus at its best...

German car companies get their values by driving the cars.  American car companies get their values via a hooked up computer to simulate a driver....
I have never seen a driver said "LOOK I am doing 42 MPG but should be getting 34 MPG. This company is a liar."
and therefore, I never have seen a miner complain about getting better hashing numbers than what the company reports.  You always hear about people getting speeds under the values reported.

If you have to make a song and dance over stupidity, please consider working @ Walmart.  Stupidity at its best there.

42  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT 128ghs not on schedule: NO tracking number today and can't log on site. on: December 24, 2013, 05:46:23 AM
Well so far,
I sent multiple emails for my tracking number.
None has been sent to me.
No confirmation of unit being sent.
Can't log in into AMT user site, says my password is incorrect.
Tried to reset password, page goes into an endless referral loop. (Tried IE, Chrome, Firefox)
I still have faith that they will do what is necessary to get back in touch with me in the coming days.... If I don't hear from them by 27th, but see them posting here will mean only one thing....

Those who have placed your orders with AMT, please verify your account to see if they are working and report back here... cause it is illogical why my account should not be working... I use a password safe and never changed it.

Well some good news... "Hey, we're working on it, and should have it shipped out tomorrow hopefully.  All the best"

I will be happy to see it at my house... soon. Once I get it, I will post pics of the unit and how it functions.  Having that sliver, albeit brief communique, helps reassure the customers...

Thank you for the update AMT.
43  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 24, 2013, 05:39:00 AM
Thus, like I said... like every MFG does... They state perfect-world estimated ranges. 40MPG Hwy - 32MPG City, but it never gets that, ever...
This could be true for American Car companies... but German Car Companies use real world testing... When Volkswagen said their TDIs get 55MPG, I can get that and even more... so never say never.

AntMiners. Price is just slightly over AMT's price for the 1.2 TH miner. Paying for multiple pieces of hardware at the same price of a single piece of hardware isn't a bad investment when you can get your stuff within a week. In my case, it's very tempting considering my order through AMT is two weeks behind the time they told me it would ship.

Seems like a lot of DIY work, and power-hungry. Can't find any place that sells them, or any specs other than the forums, which shows 100Ghs-300Ghs (overclocked to near-death, and the 300Ghs seems to be two units, not one. So, 200GHs OCed to 300GHs? With 500-800+ Watts of power consumption.). Though, they are still erupter-blades, just on custom boards. Needs power-supply, lots of configuration to get it just to function, and I see mention of failures with no mention of "reimbursement".

However, that does seem like a viable alternative to the wait. I prefer to wait. As tempting as those look at the moment, to me. Tongue (They do look tempting.)

Power consumption is negligible when it comes to getting a jump on things. You'd make your expenses back in less than a day of mining. Though, it is a lot of power to equal what the AMT 1.2TH is rated at (which, by the way, is extremely off somewhere... it seems like it would use a lot more power than what they quote), but you need to remember... the 1.2TH miners from AMT aren't shipping until February anyway. So is it worth it? Probably so, yes.
Another option is that they don't overclock and put in more miners into the system.  This way they run cooler and use less watts.  Ever thought of that?

Everyone who ordered an AMT80ghs, AMT128ghs, or AMT192ghs, please post your order number here.
Order #803 AMT 128ghs.
Was suppose to ship on the 21st December but since that was on Saturday, I will wait until Monday to call for my tracking number.
Once I got it, I will post some pics of it here.

I hope these estimates are right... since tag was taken out and we should have not been mining them....  Unless it got fixed already and we continued mining them...

LTC is at $27   Is it not a no brain'er that right now it is MUCH more profitable to mine LTC then mine on HashCow???
Might be better, LTC is no joke ATM. The cows be sad if anyone leaves but we understand! Smiley
Just think of all the money you have made if you have been keeping you're coins!
or how about adding LTC into the mix?

Have You tried other versions of Catalyst drivers? And some older CGminer can help as well - I am still using 2.11 on my two rigs, because everything above 3.X I´ve tried sucks..
I am using BAMT 1.1 so it is older drivers I am using.

These shitty cards are amazing... With any other settings I get from my 7970 more than 540 KH/s (but no where near 700 KH/s), with your exact settings I get 413 KH/s. Fucking unbelievable...  Angry
are you @ 0.962 volts?

Hmm,  this is frustrating me.  If anyone has any insight on what could be going on,  that would be great.

EDIT:  Figured that I would post up my most recent config:
(I know gpudyninterval does not do anything for me,  I just haven't deleted it )
Yes, I do... You are running Winblowz.  Therefore, you are stuck with an max intensity of 13 and not 14-20.

Try BAMT and see your results.

As an example, I get speeds from 640-730kh/sec on my 7950 and one 7970.

BTW: Go Sapphire all the way.  Solid as a rock at 0.962v and getting 730kh/sec out of it.

> Not that I'm a big fan of Windows,  but I'm still resistant to trying to deal with linux at the moment,  since I really don't know anything about it.

BAMT is easy to run.. Just put on USB and Boot up... goto the file manager, edit the cgminer.conf file to your settings and off you go.
can't get simpler than that.

> Can't say that I agree with you on anyone being stuck at I:13 because of windows.  From what I understand, that's usually due to running an sha-256 kernel.   Perhaps I am mistaken.  I'm running a scrypt kernel since I am mining scrypt,  which allows me to go to I:20 with stock versions of cgminer.
Changing from I:13 to anything higher will definitely show an increase in hashrate on my system. I can crank them up to I:20 and get 650 a card,  but temps, stales and rejects seem to go up and my WU-to-hashrate percentage is lower as compared to I:18.

Windows itself has the limitations/shortfalls.  I can set SHA256 to I 20 but get low hash rates.  First, find your I level you get most with, then tune your settings then retune the Intensity again to see which works best again.

Damn all the ALT Coins just shot up like 500-5000%.  I really hope we have been mining them...
Please start adding htem back in... ANC up to almost 0.003, GLD up to 0.001, and a shit load more... just check the exchanges now.

instead of this setup:

Round #   Coin   Length   Mature Blocks   Mature Coins   Immature Blocks   Immature Coins   Coins Paid Out   Coins for Auto-Trade   My Est. Earnings

3326      ANC              0                 0                 21                       105.9                   0                      0            0.000003000

could we get same setup basically EXCEPT have what we actually mined  or maybe just add in 1 column with how many shares we mined(setup example in Red).

Round #   Coin   Length   Mature Blocks   Mature Coins   Immature Blocks   Immature Coins   Coins Paid Out   Coins for Auto-Trade   My Est. Earnings    My Shares Mined

3326      ANC              0                 0                 21                       105.9                   0                      0            0.000003000                    10

I have a request for a modification to the user ledger.
When I choose to keep a coin and not auto-trade it, this will flood my user ledger because there will be an entry for every time a block is confirmed for that coin. Since the user ledger is only one page and I can not go to older pages, I lose all my transaction history this way.
I would like to see that the user ledger would be separated for every coin (to be selected by tabs or by a pulldown box).
Also it would be a good idea to put all earnings of 1 round into 1 line, not per confirmed block, or have the possibility to see older transactions that are not on the page.

Any New news regarding these possible changes to website? With some of these fast coins that 1 page disappears quickly.

I would like to see the changes too.

I'm wondering about the TAG coin maturity time.  I noticed that they fell off of the "past round pool stats" ledger before they matured,  and wanted to know how long it takes for us to get credit for TAG coin.

Also,  I had a couple of questions in regards to TAG and rig stability. Have you heard of any reports of it causing problems?  I had a hard lockup on Friday night and pretty sure that the round was on TAG when it happened,  although I didn't actually record any info,  figuring that perhaps I needed to lower intensity.
So I lowered my intensity from 19 to 18 to see if that would happen again or not. (And also to see if it would reduce stales at the same time.) I made no other changes to the config.

Are you using a BAMT or Linux setup?  FYI, consider using BAMT, putting the machine headless or attach a monitor but don't use it and leave intensity @ 20 for all cards.  Use RDP to remote into the PC and it will perform much faster.  If you use the monitor for output, your intensity needs to be lowered to 18 or less to gain some control back on the screen.  Using RDP, Intensity can stay @ 20 and screen refresh is still fast since it is not going over the vid card.
