Due to not have a grasp of technology I would struggle to put a photo on this forum but I have been taught how to do that on ebay so plenty of photos with the listing

Never heard of escrow-ing so prob no good for me,

One other thing I would love to ask is how do I prove to the buyer this is real ?
I think iv learnt that the visible number on the outside can prove it , but how ? Is there a web site for this ?

Thanks

45  Economy / Collectibles / Physical Bitcoin Auction ends Friday - CASASCIUS on ebay on: December 06, 2017, 05:42:44 PM
hello

The coin is - a Physical, CASASCIUS, loaded 2013
I am sell in ebay auction
(Auction ends 08 Dec, 2017 21:13:28 GMT)

I am told the coin is pre fork so therefore worth more than just 1 bitcoin.

According to this link -

https://coinfirm.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/The-CoinFIRM-Casascius-Guide-v0.11-4.pdf

Only 7726 of this type of unopened physical coin are left in the world .

Consequently I have been told that this particular coin could have been sold for up to 3 times its face value due to massive collectors interest, this would equate to tens of thousands of pounds “crazy”
All I know is the current bid is at 5 thousand and this seems good to me.

I honestly know nothing about bitcoin.
I happened to attend a promotional event at the london O2 years ago and purchased this coin, its been in a draw ever since.
Only since I put it up for auction have I been starting to learn about this stuff.

I am new here I only found this forum a few days ago and I have been chatting on a different thread when one of your fine members giving me advice suggested people on this thread may have an idea of value ?

Would anybody here have an idea of its worth due to its collect-ability ?

I only ask out of interest now because I feel a bit of an idiot selling it on ebay , When it sells I would like to be able to work out how big an old idiot I really am, in cash terms :-)

thanks
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will my Casascius sell for on ebay – any idea ? on: December 06, 2017, 11:47:32 AM
simplejg  , Thank You - The one thing I am certain of is – I could never say you are wrong, I no very little about all of this. I only asked because iv had ebay messages to say it has extra value because of collect-ability.
Anyway I guess I will find out for sure in a couple of days when the auction ends

Soros Shorts  ,Hi, It is a one bitcoin by cascascius 2013

gentlemand  Thanks , That thread you suggest would seem to be the better place to ask such questions,
Sorry, I am new to forums  :-/
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will my Casascius sell for on ebay – any idea ? on: December 06, 2017, 02:00:37 AM
I only asked the question above because some messages I recived in ebay said my coin sale is artefact and could be worth 2 or 3 times its face value ?
It all seems unlikely and far fetch to me but perhaps somebody here knows better ?
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What will my Casascius sell for on ebay – any idea ? on: December 05, 2017, 08:18:14 PM

Its up to 5 thousand at the moment but people keep offering me more to stop the auction.

Can anybody tell me what I should realistically expect it to sell for  Please?

It is a 2013 physical fully loaded
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I don't really know what to expect ?

Thank you

50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My physical coin auction. Questions - pre hard fork - safety ? on: December 04, 2017, 04:12:21 PM
hello again
I have posted here once before and I  really do thank some of your wonderful members for helping me last time.
This is my second post

I am selling a physical coin by auction on ebay and I am getting many many messages / questions that I am just not qualified to answer because I am a bit coin ignorant.

1. Some people ask me to tell them the code number on the back of the coin.
If I do this is it safe ? or could it then be robbed ?

2,  Some people tell me I have a “pre hard fork coin” and as such it is worth lots more money.
I do not know what pre hard fork is, So is this true  ?
If so should I mention this fact in the sale as it still has over 4 days to run?

Thanks in advance to any of you who can advise me.
I honesty don't have a clue about any of this due to being old and technology dim :-(

gentlemand
You do give good advice I know,
But as said I am old and technology thick :-(
I couldn't work out how to sell on here,  I really am a dinosaur.
So I went with ebay only because it is one the the things I have been taught how to use on this world wide wired place.

But thanks for your heads up to the pitfalls

Hello again
I have decided to go the ebay auction route and it is now listed under this heading ->

Bitcoin physical, Genuine loaded CASASCIUS, BTC

I put it on for under 5

Auction will end on (08 Dec, 2017 21:13:28 GMT)
    Spread the word :-)

I must say until yesterday I had never heard of this forum and Im amazed at how busy it is here , Wow !.
You all seem to know your stuff.
I may have to post another question soon,
I may have a little job for somebody,
Because I am a old man technology thick bloke, Perhaps I should offer to pay somebody to help sell my other not physical bitcoin and litecoins,
I should imagine one of your members is local to me - loughton IG10.

Anyhow,,  I will think about that and probably offer it up in a day or so.

Thank you all again for helping me

Thank you all so much for your kind advice.
I will consider all this further tomorrow.

The coin I have is 2013 btc and the holographic part with code may be a sticker, im not about to pick it and see :-)
Its not a gold or silver btc I do have a silver oz btc but im under the impression this is just a silver oz representation of a coin .

Anyway I really appreciate your help . thank you

Hello
Sorry to just pop in with a question.
Can anybody advise me on how to sell a physical bitcoin, Im not good with technology and know very little about cripto but I did buy various things years ago as an investment including this physical from a kieser report event in london.
I have heard that the physical coin has become very collectable now but anyhow I want to sell. I live in the london essex area.
Thanks in advance and I will look back here later today
