41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: September 08, 2015, 04:34:25 AM
Which exchanges do we expect to integrate Factoids first?

Some are available now at www.dcxtx.com

Do you have an order book?  How much volume has been done in the last 24 hours?

Not much volume as most people do not have a wallet yet.  No order book.  This is a two party transaction between our automated wallets and our users.  It is also only available in states that do not currently consider it money transmittal (in writing from the state department of banking).

For every 50 sold (by wallet inventory), the price automatically raises by 0.001.  As we secure more, the price will go down.  This is subject to change with no notice.  That is just how it is right now.  There is also a floor (at the moment ) of 0.02 BTC.   When there is a broader market, it will switch to the way me price all of the others we handle. We will look at the exchanges and current cost of our inventory.  Right now, we are looking for it to settle at a price.

How many have you sold?

If you're looking to secure more, I have some for sale (and the tx software installed).  What is your bid price?

moving to a private message.  No reason to haggle in public.

If anyone else would like to sell, pm me or one of the contact email addresses on the site.

can we have a step by step guide on windows wallet how to?
 Embarrassed

Work in progress, the team is working on binaries which should make it easier for people to use the wallet.
Shouldn't be much longer and there will be a step by step guide.

Are we expecting exchanges to integrate Factoids any time?

With the current software exchanges as well as anyone else is free to work with Factoids.
It' up to the exchanges to implement our latest code and support Factoids.
We have had interest from Cryptsy and ShapeShift and a number of other exchanges but we don't have control on when they decide to support Factoids.
It's entirely up to them.

For the moment: http://www.dcxtx.com/ allows you to buy Factoids and Entry Credits as well as selling them: https://www.dcxtx.com/PriceList.aspx.

Wow they are selling at 0.0202?  That's a bit silly.

Yeah, why it is so cheap?

If everyone (buying) considers .0202 BTC cheap, we are certainly willing to raise the price.  There is no current market to use to estimate price.  That .0202 will also slowly increase or decrease by the volume available in our hot wallets.

So has the Factom blockchain launched yet? It is possible to buy Factoids publicly yet?

Depending on where you live, you can buy factoids and entry credits at www.dcxtx.com

We currently serve 14 states

We are expanding coverage by state.  If you are not in one of our states, let us know where you are.  State specific interest in our service lets us apply effort where it is most wanted.

You will still need a wallet.  The factom wallet on github does work.  That is how we have it available.

Thank you Alanx,

You jumped in while I was resetting my password (and getting distracted) and did a better job of replying than I would have.

I do not work at Factom.  I plan on running one of the early federated servers.  If you are interested in what they are doing, they are open source like most other companies in the block chain space.   Github.

That being said, depending on your residence, you can get some of them (factoid and entry credits) on our web site.  You will need to get a wallet working or wait for the exchanges to do it for you.

60  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there any RISK FREE way to invest your Bitcoins? on: April 26, 2015, 04:54:40 PM
Hi guys i just wanna know is there any risk free way to invest bitcoins so they guaranteed grow
It doesn't matter if interest is low but just want to know if there is some place or site in which we invest bitcoins and our bitcoins are secured and we get guaranteed interest(doesn't matter if low)
please help i am newbie in this Smiley

First, there is always risk.  No Risk=No Reward.

Second,  I will assume that you mean getting interest in bitcoin, on bitcoin because there is no controlling the fiat price.

I personally like arbitrage.  There is still risk though because whatever you are arbitraging, you still need to hold for a while.  There is the risk.  A well run lending (service/process/club) would be the safest assuming they are a well run, legitimate group (company, whetever).   If those aren't out there yet, they are being built as we speak.
