41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: - Why I'm NOT selling my Ripple XRP ❤️ on: December 29, 2017, 02:54:19 PM
I offloaded my XRP today. Will buy back in when it drops again. I like to think of XRP as the "somewhat" stable currency of the crypto world.

Cointed, and the whole team behind it wants to wish you all a merry crypto Christmas! May you all have the best of luck!

Merry Cryptmas Cointed. I took part in your ICO and look forward to the future plans (unfortunately I don't have 20 ETH to get the card though!).

Enjoy NSGminer v0.9.4 Xmas Edition. Should be a little bit faster on most AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.

NSGminer v0.9.4: The Fastest NeoScrypt GPU Miner

Thank you kind Sir! Merry Xmas!

Good luck with your project. I appreciate that you are trying to assist everyone in the recent ParityTech debacle. Great idea.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee just tweeted about Reddcoin (RDD) right? on: December 24, 2017, 10:01:51 PM

It means you won't sell them till 2018 at its peak? great lets see whats gonna happen. me too holding this coin since long time, many people didn't believe in this coin and advised me to sell them asap. but I did hold.Hopefully looking forward RDD to go up in significant satoshis.
By the way, What is POSV Model? can you please explain ?

Proof of Stake velocity (aside from the below you can also read this page) - the below is from the paper accessed from reddit reddcoin page.

Proof-of-Stake-Velocity (PoSV) is a new algorithm designed by Reddcoin core team to replace
Proof-of-Work (PoW) as the mechanism to verify transactions and create blocks. It encourages
both ownership (Stake) and activity (Velocity). To increase your chance of finding a valid block
and receive block rewards, instead of buying GPU or ASIC for more hash power, you just need to
have a bigger holding of Reddcoins and keep your wallet running and connected to Internet to
participate.
PoSV minting, the counterpart to PoW mining, requires little computing power or energy and can
be done on CPUs of PCs, laptops and even mobile devices. Every Reddcoin user will automatically
become a PoSV minter.

I bought a whole bunch yesterday and the day before for HODLing. Quite fortunate that the coin now gets this attention. I could sneak off with quick gains but I have faith in the coin for 2018. Plus I like the POSV model.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is coinbase still reliable? on: December 24, 2017, 05:13:16 PM
They're not the worst but they are terrible. Their systems always shutdown during critical periods for investors. Their customer service is terrible and they are absolutely conducting insider trading from the BCASH situation.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: December 24, 2017, 04:59:00 PM
I too would be interested to know what stats you've been getting from the improved hash rates.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REDDCOIN on: December 22, 2017, 07:13:57 PM
If it goes to $1. I'm buying a lambo. Unlikely. It'd have to see promotion like Verge received recently to reach that level.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Verge Dying? on: December 21, 2017, 09:56:13 PM
I wanna kill myself. Undecided

Try not to let it get to you. We've all missed big trades and held when we should've sold. It's all part of the game.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: December 21, 2017, 09:01:17 PM
Tell me, why does the coin grow? I do not see any news.

in my humble opinion.

Feathercoin Pros:
- ASIC resistant (only GPU and CPU mineable)
- one of the oldest coins on the market, making it's block chain quite secure
- Bushstar - The creator and founder of Feathercoin is back on board with the team and will start FTC development in Jan 2018
- ZERO Pre-mine
- near instant transactions with near 0 fees. (transactions are usually free)

What's planned for the coming year:

- Check Lock Time Verify
- SegWit
- Lightning Network
- Decentralized exchanges

Feathercoin is primed and ready to sky rocket in 2018.

This is all good news. Can't wait for 2018!
53  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's your record for Kraken holding your transfers? on: December 18, 2017, 09:36:14 AM
Day 21. Deposit was released and my last Kraken crypto holdings have been withdrawn. That's it for me. I'm done with Kraken! Good luck to the rest of you still stuck in limbo!

Good to hear it eventually got resolved!
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Mine? Can I mine? Helllllllllllp on: December 17, 2017, 08:57:27 PM
As mentioned before, if you get free power and the gear is just laying around. Of course you should be mining!

Getting into mining is a great education journey as well. Use the experience to learn about the different algorithms and the challenges and benefits of mining different coins.

Just make sure to stick to downloading mining software from github!

Enjoy the education. It's all a journey.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: December 17, 2017, 07:16:27 PM

I have FTC, think its good.. its always so funny, no matter what ANN thread you go into everyone says their coin will moon... makes me laugh everytime I see the statement.

Especially when there's zero reasoning other than hope!
56  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Net Neutrality on: December 17, 2017, 03:19:07 PM
I look to the US passing this and cringe that the rest of the world is going to try and follow them. Fcuk the media companies and their bullshit.
57  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's your record for Kraken holding your transfers? on: December 17, 2017, 10:21:29 AM
Hardware is better for security. But paper is free!
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Verge Dying? on: December 17, 2017, 10:18:25 AM
By fluke I bought a bunch at 52. I still can't believe my eyes when every morning the pump just keeps going!
59  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BEST ANDROID BITCOIN WALLET ? on: December 16, 2017, 10:52:24 AM
Is it better then Coinbase?

Coinbase isn't a wallet. It's an app to interact with the exchange.

I have used quite a few mentioned here (Mycelium, Breadwallet, Blockchain). I personally recommend Copay. They have a very simple to use interface and are great for new users.

Mycelium is also good for more advanced users as it has more functionality. Breadwallet is ok too. I found Blockchain annoying as I had to have network connectivity to see my balance etc. This was frustrating if I was on a plane (or somewhere without network connectivity) and wanted to double check the size of a recent transaction or my current balance.
60  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's your record for Kraken holding your transfers? on: December 16, 2017, 10:27:46 AM
My suggestion would be to get verified with the exchanges first then transfer funds/coins in. That way they can't use the "you're not verified" excuse to lock up your funds.

Though I've now since moved to ATMs to my paper wallet personally. Then I can always shapeshift to other coins if needed.
