I am worried about the vote count in xiphos exchange.  Many participate for free airdrop but we only have few votes. There are lazy people who don't deserve the airdrop.  And I have a suggestion, What if we need to get the vote/s mandatory per Airdrop or a 1 original tweet per week (with a hashtag) and they can use the graphics from #theme-giveaway if they want.   What is the purpose of the #theme-giveaway channel if other people do not particularly benefit from it. Suggestion only, What do you think?  I was unable to vote today. I'm getting "page can not be displayed" This is the second time this week I've faced this issue. It worked earlier in the day, but my 24 hours wasn't up yet. I'm going to give it another try again before I go to bed though, so, fingers crossed. I like your idea about the original tweet, especially since we aren't commenting on the retweets. Either that, or allow comment on one of the retweets. There are so many comments on them already, but none by the airdrop participants, which is kinda a shame since we are in the best position to make constructive and positive comments. The error you encountered "Page cannot be displayed" while trying to access the site has been same with many people today. Try and do either or both of the following to resolve it; 1. clear your browser cache or 2. restart your PC. I guess that will fix it for you. Yeah, that didn't do it for me. I appreciate the idea though. The message actually is saying "Unable to connect" at this point. I dunno what the issue is. I even tried a second computer. I just hope that it's the same for everyone, then we won't be losing any ground. The other day when this happened, it started working again by morning, so hopefully that's the case here as well. very good news! can't wait for tomorrow to read the white paper  hope it gets a good insight on what you have planned for the future of PRiVCY! I have great faith that you'll be happy. The team has exceeded expectations every step of the way so far. Of course this is a living project with creative minds and fluid ideas, but having a baseline for technical specifications should be a great way to build trust with newcomers who haven't been around to see all the hard work and development we've experienced so far. For all the traders out there, I would like to recommend it to stake your PRIV coins in your wallet and avoid long time deposits in any exchange site for safe method since we cannot control those exchange markets if somethings wrong with it. I hope anyone will take precautions and doing the trade safe practices since there's other markets scammed traders funds by exits (CoinsMarkets & OctaEx for example). Another safe measures (sending funds from wallet to market) is using the PRIV faucet ( http://faucet.privcy.io) in your personal deposit wallet from markets to test if the deposits will succeed or not. I don't know if your idea about the faucet will work. Most exchanges have a minimum transaction amount, and that may skew the results of your tests. No great loss to just send 1 Privcy though, and if you've checked into the exchange at all, you PROBABLY wouldn't even lose it. I'm sticking with Crex untill we have a legitimate option. I've heard about zero good things about bitebtc, so, I'm fine with Crex for now untill there is a viable option that has at least similar if not higher volume and prices. |

Unsure what they are up to over there at bitebtc. More then one something doesn't seem right with them. I've already spoken to the developer of sonox however, and he seems like a good guy, genuine, and seems like he's really excited to open his doors and get going, so I'm quite excited for their exchange to start doing business. I think there is not any way to check the details you have entered. I'm convinced there is almost no chance to get it filled wrong but I get your doubts. Still, if you are worried about it I would contact a mod on Discord, but I think it's not necessary as it will probably be filled right. There's going to be a list of airdrop registrations released soon. Keep checking on the Discord server, and it should be posted as a pinned message soon. Everyone also remember to re-tweet all the official tweets this week, as well because it's a mandatory airdrop requirement. I hate to see people skipped because of an oversight, so keep checking the Discord in case there are any changes, or important announcements. It's no fun being the last to know. |

Hello guys and gals. I’ve been reading people’s opinions of the whitepaper. Some of you can’t wait, some of you don’t care, some of you think that most whitepapers are just copied words. Well here is my personal opinion for anyone who wants to read it. I love reading the whitepaper of a project, true some whitepapers don’t mean a whole lot, but I like to see what the platform is all about. All the details. I truly believe in PRiVCY Coin and what they’ve accomplished so far. I am pumped to read it. Many of you have questions that will be answered from the PRiVCY whitepaper. Think about this, PRiVCY already got listed on cmc, a couple exchanges, growing community by the day, and a huge parntnership with a legendary band. This has all been done without a whitepaper. Now just imagine what more can be done once the whitepaper is released. By the way there are more things in the making and being explored.
My feeling on the Whitepaper is that while most people will never read it, the fact that it exists is important to a large subgroup, and will be crucial for larger adoption. It will be a major selling point when we get onto a larger exchange. Many investors find it important, so it's important to all investors, weather they THINK it's important or not. How many times have we heard "When will the Whitepaper be released?"? Soon that will be a fading memory, and we can concentrate on other issues at hand. |

Too bad because of that they possibly missed 10-11 rounds of airdrops already before something finally sparked their interest. Some people arent that quick to pick up on the potential of a coin and its community. More partnerships, more ecommerce options, enhanced privacy features... keep the good news coming boss! Have you seen price, investors do not participate in airdrops, with current price I think they will be more interested in buying million coins then to get free 10K. With few BTC you can buy 50x times more then to get for free. 10K coins will not make you richer then 1 million coins Have you seen the amount of investors that we have participating in the airdrop? Mostly EVERYONE over 5k coins currently has invested into PRIVCY. We have well over 250 users that have 5k+ priv and are participating. This does not include all those who are above 10k or more. None of them got there by just the airdrops. Many investors who are smart invest into airdrops, especially ones that reward investors and hodlers The price is only currently low because people get free coins distributed to them and sell them off as they were worthless. Thats their mistake! Indeed, so our beloved Airdrop holders, its a great time to buy your stack up to 5K with the AD11 holder multiplier coming up! Only 44 hours untill the deadline and balance snapshot! It's just a shame we are not on a good exchange yet like kucoin. I hate moving btc, and I hate leaving coin on these small exchanges. All good things in all good time. Remember this coin is not even 3 months old yet. Rome wasn't built in a day. You should look at this time period as an opportunity, not as an obstacle. Yes, it will be awesome when we get onto more and bigger exchanges, but by then the price will become much more prohibitive. Crex 24 is a really good exchange for what it is. There is no KYC, and they have alot of other coins they support as well. I'm grateful to Privcy for introducing them to me. I mine using Scrypt miners, using Multipool which mines the most profitable coin at the time, and 80% of them can be deposited at Crex so I can in turn sell them to buy Privcy. For the time being, it's a great arrangement, and I'm happy with where we're at. |

All these asics are going to crank up the difficulty until ETH mining is sitting at the bottom of the charts than everyone who spent money on these asics will cry well stop supporting asics manufactures
As many others have been saying throughout this thread - PoS (Proof of Stake) is coming! I realize the Ethereum team is WAY behind schedule when it comes to implementing any type of PoS protocol, however, this is much more complicated than most people realize. Regardless, the PoS implementation will happen slowly over time, and PoW will not just be suddenly switched off one day. In Vitalik’s Casper the Friendly Finality Gadget (FFG) project, PoS implementation would be slowly transitioned into Ethereum mining over time, while reducing PoW mining rewards until they ultimately reach zero. To keep on topic, PoW Ethereum mining is not going away anytime soon in my opinion. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to purchase the first batch Antminer E3 for $800 USD some time ago, and although I don't care for the manufacturer, I have been happy with the product and results. Compared to my six 8GB NVIDIA GeForce 1070Ti GPU rigs, the Antminer E3 is currently the much less expensive and overall better choice to mine Ethereum (although the resale value will ultimately diminish, the ROI time is ~5-6 times less). I am in favor of GPU/CPU mining vs ASIC mining, but the opportunity to purchase ~190 MH/s of stable Ethereum mining that uses ~800 Watts of power for $800 USD is a very sharp double edged sword! Although very limited and not at all versatile when compared to the mineable asset options of a GPU, these ASIC miners can mine other assets as well. In summary, building a huge Ethereum ASIC mining farm is certainly not the best idea for most, purchasing a few of these miners might not be such a bad idea for some.. Yeah, I agree, POS will be the way of the future, BUT, we are in the present right now, not the future, so what I try to do is pick hybrid coins with both POW, and POS, that way as the difficulty gets higher and the electric costs begin to approach the proceeds from mining, the staking rewards come in and start to offset the diminishing mining rewards. Of course sometimes it's a better deal to mine some other non-POS coin and sell them to buy the one you really want, but as far as HODL coins, POS is the winner. (With some obvious exceptions) So far so good anyways. |
