It's altcoin bargain hunting at the moment. And there are some really good mid term value coins out there. Buy bags friends. And hodl for a couple of months at least.

I think that the approach to building community through airdrops and effectively proof of participation over 6-12 months will work. It gives the coin and community enough time to grow. The roadmap looks amazing so if we can all build this together then it will be worth sticking around.

I suspect there will be alot of coins that aren't currently in the top 10 that are dominant in the next 5 years. Just looks at what was dominant in 2013 - how many of those do you recognise:

So best bet is to go for platform/ infrastructure coins that have good real work applicability and industry support. it's just like the dot com period.

The flippening! I think we'll see alot of emergence in 2018 of non ETH coins. So coins built on new blockchains like NEO, Aeternity, Ardor. Chains with less bloat and more efficiency. Hard to predict what they'll be. But in a years time we'll be looking back and it won't just be the ER20 coins that have done well. Look outside of the obvious.

I'm a huge fan of privacy coins... but it seems alot of them don't ICO. They just quietly emerge from pre-mining. I didn't realise Cardano had a privacy model? Is that legit or is it just a swiss army knife kind of coin??

I'm hoping this too. It's a really good project and I invested. It's difficult to figure out though whether a good project will end up being a 'good ICO' - I guess alot of it depends on your investment criteria. Like this will probably take a year to reach its full value - but great medium - long term potential for the crypto adoption market.

Market is still pretty volatile. Figure out a way to enter. You already know what you want, so figure out an entry price and then you can set buy orders so you get things at the price you want. It's a perfect market for buying in. don't forget to spread your risk a little. There's alot of speculation there. I guess you are already balanced by ETH, BTC and NEO. If you weren't I'd suggest balancing at least 30-40% of your portfolio with those.

Smartcash is an amazing team and community. The inflated price was due to some arbitrage around a wallet upgrade that saw 60% of total holdings locked into cryptopia for six months. It's a solid staking coins where you get ~5% compounding interest paid every month. Look past the comments above and do your own research.

Seems a little vague. More detail about the economic model would be useful. What kind of ROI on POS. Is it pure staking or masternode?

There are alot of recent ICOs that are currently selling for under the ICO price. It's a combo of over-hype and the broader market crashing. Probably a healthy correction for ICOs I think.

There are so many of these masternode scams out there now. Be careful peeps.

Hi all, just discovered 808 and about to jump down the rabbithole. Is the higher investment - eg 5-10m just to kick off the staking process? Or does it effect the frequency of drops as well, once the coin is staking?

Alot of people who have been hodling since ICO are probably taking the opportunity to take some profit, hence the massive sell wall on binance. Price should stablise over next few days. Great to see Aeternity getting some recognition.

If the community sees more value than the founders then that's what will determine price. I really like DOGE for the perversity of holding bags in it. Having said that I did offload my bags a while ago so missing out now.

Depends on what you're looking for. NEO is building the foundation for a whole ecosystem. It's more centralised than ETH but has a really interesting ecosystem building around it. It will remain strong in use and value. May not mimic ETHs value rise though.
