41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 14 banks transact bitcoins on: July 11, 2018, 06:33:53 AM
14 banks in the Philippines now recognize and transect bitcoins.
What about in yours?

Philippines are getting better and better in relation crypto, I really appreciate that. I'm kind of surprised to be frank, I had an impression that regime the president set there was real autocracy.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree that Bitcoin is nearly to be just like another business? on: July 11, 2018, 06:32:46 AM
More than 50,000 U.S. merchants already accept bitcoin, and you may soon fall behind your competitors if you don’t have a plan for dealing with cryptocurrencies.
Over the short term, it means getting educated about the technology and adapting some business processes. Over the long term, it offers increased simplicity, greater efficiency and lower costs.

right now it doesn't mean falling behind, because not many people are willing to spend it. It takes literally no time to start accepting crypto with services like bitpay, so you don't really get to be too late. It's not some R&D stuff that takes year
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to find the best bounty campaign on: July 10, 2018, 02:53:59 PM
Iam in a hunt for best bounty and airdrop campaigns. I have searched many sites but not got any idea on them. I have come accross many posts in bitcointalk thread but not got where to get a good bounty.

you can search bounty section on this forum, you will find hundreds of bounty campaigns there. If you're serious about making living of bounty, then take the time to do a good research
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook reverses ban on cryptocurrency ads on: July 09, 2018, 07:26:30 AM
Quote
This is the Internet, people can stay anonymous.

The ironic thing here is the Facebook company operation relies on people not making themselves anonymous but basically freely giving their personal data to be marketed to by advertising across the site or just sold afaik.    So crypto or at least the anonymous part of it is contrary to that targeted data business mindset they use, Facebook really isnt free.   They did try to ban accounts without verifiable user data at one point, not sure if they are still doing this.

I am glad to learn this but even if they had upheld the ban i don't think it will make any difference on our fortunes with bitcoin since many facebook users are not crypto enthusiast and we don;'t need them to succeed since we have bitcointalk which is a bigger and better platform.

it's not about crypto enthusiasts. It's about reaching out to regular people. I honestly hope facebook will be replaced by some decentralized service that will allow people to monetize their own data directly.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people in crypto still wish the downfall of Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2018, 12:17:14 PM
One thing that really surprises me is how some new projects come into blockchain and start spreading false news and making baseless analysis that bitcoin will fail all in the name of making their own project a success. In crypto, we should accept that bitcoin is the KING and anytime bitcoin falls, all other altcoins also fall. I have read news where people were predicting that bitcoin will go back to 1k and now that bitcoin and other cryptos are down, they are changing their predictions to favour bitcoin. This all proves that their plans backfired and they are beginning to realize that when bitcoin is down, most other alts will be down. All these news we spread rather drive away investors and at the end of the day, we all lose. Why can't we unite and spread good news rather than hate one of our own?

some people probably still want to fill their bags with cheap coins before the price is in hundreds of thousand dollars instead of thousands as it's these day. I'm pretty sure that will happen soon.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 23, 2018, 01:58:54 PM
to other countries I don't know about them that bank investment gets too shortly amount but bitcoin can be rich. and Bank investment monthly get some profit to us but bitcoin more benefit to us as well

with bitcoin investments, you hold your own money. If you're using bank to invest, only one getting the profits is the bank, not the person who is using his own money there
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Opens Doors for Cryptocurrency on: June 23, 2018, 01:57:53 PM
Before this time, almost Korean investors really worried about new tax policy for cryptocurrency.
That's why all news said the government will apply 3~40%taxes for crypto at Jul~Aug.
But today, the government said we will apply 10~15%taxes for crypto like interest income tax, and it is very acceptable to all Korean investors.
Also they said we feel hard to say it will happen within this year and although will happen this year, there will be 1~2years stay period.

http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=sec&oid=023&aid=0003382087&sid1=001&lfrom=kakao

In conclusion, Crypto is accepted by government's legal property, SO MANY KOREAN INVESTORS WILL GET INTO MARKET AGAIN!

it's good that crypto will get regulated, but the problem is that there is a tax on it. For trading that might work just fine, but shold it be used as a currency, that will be a problem.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: June 23, 2018, 01:56:53 PM
Many people just complained that they wish to but Bitcoin earlier and sell at the peak price, but when they are been giving opportunities to buy at low price they will say Bitcoin is dead, you need to have clear vision and strong faith to be able to make profit in crypto.

exactly. Faith and vision are both crucial when making investments in crypto. If someone doesn't believe in blockchain, then I see no point in the investment, as he will be scared with first price drop anyway
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: June 16, 2018, 09:06:15 PM
I think it is not stupid if we already get enough profit

it's not stupid in general. It depend on the circumstances under which you're considering to sell. Stuid would be probably anything that doesn't make perfect sense, such as selling for fud
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: June 16, 2018, 09:05:25 PM
Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.
Its hard to give an specific number of people who are using bitcoin because nowadays more and more people are now believing to Bitcoin investments around the world. Well isn't a good news? More investors more money?

it's hard to tell, but it's possible to see the number of transactions, which might be even more interesting indicator than the number of people having accounts
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 16, 2018, 09:04:36 PM
We do not even know what is really going to happen in a few days frfom now and you are expecting to know what is going to happen in five years? came on

you're right, we can not know, but when it comes to tech like this, we can try to guess. If we believe in the potential of bitcoin, then it makes sense to put our efforts into it
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is going to accept crypto! on: June 15, 2018, 02:07:49 PM
Depending on how many big investors get into the crypto, but I'm grateful it's good news for cryptocurrency, I think it's the exact action of Russia because I know ICO from being far more likely than the country that has legalized cryptocurrency, hopefully it can increase the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin.

it's interesting to see that Russia plays huge part in bitcoin community. When you go and attend bitcoin conference in Europe, I can guarantee you that 50% of the attendees will be from Russia.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When did you bought bitcoin? on: June 15, 2018, 02:06:41 PM
Hey guys, when did you first bought bitcoin or ether? Did someone bought bitcoin when it was 20k$? Wink When did you first heard about crypto?

54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 08, 2018, 02:08:15 PM
Legendary investor Tim Draper is confident that in five years all will use crypto currency. According to Draper, the technological shift that we can observe now will be more significant than the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age. Answering the question about how he sees the current situation in comparison with the period when he invested in the technologies of web 1.0 and 2.0, he replied that web technologies and transformed the concept of information, while blocking has the potential to transform almost all industries, including government services.

I'm not sure if 5 years is not still too short, but yes, decentralization is already taking place thanks to blockchain and it will be only more prevailing in the years to come, as people are starting to understand it's really important.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: June 08, 2018, 02:07:02 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

I think it's something in between. But mostly it's being used as an asset, not a currency. When you check the transaction volume of bitcoin, then you see it's too small.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: June 07, 2018, 03:48:13 PM
How do everybody think when bca team is silent for GUI AUTOSWAP question? They have been silent for long time. Why?
Yes, do not waste any more time.  Not one of your posts supported the answer, the sense of writing the same thing every time

man you have been the biggest supporter of the project, now you turned to biggest critic. What about some consistency? The problem is that you people are just too emotional and have no experience with product development, which is a time consuming process if you're to deliver high quality product...
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice? on: June 03, 2018, 10:40:05 AM
1) Never sell for loss. Market is still evolving quite rapidly and there are more chances that your investment is going to increase from your buying price in due course even if it's at loss presently. A bit of patience will be fruitful later.

2) Never fall prey to FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) and FOMO (fear of moving in). Remember that old saying - grass is always greener on the other side. Do some research and keep believing in your investment.

3) Alts always seem to go down when bitcoin is swinging wildly, no matter which direction bitcoin is moving. However, they catch up pretty quickly once bitcoin stablizes. Therefore don't panic sell if you see a plunge.

4) Prices almost always tend to correct/go down after a brisk increase or all time high.

5) No-one can predict the price of a coin, so, if anyone is doing so he must be misleading. Fundamental/technical analysis can help predict the trend though.

Above all, keep faith in the almighty, and your coins will MOON one day!!

point number 4 is very valid. Most people love to follow the strategy to buy high and sell low, which is only down to their emotional decisions. Try to prevent letting emotions decide
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have mechanism to recover stolen or lost bitcoin? on: June 02, 2018, 03:24:40 PM
In case someone stole your bitcoin or you lost it, you won't be able to get it back.
Is this true?

What are your knowledges about this?

it depends, but generally speaking you won't. because if they transfer the coins from your wallet to theirs, you won't be able to access them anymore and no one can help you.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin Die because of global Regulations? on: June 02, 2018, 03:23:51 PM
Frist China want to ban all the foreign exchanges in their country.
https://www.ccn.com/china-looks-ban-centralized-cryptocurrency-trading-reports/

then France Creates Working Group for Cryptocurrency Regulation
https://cointelegraph.com/news/just-one-person-found-to-have-caused-bitcoins-jump-from-150-to-1000-in-2013

then German Central Bank Director: Crypto Regulations Must Be International
https://cointelegraph.com/news/german-central-bank-director-crypto-regulations-must-be-international

Also India already setup a board for crypto regulation.

What is happening all over the world?Something whats soul purpose is to be decentralized will eventually be centralized?

How much do you think a global regulation on crypto will affect the overall market in this year?

why is there a need to put a word die with capital D into the title? No, regulation is not going to kill crypto, it will affect it, but at the end of the day, it won't kill or make it or make it success. Only community can decide on its future.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the perfect coin? on: June 01, 2018, 05:43:39 PM
If you could make any coin, any way, with any features that you have ever heard about, what would the coin be?

it would depend on the purpose of the coin. If you money transaction coin, then it should have immediate confirmations, low volatility and large user base so it can be used in daily life
