With the price starting to creep up again do you think it's a good time to start selling some of my investments or do you think it's worth holding on for a while longer?
We all know how temperamental the market can be but do you think this is just a short term spike?
The price is creeping up and will go on like that for next 3-4 months and than we may see another dip as in ghost months. so hodl till than and see ... |

Have you ever thought about buying bitcoin for your children as a future investment?
I have never thought of such thing before but I am thinking of it now ! That is a worth taking risk, there is a fair chance that your investment of $1 today can turn into $100 or even more for your children or the next generation, and may be it becomes 0. But still a risk worth taking ! |

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.
Invest now, another dip is doubtful now as BTC is aiming for crossing over 12k and than after that a dip may happen but that dip will still be above the current prices. |

Bitcoin doesn't hold the promise it once did, explosive growth and adoption, now the only explosion in adoption is the number of segwit users. People are using the lightning network before it's ready, potentially damaging the bitcoin ecosystem.
So I ask you, what can we do to improve bitcoin adoption, reduce fees and protect bitcoin for being crushed by regulations?
Bitcoin is actually not for earning money and trading etc, its actually for quick transfer of money globally, but its slow transaction speed and high fee is a obstacle in its way which needs to be removed. Plus, to make bitcoin great again, purchase it and invest more, it will give you the anticipated return. |

Yeah, what's the easiest way to make the most BTC? I remember a pal how he made some currency to 1 BTC in an evening, something with Amazon. But I guess such things are gone.
Daytrading right now but I am not that good at it. Bots? Do I have to make my own?
There is no Easy way, or everyone would have done it. Go and purchase some, trade with it, the rest depends upon your luck, skill and 6th sense ! Good luck !!! |

First of thanks for every suggestion. I slowly over the years became a smoker. I became aware of my addiction. I tried quiting several timer, but every time I would come back to it and smoke even more.
I tried two things so far:
1. Fully stoping to smoke
2. Gradually reducing
But it backfired every time. How did you stop?
I can't quit myself too, and have planned many times and it always backfired and I started with even a higher intensity. Than I got married and promised my wife that I will never smoke in front of you. That is working well so far, I still smoke but now very much in control. |

Based on the news, bitcoin might hit $50000 by the end of 2018. Is this possible? If so, what are the reasons?
These can not be termed as 'news'. They are just some wild guess by people who invested in bitcoins and they hope for it to reach 50k or even more. they are just speculations and I too want it to reach such heights as I too invested in them but again these are just speculations not facts. Hope for the best and HODL. |

I was thinking if bitcoin will ban from every country if bitcoin will vanish one day then what will happen? I got my Answer, Without Bitcoin, my life will be so boring! Now, I spend almost 7 to 8 hours behind bitcoin and bitcointalk, I love it, I enjoy my time. But if bitcoin dies! I can't imagine  What will happen to you if bitcoin will die  (Long Life Bitcoin, We will go to the mars again very soon) Bitcoin and trading in alts have given me a new hobby, and is the best way of spending your free time, I even left other social media activities and am very occupied by the trading and observing trends. It has changed my life for good, and sometimes I earn good profits here too which is an extra bonus  |

It seems panic sell is over and bitcoin is recovering. I just want to say thanks for allowing me and others to buy bitcoin at cheaper price. Again Let this remind you to not blindly follow fake news and fud. Be strong and cool in head. I think it was a strategy built by Whales to pull in even more people into buying bitcoin so they can get to their money too, and the people already involved in it invested even more. For anyone who is panicking at the market-wide price drops, please don't! There is no reason to panic. Look long-term, don't look at price charts over the last week or month, look at them over the last year and see the pattern of rises followed by pullbacks... but the course is always upwards.
If you're new and bought in during December and now see huge losses... the worst thing you can do is sell now. Prices will increase in the long term. The current dip is just a correction to the wild excesses of last month. Don't panic!
If the prices you can see now are lower than the prices that you bought in at, then the best thing you can do is buy more. Why? This will lower your average entry price.
If you bought bitcoin at $16000 and see it now at $8000, the course of action is clear: buy the same amount at $8000, and your average entry point is no longer $16000, it's (16000+8000)/2=$12000.
Don't sell, buy!
Your formula is quiet interesting, but for buying now needs to invest more money, and on 2nd thought one may think that the money he is investing now may end up like his previous investment, so investing more may not work out for him. |

I think it is.
Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.
Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?
Bitcoin has been considered dead 7 times before in its short history, and this is its 8th serious dip. But every time it came up even stronger. So my answer is a straight NO. Keep on holding to it and hope for the best. Good Luck !! |

Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$?Yesterday bitcoin has fallen below 10,000$. Today bitcoin continues to fall deep down to 8,200$ and possibly more. I bought bitcoin at 15,000$. Who can advise me to keep or sell bitcoin at this time? Will bitcoin continue to fall to 6,000$-5,000$? what should I do? please.. It has been almost a year already since I decided to stop using facebook. Tell you what, It feels great not seeing all these showbiz personalities, the faces of these stupid politicians, the drama etc...Would you quit facebook?, just try it and I assure you of one thing and that's "Reality".
I was a really addict facebook user but since I started taking interest in cryptos, I left facebook for good and I usually login once in 2 weeks. That really saved my time and i m happy with it. |

Since I am so new to crypto currencies, I wanted to get a more educated opinion.
I invested in Ripple during it's decline. I saw a spike shortly afterwards, but it looks to have a steady decline at this point. I know it has been around for a while but is it just going to continue dropping? I realize it is all speculative but I would appreciate some insight if you have any.
Hold on to your Ripple, it will show a surprise jump in February and will not look back. Its the coin with the highest potential in it and will not disappoint you. |
