Ken, have you received the prototype back from the engineers' yet? Can we see it? Smiley

"Banks were supposed to exist to service other businesses, now banking has become far larger than any other business. It's like all other business exist to service the banks."

Boooo!!

given that 99% of businesses fail eventually, and banks are the ones to appropriate the assets, this outcome is inevitable

Very insightful. Then the solution is to socialize the banks so the public benefits.

This is really cool, thanks

I'm optimistic about IceDrill. It's basically DeadTerra's mining company. Being based in Europe makes it safe, DT has a history of making investors money. I'll be in when it launches on btct. my .02btc

When this IceDrill IPO Fails (And it more than likely will with >5M Shares left and less than 26 hours left)

There will be >3000BTC that might be put into various other securities including ActM.

Will there be a sharp price increase? Maybe!

That money will probably roll in just like the S.DICE payout, right? Should be any day now.

Has that still not happened? wow

I think he was being sarcy.  Maybe the money went into Icedrill. lol

Here is an great video posted on the Let's Talk Bitcoin! website with Adam B. Levine interveiwing Jeffrey Paul aka Sneak.

It's on topic and I would love to hear some responses to what's being discussed.

This is a cool video. But what's up with that picture? ^

From a game named "Prototype", it was a joke.

d'oh!

Where are the pictures of the prototype we were promised?
49  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 10, 2013, 01:53:11 AM
All the other bitcoin mining companies such as bASIC-MINING and ASICMINER release pictures and give updates on future performance. What makes this stock special enough that we can just believe in it without said evidence?
50  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 10, 2013, 12:46:39 AM
Ken, can we have an update on btct of the prototype hashing with pictures as well as a time schedule for future hashing deployments?

Where are the photos of the prototype hashing?

ken is running google ads for asics. would be nice if he made some report re that

That's happening for quite a while now (at least two weeks). He didn't ask for permission.

not permission- more like conversion rate, views and analytics

There is a real lack of meaningful news.

after re-reading the posts by Ken I am convinced ActM will trounce the competition. The meetings with eAsic going well and everything. eAsic is just so impressive. I see a large risk/reward ratio at the current price per share.
55  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2013, 01:33:05 AM
Only eAsic can deliver the hashing power to corner the market for us. Any idea what kind of T/hash numbers we're projecting from our chips with them?

Preliminary numbers are 16gh/chip

That's pretty good. 10,000 chips * 16 = 160,000 gh/s we could certainly hang in there with that and more on the way. I'd love to know when those are coming.

My only question would be in regard to the continued effort (as of like two posts ago) to paint ActM in a negative light. Isn't the dump over?

The dump is never over, at least not until I get ALL THE PRECIOUS ACTM SHARES!    Cool

There is nothing wrong with making money "off the backs" of less skilled, weaker speculators; that's the risk they accept for a chance at a larger reward.  Investors (IE long term speculators) are unaffected by such short term shenanigans.  All who disagree have been infected by Marxist brainwashing memes like 'profit is evil,' 'fairness is equality,' and 'property is theft.'

Free markets cannot be "manipulated."  The invisible hand is far too smart for that.  Only the State can truly manipulate markets, with its iron fists and velvet gloves.  If you don't trust free markets, the profit motive, and rational actors, what the JFC are you doing in Bitcoin, much less unregulated security trading?  If "manipulators" make you cry, simply GTFO, OK?

I drained a lot of undesirable volatility out of ACTM and the market rewarded me, because markets like stability and eschew uncertainty.  If that makes you jealous, simply GTFO and go play outside.

------------------------------[NEXT ISSUE]------------------------------

What you call a "negative light" I call 'realistic.'  My comments are easily distinguished from the true bashing, if only you had the perspective to appreciate the difference.

Be careful Mr. Noob_commentS, there is some cult-like behavior emerging on this thread.

To an extent, the lack of humor is understandable.  Many here have their life savings invested, some are German or otherwise Nordic, some are simpletons.  But humorlessness is generally a warning sign.

An additional, more significant, red flag is the Shun-the-disbeliever-apostate meme going around.  That's some 100% textbook cult shit, typical of Scientologists, Puritans, etc.

Just because I was a very early supporter of AMC does not mean I can't change, modify, or question my previous opinions/beliefs/conclusions based on new information.  Or the opportunity for a good churn-and-burn.   Wink

I told you guys I do not put up with groupthink and will strive to prevent or disrupt it, regardless of how unpopular doing so may be.

You may cry for an Authority to ban me for being contrarian, mean, and hurting your widdle feeweens, but at least I am usually honest and mostly WYSIWYG.

Especially disappointing is VE's uncharacteristic lack of insight.  He was my protege; I taught him everything about being an acerbic, smarmy, yet ultimately funny and informative metatroll but now he seems to have lost the plot and become unworthy of mimicking my shtick.

Unless the student has surpassed the master, and he's playing a long game here, I would have expected much better from him.  I hope he's about to spring an especially amusing trap, but won't get my hope up.   Tongue

/GOOD COFFEE!!!   Shocked

You got some good points there. I see there's a reason they call you iCEBREAKER!

The only thing I don't like about this manipulation is that it reduces liquidity. ActM is barely even traded anymore because people are afraid of being taken advantage of.

Liquidy has been where it should be.  During its launch to .009/share, that volume was temporarily inflated and we were to never expect that to be normal.

That's a good point
