You can celebrate when your got the package at home, until then.. that date doesnt mean much Smiley

+1

Gonna have to agree there, I've gotten assurance emails from them before.  Since august of last year.  still no product in hand. Smiley
42  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tldr: Why isn't KNC able to compete with *55nm bitfury's W/GH? on: September 13, 2013, 11:10:58 PM
The perspective is you need to chill, seems like you're taking it personally that someone thinks bitfury's design is better, which is pretty much irrelevant. KnC's are cheaper, come with a case and are pre-configured and plug and play. Obviously a better deal.

But they'll likely need to go for a full custom core to compete with other 28nm chips in the future.

One still doesn't exist though

So if that's what you're saying, why even make a thread about a non-existent chip then???
SIGH nevermind

well... he sort of does have a point.  You started the discussion comparing their supposed claimed values.  Only to point out one doesn't exist when someone gives the knc chip's advantage.  If we're gonna "stay on topic" all we can do really is hypothetically compare the two which is assumed when you started the thread... just saying.
43  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces <$3/GH January pricing and new product availability on: September 13, 2013, 06:25:56 AM
You know the saying... where there's smoke, there's fire...

I don't actually see any fire yet, but smoke is never good.  Unless it's in a smoker with some applewood.
44  Bitcoin / Mining / Pool recommendations on: September 13, 2013, 06:02:57 AM
I havn't done BTC in over a year.  I used to use BTCguild but they've closed my account due to inactivity.

Finally got an email from BFL saying my single has been shipped.  It only took a 13 months so I guess I'm considered lucky.
Anyways Im looking for any pool recommendations as I've been out of the BTC scene for a bit.  Thanks in advance.
45  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Newbie question on mining on: September 13, 2013, 05:52:32 AM
If you are referring to the individuals they are probably trying recoup hardware that will more or less be obsolete soon.

If you are referring to the small time resellers, they are just trying to sell some shovels while the gold rush still attracts some miners for a while.

If you are referring to the big companies, there is this thing called "pre-orders" where they can essentially take other people's money and get something made, then sell it back to them for more than what it cost to make, then keep the profit.
46  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Help with 5970+7970 on: September 13, 2013, 05:34:58 AM
My GPUs are digging for LTCs. These are just my experinces so yours might be different.

I had problems configuring 5xxx and 7xxx cards together.

I have a 5850 using catalyst 12.8 and sdk 2.7 running at 340 kh/s
I can run a 7950 with it no problem at 620 kh/s

I can NOT run a 7970 with it because for me, it only does 530 kh/s with catalyst 12.8
If I upgrade to 13.2beta and up, the hashrate jumps to 660 kh/s.

the 5850 doesn't like the 12.8 above and i get a drop in about 40 kh/s.

So... I opted to seperate them.  I now keep all 5xxx , 6xxx, and 7xxx cards with their own kinds.

I am shocked anyone fell for this SCAM!
If you believe that a company entered into manufacturing out of love, goodwill, and in the interest of preventing monopoly I roll my eyes at you.
It is the business of manufacturing miners for profit or manufacturing lies for profit.
And they are not manufacturing miners for profit.

If all they wanted was to help birds sing, puppys play and the sun shine brighter, or even just to help prevent a monopoly then they would make them and give them away or just keep them to mine themselves to offset the cost of manufacturing while fending off a monopoly.

But with BFL and Avalon there already is no monopoly.

Buying into a problem that does not exist for reasons that are too noble to trust is madness.

Sorry... but that is so 450 pages ago

49  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining PCI-E Card 10Gh/s card for only $100 on: September 12, 2013, 06:07:32 PM
Textbook Troll.

The OP is making all this up out of thin air.

Actually I think you may be right.  I checked his previous posts and they are just "news" and "links" postings.  He never address questions about his posts or engages in any real conversation.  Still makes me wonder, why even make up a thread like this in the first place, as in what is he getting out of it...
50  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Possible uses for Heat Generated by btc mining? on: September 11, 2013, 06:33:55 PM
I actually dry my laundry in a rack in the mining room.  Although some may say that might not be such a good idea with all the moisture in the room but it's not like I'm adding a whole lot of humidity either.
51  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining PCI-E Card 10Gh/s card for only $100 on: September 10, 2013, 10:32:42 PM
If those companies (Sony, HP, Dell, Gateway, ect...) do go the route of building those bitcoin PCI-e cards...

Um...  ok I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now...

First, could you please address those figures you threw out before?
Second, do you have any ref link for the supposed "those companies"? speficially Sony, HP, Dell?

Note: Bitcoin mining PCI-e cards are extremely easy to build.

If you are referring to GPUs as they are technically bitcoin mining PCI-e cards... why would these other companies bother with companies like AMD already around?
If you are referring to ASICs in a PCI-e form factor none exist as of yet so... again, not sure where you're getting your referece for your claim.
52  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Help: 2X 7950 (MSI) - PSU??? 850W Enough if Undervolted? on: September 10, 2013, 07:59:30 PM
Your 850W is plenty for even a 3rd card.  One of my rig is a 3x 7950 and draws 660W at the wall.  The cards are undervolted to 1087.

Hahah, at least they put a lot more effort into their site and product images than ASX project did.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 10, 2013, 07:46:22 PM
Anyone know if these heatsinks can be rotated at all?  From the picture it looks like there is a mounting screw at the front to the board (and I' assuming the back as well) but none on the side.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 09, 2013, 06:39:16 PM
I don't follow...

What don't you follow?  The man couldn't be any more clear.  Here, let me translate it for you:

Now do you follow?

Wait a minute... Was that a constructive post from... crumbs?!?

Haha, I'm telling you, everyone has good points if you sift through all the debris.
I hope BitCoinzzz comes back soon... it's like listening to Toll Booth Willie all over again.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Scam Warning] [ANN] [BFC] Butterflycoin SHA-256 power for ButterflyLabs miners on: September 08, 2013, 08:28:26 PM
Well, you don't have to if you don't want to.

I personally don't cuz I don't have any ASIC gear and my GPUs are all pointed to LTC.

You can check out his video regarding his coin, if your "question" is genuine that is.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 07, 2013, 09:56:12 PM
nah, just to the select few who are actually pointing.

As to the angled fins, i'm trying to figure out if this was the design all along, or if it was a late modification.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 07, 2013, 09:31:20 PM
I read them. All of them. And I am able to use the search function properly.

Anyone new to the this thread, I'd recommend the same.  I know it's very long but it's also very entertaining.  Knowing what you know now, the first 50 pages worth of fingerprinting is pure comedy.
60  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7950 + 6850 + 600W PSU is it enough? on: September 07, 2013, 09:04:11 PM

I'd go for the corsair.  The 1050 will comfortably accommodate 4 GPUs if you undervolt them.
