Lets not mix things up here.

He is selling a paypal cash code, which means he gives you a code that you redeem in your paypal account. Not sending you paypal money.

As far as I've researched these paypal cash codes are not reversible.

I'm sure there is something wrong with this but with 500+ transaction and 100% feedback I cant seem to find it.

No he gives you  the code online and you apply it to your paypal account, at least that's how its supposed to work.

Also these cards need to be activated and that can only happen if payment is made at the cashier so steeling a bunch of cards doesnt help him he'd have to pay to have any value.

So in my experience if something is too good to be true it tends to be the case.

Browsing the sell ads of local bitcoins and I come across this posting

https://localbitcoins.com/ad/154624/cash-out-your-bitcoins-paypal-mycash-just-say-go?

Dude is willing to pay 349 a coin or about a 20%+ premium to spot price in exchange for my paypal cash code. So obviously the first thing that pops into my mind is scam, but dude has 500+ transactions with 100% feedback. Can someone tell me what I'm missing here?

I was able to use the drop down menu at the time I placed the wager. I'm positive of this as the line they had up was a 3 and I wanted the 3.5 and paid the juice for it.

Look I would accept your logic that the event had started and I bet the next upcoming game it seems in fact that would likely be the explanation I'd offer myself. EXCEPT that I was in the drop down menu and moved the line to 3.5 which means the game was being displayed at the time I placed the wager. I think by your own admission you acknowledge that my intentions were to for the Packer game. You can choose to do the right thing and a refund here is the right thing

Its unfortunate but I've had a terrible experience with this book. First I'd like to give you guys a little background on me, I do this only because I think its important to know where I'm coming from. Someone with just 5 posts in this forum isn't going to be given any credibility, I've been around poker and gambling forums for a while and have seen crazy stories told by newbies, most of the time their full of shit. I'll give a little background on me and then on what happened at bitbook.

First I'm a respected long time member of the 2+2 forums. I've wagered over $25,000 alone in this thread

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19/high-stakes-pl-nl/empiremaker2-sports-thread-1382948/

Second I keep 5 figure rolls on multiple books. I don't say this to brag  I'm telling you this because the amount in question is insignificant to me in the big scheme of things. However that doesn't mean I don't care about being taken advantage of.

Third in my 9 years of wagering online I've never placed a wrong bet.

Now to what happened. I placed a 2.2btc bet on the packers at +3.5, game ends I go to check my account and see my balance is completely off. I check my bet history and instead of the Packer bet I see a Oregon +5 NCAA basketball bet was there which lost. I send the following PM to bitbook to make it easy to read the convo I'll use blue ink and red ink for their replies

"Hey guys,

I don't know whats going on I placed a wager on the packers +3.5. Now I went to check my wagers and it showing me that I took Oregon +5 in college basketball. Im 100% confident that I placed a bet on the packers because the line was +3 and I used the drop down menu to move it to +3.5 -117. Again Im 100% percent of this, Ive never placed a wrong wager in my life and I would appreciate you taking a look at what the hell happened.

My id is xxx please get back to me asap

Thanks"

"Hey xxx,

We have looked into this.

Were you placing your bet using the "upcoming" tab? It looks like you placed a bet on the event that would have been immediately after the Packers game, and you placed the bet shortly after the start time of the packers game. Given this, what may have happened is that you were viewing the packers game, but after the start time we automatically removed the game, so the new game was listed in the same position on your screen and you didn't notice.

There is nothing in our system that would switch the match bet on and this is not an issue we have seen before. However, for future reference, you can enable a bet confirmation step in your settings page."

"Hi

Yes I was def. in the upcoming page but are you saying that I was still viewing the Packers line yet the Oregon game is the actual game that your site had? How can the Packer game not be removed, and do you know the exact time the bet was placed because I was able to place the wager in my 5d account at the same time. I really don't think the game had kicked off yet."

"At the time the Oregon +5 bet was placed the Packers game would no longer be in the upcoming section, but it would have been there just 30 seconds prior, which could explain how an accident could occur.

Your bet on Oregon +5 was placed at exactly 21:40:25 UTC. The official start time of the Packers game was 25 seconds earlier at 21:40:00 UTC. The game did not actually kick off at this time, but once the official start time is reached it is no longer possible to place bets on the event, except in the "Live" tab (if it is being offered there).

Most likely the following happened:
-You were viewing the packers game in the upcoming tab
-The time passed 21:40:00 UTC
-The packers game was automatically removed from the tab, making the Oregan game become the next upcoming match, and moving it into the top slot previously occupied by the packers game
-Not noticing that the next upcoming match listed was now the Oregan game, you accidentally bet on it, instead of the packers game.

That seems like the most likely series of events."

"Your explanation seems reasonable except for one point. I'm 100% sure that I moved the line to +3.5 from the 3 that was showing. I'm positive of this as I only wanted the packers at 3.5 and paid the extra juice which was -117 at the time. According to your explanation the game would not be showing at all is that right? I think what may have happened based on what you told me that the game is taken of the board after the offical start time is I was still seeing the Packers game and actually bet that game but your system was reading it as the Oregon game.. I don't know if this is reproducible but again, I'm 100% sure that I was seeing the Packers and had the drop down menu shown."

His reply

"What likely happened is that you saw the Packers game, and selected +3.5, but sometime between making that selection and actually placing the bet it passed the official start time of the game, and the Oregan match became the top selection for upcoming. Technically it would be very hard to imagine a way that the Packers game could be dispalyed but a different game sent in the bet request."

"Technically is not very reassuring, look I'm not trying to angle you I imagine you get these type of messages from time to time. I honestly saw the Packer game and selected that game when placing the wager. I'd like you guys to refund me this wager. Although I'm 100% positive that I placed a wager on Packers +3.5 that won I have no way to prove that to you.  I'd like you to consider a couple of things.

1. I've never bet a college basketball game
2. The bet was placed right at the time when the Packer game was taking off.

Can you also tell me if the line Oregon +5 would have been placed at same area as betting the Packers line would have been?"

"We didn't mean to seem rude in mentioning what was not "technically" possible. We understand your frustration.

We also do not believe you are angling. We believe that it is very likely that you accidentally bet on the wrong match. However, in our experience if a user makes a mistake and it ends up benefiting them they do not report anything, but if they lose they let us know. Would you have let us know if the Packers failed to cover and Oregon had won? If so, you'd be the first user ever to do that. We really do not believe that you are angling, but we can only cancel accidents before the start of a match.

In response to your question, yes the Oregon +5 bet would be in the area where the Packers game previously was, which would explain why an accident would be very possible.

Again, we really do understand your frustration, and we hope you will understand that this puts us in a position that we hate to be in also."

So they've decided that they won't refund the bet even though this is a glitch on their end. I don't know if anyone else has experienced something like this on the site?  I think I read a couple posts up about bets in a users history page which weren't his??? How can they not refund me here? Its really disappointing to see this.
