41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: July 17, 2023, 02:09:16 PM
I don't think BTC will drop below $30k this time. I mean, you should make your own decision, I'm just sharing my opinion. I'm buying it now to be prepared for the pump.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: July 10, 2023, 08:06:31 AM
so if my theory is correct then we should be happy those Bitcoins were lost.
Will you be happy if it were your bitcoins that were lost? will you be the one to want to contribute to the bitcoin network like you have said? loss of bitcoins is not something that you should be happy about even when you are not the one affected, some people who have lost their bitcoins could not find the courage to start gathering up what they have lost especially when the bitcoins lost is big and have taken some time and dedication for the person to gather up to what he had.

Exactly. Also, the lower the total amount, the fewer people will be able to accumulate a whole bitcoin. It's kinda sad that Bitcoin is limited to 21 million, and it's absolutely impossible to recover lost coins.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seniors vs Kids — in the future of Bitcoin on: July 04, 2023, 07:34:57 AM
I think that scams are happening not just because of a lack of crypto knowledge, but because of a lack of cyber security in general. And people's naivety. I think that's what should be told to the teenagers at some point. I had to learn that the hard way, but at least I lost not a lot of money when I was starting using the internet around 15 years ago.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 05:12:27 AM
Well, buying ATH is kinda pointless. It will be 100% go down after that, only the pure enthusiasts will buy it at that price. But I'd definitely buy it at $100k after it hits $200k because there are chances that it won't go significantly lower. And yes, I believe that $200k is not the ceiling for it.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 06:53:00 AM
That's a nice gift considering the background! That's a good way to introduce new people to the crypto world.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: June 15, 2023, 03:32:20 PM
After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.

But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?

It's not dead, but it definitely won't be able to outperform Bitcoin. I still have some LTC and will keep holding it, but I don't have too much faith in it.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet hacked! Get your funds out now! on: June 08, 2023, 08:52:24 AM
Yeah, about that!
It happens when you let third parties to manage your funds, when will people learn that bitcoin is money and since there is no central safe keeping party to insure the safety of your funds, you should never put your funds in the hands of crypto-bank wannabes.
Since Atomic Wallet was not a custodial wallet, users weren't exactly putting their funds in the hands of the company behind the wallet. They had control over their own funds but the problem was that because the wallet is closed source they didn't know who else also has access to their keys and consequently their funds.

Damn, that's why open source is the best option. I don't think Atomic Wallet will recover from that, who would put their coins there after that accident?
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: June 02, 2023, 09:42:15 AM
I don't think anyone should try to convince you or anyone else to buy Bitcoin. Do you have thoughts about it? Great, now you can do a research and decide it for yourself, not because some strangers on the internet told you to do or not to do that.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STAGNATION OF BITCOIN PRICE FOR WEEKS on: May 29, 2023, 07:09:13 AM
Right now is a pretty good price to buy still, I agree. But I'm so glad that I managed to buy BTC for below $20,000 at the beginning of this year. After that, it feels kinda expensive to buy it at $25-28K.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins ? on: May 18, 2023, 03:12:35 PM
I simply not interested in memecoins. It's not investing, it's just gambling. People just don't care that these coins don't have any utility and maybe even were made to be rug pulled at some point.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So when bitcoin version 2 satoshi? on: May 17, 2023, 03:11:30 PM
Your account was made in August 28, 2021
I been here since 2012ish bud, I understand it is a scam to the future of humanity and just ends in bloodshed.

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 12, 2023, 03:23:02 PM
Please remember that Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency on the market. All of the other cryptocurrencies that you see today were developed after bitcoin found success. Therefore, whether or not the cryptocurrencies follow bitcoin is not up for discussion.

I believe that bitcoin is the primary driver of the entire altcoin market. and closely resembles its course. However, there are a few glaring outliers.  The impact was initially 100%, but after the introduction of stablecoins, it has somewhat decreased.

Also most regular people don't even know about anything besides Bitcoin, lol. So it's not surprising that it's Bitcoin that drives the whole market and not the other way around.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 05, 2023, 08:34:41 AM
When the bitcoin price is 100k I will sell 70% and keep only 30%. Because when the price of Bitcoin goes down again I will invest in it again. Invest some money in personal business to build other sources of income. Later, when I can earn a good amount of money from Bitcoin and my personal business, I want to use that money to fulfill my personal dreams, help my family financially, and help poor people.

Sounds like a great plan, I have almost the same excluding helping poor people. I was poor myself btw, so I know what it's like.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your stand as a Bitcoin holder. on: April 29, 2023, 11:06:42 AM
I'm not even in the top 5%. But I'll get there this year for sure. My goal is to get 0.5 BTC before it hits $100k.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 28, 2023, 07:12:02 AM
You are judging tomorrow based on today and that's unfair, if 0.2BTC is all you can afford this year, what makes you think you won't do better than this next year? There are many opportunities in crypto space that can change everything in a short period of time you only need to learn.

I have read about how many people make a lot of money by investing in altcoin gems if they find them early. If you find them early, you can have more BTC fast. With altcoins, you can do pretty well and then use that money to buy Bitcoin, so you can have one Bitcoin within one year or two.

There are too many "gems", most of them won't provide you too much profit even if you invest in them early, and some will cause you to lose money. Trading is a good way to make money, but it's hard and I think it's not for everyone. Accepting your limits is fine, trying to break them is also acceptable, but you shouldn't overestimate yourself too much.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 20, 2023, 06:03:56 AM
People do not actually "invest" in Bitcoin.... but they rather buy some Bitcoin to "use" or to hoard until the price increase and then to sell at a profit. It is a lot like "cash" ...with the difference that it is not widely accepted yet, but that can change soon.

You can buy any amount of Bitcoin, depending on what exchange you use, because many of these exchanges have minimum deposit limits, but if you can buy from someone else, then you can basically buy $1 worth of Bitcoin.... but the fees will not make it worth it. (If you want to buy lower amounts, I will suggest that you use the Lightning Network)  Wink

You still might call that investment, it mostly depends on what exactly a person wants to do with Bitcoin. Especially if, as you said, to sell it at a profit.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Speculation & Gambling" - Warren Buffett Critisize on: April 15, 2023, 07:42:47 AM
Another old man yells at cloud once again, nothing new here. We don't care about what he says anyway, Bitcoin wasn't meant for him in the first place I think.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you consider yourself as a risk taker if you buy bitcoin? on: April 11, 2023, 05:44:32 AM
~snip~
Even if we are willing to lose and do not expect to receive any reward when investing, it also means that we have accepted the risk as freely as possible. Investing in bitcoin meant we took the risk, but given what bitcoin can give us, I think our risk is well worth it.

There is no such thing as a completely safe investment in this world, it's just more or less risky, and bitcoin is one of the riskiest investments compared to traditional investments. But high risk brings high returns, so if someone is willing to step out of their comfort zone and take the risk, they will succeed faster than others.

I think that's one of the big advantages of Bitcoin, that you can, since the beginning, simply risk a portion of your time/money/resources to it, and see how it will go.

Probably it's not as high risk now as it was in the beginning, but for some people it is still seen as high risk.

It's still a pretty high risk. However, keeping your money in fiat or in stocks is a risk too, it's all just a different kind of risk. And it's different for everyone not only based on salary, but on country, job, etc.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 31, 2023, 08:20:46 AM
I never got rid of anything to buy Bitcoin, lol. I wouldn't sell a house or a car if I had one just to buy Bitcoin. I'm sure we'll see at least $100K, but when - no one knows.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Given an option between Bitcoin and Fiat which do you prefer? on: March 22, 2023, 01:13:49 PM
I will choose both for now because I can support myself and my family with fiat, while with bitcoin, I can have additional investments in crypto.
It will complete my life to prepare my future better.
And I haven't imagined using bitcoin for everyday life because not all online or offline stores are willing to accept payments using bitcoin while they still use fiat.
And I also don't know how long it will be until bitcoin can be accepted as legal tender worldwide because it depends on the policies of each government.
Therefore, I chose both rather than just choosing a fiat because by owning both, I believe that my life will be better in the future.

True. Most of us can't use Bitcoin directly anyway in our countries I think. It's possible to buy something only maybe, but not food or clothes. Even if you get only Bitcoin you need to withdraw it to use.
