I got it this Morning which is Monday ,maybe they process them manually ?
Dear overunity,

It takes some minutes to receive a confirmation e-mail. We send them automatically. An e-mail with the instruction for funding your account may take a few hours to arrive (Monday-Friday).
We would like to kindly ask you for your e-mail address so we can investigate this issue.

Do not hesitate to contact us on support@hitbtc.com.
They sent me payment details ,I replied to info@hitbtc.com requesting your swift/BIC to make a small transfer.
In reference to the previous post it was a request to send funds,my mistake.
They say it can takes hours to withdraw BTC ,I assume that is for large BTC withdrawals that may be handled manually ,so I will test the withdrawal of a small amount of BTC and hopefully it is quick .
May be put in the FAQ the amount of BTC at which manual transactions will occur.
42  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Announcing brand new Bitcoin Exchange - hitbtc on: February 17, 2014, 10:49:54 AM
I registered and the message was wait for an e-mail ,I was expecting the e-mail confirmation to be virtually instant like other sites I register at ,but after hours still no e-mail.
If it takes hours to send an e-mail I cannot imagine how long bitcoin or fiat would take .
Will see what the forum finds out before using them.

Dear overunity,

Usually it takes about some seconds to to receive a confirmation e-mail. Could you please check your non-priority inbox folder and make sure that ask@hitbtc.com is added to your whitelist. In case you didn't receive a confirmation, please make sure your email address is correct and do not hesitate to contact us on support@hitbtc.com, so we can re-send the confirmation letter.

If they are short of fiat it would be very beneficial to allow the price to drop as low as possible to incentivised traders to withdraw bitcoins when they allow it .

Welcome to new difficulty 1.78 bilion, the next change is for about 10 days + 25-35 %  Huh

The constant from all this is a Block reward every 10 minutes of currently 25 BTC.
This is the first, honest, self regulating invention ever .

Wow! x2
The increase in hashrate is stunning, and to have a "honest, self regulating invention" is pretty good too.  Smiley

Who would have dreamed printing money would be so popular Huh  hehe.

BTC quickly losing popularity.

What I believe these graphs are showing is the sentiment on a very short timeframe ,but longer term I believe some of the reasons are :

One main reason buyer interest was lower during December and January was the chinese announcements forbidding 3rd party payment processors from working with bitcoin exchanges ,the deadline 31st january ,so large investors are reluctanct to enter the market till after this deadline .

Second ,news that the FED are holding a very large quantity of bitcoins from the silk road closure ,until large investor know with some certainty how these will be liquidated they will stay on the sidelines .

I believe these below reasons are possibly reflected in your timeframe .
We have recently heard of MR Shrem being arrested for alleged money laundering adding further uncertainty.
We have also seen speculation recently that MTgot has issues leading to yet further uncertainty .

Until we see more certainty with the above issues new large finacial investors on the scale of Fidelity are going to be wary of investing ,these types of institutions are what will drive price higher .

My personal opinion is to buy a bit more bitcoin on bad news and reap the rewards later ,the only news you should sell on, is that there is a flaw in the bitcoin protocol ,all other bad news is an opportunity to lower your dollar cost average to maximise gains .

It would be interesting to know which exchanges or what individual exchange you gathered this data from ,we know to disregard gox since you can only buy coins there ,so bitstanp,BTC-e or perhaps some others may be a better reflection .

This is idea is really important for the Bitcoin world. We hope more place accept Bitcoin soon.

I have seeded the bitcoin acceptance with a few friends that own businesses ,I have left it for now to give them time to research but I will hopefully be able to add a few more soon in my area .

The desktop is not frozen this time just that I'am not actually mining but the client shows that I'am .

What hardware was this with again? Are the devices frozen in the GUI? That is, can you stop them and start them again? Are there any error messages in the log?

Are any of the numbers changing? Accepted proofs of work? Rejects? Miscalculations?

To keep us stable could you not bundle the needed java files with your app ? Do you already ? It may have been a windows thing all of a sudden.

It requires Java 6 or higher and all other dependencies are downloaded with the app.

I try to keep it working with all Java 6 and 7 versions. I have some work arounds in the code that are not needed in the latest java 6 and 7 releases, but I keep them in there in case not everyone is always running the latest version. Have you discovered any java version (6 or up) where the client doesn't work?

The hardware is asicminer usb 335mhps each.
I will check if it happens again whether the reading per asic are frozen in the client ,assumming this is what you mean ,I will also check for error messages next time .
Will see if the client is Accepted proofs of work? Rejects? Miscalculations?
and answer when this next happens ,which hopefully is never lol.

It happened again  the client showing 3690mhps but I log onto bitminter and I'am not hashing anything ?

The window is completely frozen? No buttons work and no data being updated?

If this happens again, can you see how high its memory usage while it is frozen like this? Under Windows you can check this using task manager (hit ctrl-alt-del).

The desktop is not frozen this time just that I'am not actually mining but the client shows that I'am .

Hello just wondering if any one else has the same issue .
On my windows desktop the bitminter client says I'am mining at the normal 3690 mh/s but when I looked at my miners the lights on them were constant green ,so I go to bitminter website and find they stopped working 22/01/2014 at 22:28 ,I actually stopped on the block at 20:16

This has happened a couple of times were the desktop client shows its running fine but actually I'am not mining at all .
I leave mine running 24hrs and notice that the client functions become unresponsive ,for example the tabs for devices, tools and help stop working .

My question is why does the desktop client report full hashing power when they are not working at all ?

It happened again  the client showing 3690mhps but I log onto bitminter and I'am not hashing anything ?

Using 11 asicminers on windows vista 64bit ,q6600 quad core processor ,8gig ram .
Did a snippet image but cannot paste it here .

edit : just restarted client to see how it goes .

my overall ram usage was 2.4 out of 8 gig so I do not think it was related to ram usage .
Funny really because for a month or so I noticed lots of stales and errors now it seems the client is not reporting actually what my physical miners are doing at all .

Doing a wordpress install is pretty easy. After that all you need is a theme. That is what I would recommend.

Another option would be to host your site with a company like godaddy and then use their website builder - Nice and easy!
That is exactly what I did and I like my first attemp ,now a want an online shop to sell grocery for bitcoin in the uk ,got the cash and carry account got a domain now I just need to sort out the actual online shop and presto grocery for bitcoin ,no cards just coin please .

many thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated.
Lots to think about but i'll be honest have been looking at mining with a pi so my go down that road - still need to get a pi so just waiting for payday and will then get started.
I'm based in the UK but appreciate the ebay links philipma....checking on UK ebay have seen 2nd hand USB miners going for around £15 which seems decent and thats the price I'm willing to pay.
May just go for a couple to start of with and see how I get on.
I am in the process of building a media pc so was thinking of using that for mining too so may add an ATi card in there which should help with mining - maybe either a R9270 or a 280
I guess its more of an interest but of course if I can make a little profit it always helps.
Again thanks for the advice Smiley

Hello I went through the learning process a few months ago ,I'am also from UK .
I recommend getting a hub from here
 http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/usb-fwire-io/usb-hubs-and-accessories
The code is LN9748.
It is 7 port hub but you can only put 5 usb's into it .
2 ports are for charging stuff .
These 5 work at a solid 335m/hs in this hub .
I tried cheaper hubs but they do not seem to supply the power needed per port and you start getting errors ,this hub is not cheap but works flawlessly .
Currently it takes about 2 months to get 0.1 btc with 11 usbs which is fifty pounds worth .
Just to give you an idea what return your looking for .
56  Economy / Services / Re: Website needs building for sandwich shop. on: January 21, 2014, 05:46:23 PM
It is cheaper and easier to do it yourself .
I did a simple one myself ,first attempt ,diggin4coins.com .
You would just need one with a shopping cart .
mine cost seventeen pounds .
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: E-bay ,paypal on: January 20, 2014, 04:29:30 PM
I would just like to thank any one who actually contacted e-bay .
We have at least got them to adjust their policy regarding the sale of bitcoin.
I noticed that their are currently no bitcoins at all for sale there which is either a wise decision by sellers or a clearout by e-bay .

So come Feb 10th on their UK site which is the one I spoke to ,they will have a dedicated area for selling bitcoin and similar currencies .

Congratulations all !!!!
58  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: January 17, 2014, 11:54:57 AM
I'am amazed ,I got my first enquiry for work from coinmap .
What is surprising is that I have not advertised "DIGGIN4COINS" anywere else yet so this has come from this site .
I have only had it on coinmap since the previous post so bitcoin is spreading in the Uk.
59  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: January 14, 2014, 05:01:30 PM
I think I have addressed the issues .
I've just fixed some errors: note that OSM is case sensitive.

Thank you for your time .
You're welcome!

Will this add it to coinmap ?
Yes!

Ciao!

Yoohoo ,it would not without your help .

Bicoin is biggest scam in the early history,
Mining company buy bitcoion and constantly raises his prices, and again sell bitcoin, and so the circle,
its most centralized currency the world has ever seen

Check difficulity, each 10 days its up about 25-35 % , and after the bitcoin price jump about 25 - 35%.  Huh

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Cleaning mining hardware has begun, after that game iz over, will no longer be nobody that raises the price and Bitcoin is dead.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397876.0

Nah, mining company only control the difficulty...

The only price they can set is the price of the mining equipment they manufacture ,that is also determined by what people will pay .

The difficulty controls miners not the other way round ,it is a mechanism to control the release of new bitcoins at a rate of average 10 minute intervals .

What is beautiful to see is that no-one or group have any control ,for the first time ,control has been automated and bitcoin is the first technology to be based on the new decentralised technology .

If a developer decides to build an auction platform from the decentralised network e-bay will cease to exist along with payPAL and its fees
