42  Economy / Services / Re: Where to find Blockchain developers? on: January 28, 2018, 11:30:49 AM
I've been wondering the same myself and wouldn't say that this forum is the best place to start - not because there aren't good developers here but because they're unlikely to work with or advise you, unless you've already got a really good idea and a working project to plug into. You sound like you're starting from scratch, so you might want to first read up on basic computer security and blockchain dev't. Not to understand the tech but to familiarise yourself with the languages and tech that the developer would need to have. That helps you narrow down your search.

Be warned that a lot of the freelance devs out there are only entry level people - they're probably good enough if you just want a simple project (think all those ERC20 tokens flying around) but if you're building from the ground up... you may have to headhunt. The very best devs in my opinion are already tied up... and I'd say the world's top ones are all with Bitcoin.

But they give you clues about what a top blockchain dev is, how they're different from the general coder/programming population. They're passionate (I hate the word, but in this context it fits entirely) and very ideological.

Linkedin is a good start, sign up if you haven't and advertise for some developers

I suggest advertise your specific needs and criteria to the project

Best way to look would be - Full stack development / blockchain, you would find a lot of programmers Smiley

And this is a really good starting place to headhunt, especially if you sign up with an employer account. A pretty good way to cast your net is to attach a small test (you'd be surprised how many freelance coders fail basic aptitude tests that don't actually require programming knowledge).

But I think if you really want good blockchain devs, you go to where they live and spend a lot of time to seek them out. Here. Blockgeeks. Blockchain conferences (meet real devs there).

Wow, thanks for the insight! I am looking to get an ERC20 token off the ground and I really only need an entry level developer to get to the ico, after that I will be able to pay more advanced programmers. The idea I have is really good I'll probably make a more serious post of it in the near future I'll just update this thread then. Again, thanks so much for the advice.

45  Local / Projektentwicklung / Suche Blockchain-Programmierer on: January 27, 2018, 04:14:49 PM
Hey Leute!

No it's not lol
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When is crypto gonna blow up? on: January 26, 2018, 03:52:57 PM
I sincerely believe in the adoption of cryptocurrency, but I thought that crypto would be way more popular by now. Honestly I am pretty suprised that we didn't hit a trillion market cap by now. I know there are a lot of factors working against crypto atm (FUD, Futurest, Scams etc.) but I still think that crypto can be greater than it is right now. So why do you guys think hasn't blown up or do you even think that it's gonna blow up more than it already has?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When the market is down, better buy USDT or USD? on: January 26, 2018, 09:32:36 AM
It's practically the same but with tether there is the danger that it's gonna drop because people will find out it's a hoax lol
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / What do you think about Oyster Pearl $PRL on: January 23, 2018, 12:26:03 PM
It's a great crypto check it out if you don't know about it. I only don't get why it lost so much value, I think it easily can be a top 100 coin. Anyone has a clue as to why it doesn't pump or any other comments on this coin?
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain BTC values to co-worker on: January 23, 2018, 12:24:04 PM
Thanks for all the comments boys! I'll be at work tomorrow and I will try to explain them when the topic comes up. I'll make sure to use all your tips, thanks again!
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 23, 2018, 12:21:40 PM
You just have a 1% for more than five coins, why are you investing like this? Maybe if your portfolio's value is more than $100,000 it would be fine.. But more than 10 tokens in there and diversified on just a 1%? No way mate.

Just take a look over Zclassic too.

My portfolio isn't that valuable I have some dust of some coins I believe in but not as much as in my main main investments Smiley maybe go checkout my updated portfolio some comments up^^^

53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to explain BTC values to co-worker on: January 20, 2018, 11:25:41 PM
Hey guys I'm pretty new so forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this; recently in my office my coworkers started talking about crypto and Bitcoin. All of them knew about it but they didn't really understand why it is so expensive, I explained them that it's basically supply and demand and that there is a limited supply but they didn't really understand how someone can put that much value onto a currency which is backed by a corporation or government. Do you have any idea how I can explain them better that Bitcoin is representative for crypto and it's gonna be changing a lot of our daily lives?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 20, 2018, 01:24:02 PM
40% Ripple
25% BTC
15% Cardano
8% Lisk
5% Ethereum
4% Iota
1% Litecoin
1% Siacoin
1% Stellar Lumen

If I rate your portfolio from 1 to 10 I would give 3 or 4 max. First of all you have too many Ripple. I don't trust that government coin at all.
You have too many Cardano, Lisk and Iota. I wouldn't hold those coins in my portfolio. You don't have balance in your portfolio. You don't have good promising coins (Neo, Vechain, Oyster, Wabi etc.). You might want to change some coins and holding percentage.

thanks for your rating! You should have a look on to my updated portfolio a few comments up ^!
Why do you tink cardano lisk and iota is bad? And I've made around 600% on Ripple so I don't think that's too many Smiley
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 20, 2018, 12:16:51 PM
Hey guys! Thanks again for all the good advice and different opinions on my Portfolio. After doing some research I shifted some stuff in my portfolio in the recent dip:

25% XRP
20% BTC
10% ADA
10% WABI
8% PRL
8% KCS
5% LSK
5% OMG
~10% Split into many small positions like $SUB, $IOTA and $NEO

I also have around 1000$ in different ICO like CargoX and Crypterium would be nice if some of you can comment on those too Smiley
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is $BCC still a top 100 coin? on: January 18, 2018, 02:38:20 PM
It will take time for it to get flushed out of the system.

Many don't know what is happening...just buying blindly.  Some are in denial and still believe it can be saved.  A few thinks it is BCH.  No matter what, I feel sorry for the investors, especially the new ones.

They are too greedy, they deserve to get fcked lol

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Why is $BCC still a top 100 coin? on: January 18, 2018, 02:13:55 PM
BCC sits at around 40$ right now and is on place 83 on coinmarketcap. How come there is still demand for the coin? Isn't it literally useless now?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 06, 2018, 12:22:40 AM
Hey guys! I am relatively new to crypto and I woud like to have some feedback on my Portfolio Smiley

40% Ripple
25% BTC
15% Cardano
8% Lisk
5% Ethereum
4% Iota
1% Litecoin
1% Siacoin
1% Stellar Lumen

I have doubled my money with this Portfolio. I am looking to invest 50% of my initial investements in other Altcoins, any suggestions?

I'd highly recommend to reduce % of BTC and increase the amount of ETH, IOTA and Stellar. You were very lucky with Ripple, I should say Smiley

Brah it was a "smart investment" ain't no luck involved in crypto  Grin Grin Grin

Despite all the poeple saying im too exposed on ripple I kept it, and voila 1500% gains  <3
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 05, 2018, 11:53:11 AM
TY for all the opinions and help on my portfolio I really appreciate that! Currently I'm restructuring my portfolio and since I made some money on ripple lately I have enough funds to expand my portfolio even further. I will do my research on some of the coins you guys mentioned. Thanks a lot!!!
