shouldn't monero have changed algorythm by now?

In eleven days:

Thanks for the feedback!
I mine CN coins since October with one of my rigs (4x Vega 56) and have around 7.6 KH.
If I put this number on whattomine right now (current diff) I get: 148.8 ETN Daily (so with the pool luck-factor (35%) ~ 200.9 ETN)
If I put this number on cryptunit right now I get: 297.6 ETN Daily

whattomine is quite accurate from what I get... cryptunit is way to high.

e.g. IPBC is very accurate from the values cryptunit shows and what I get.

Cheers

What is the actual amount of ETN you have been getting with your rig ? Are they 10-15% close to whattomine says it is?

Yes..around 180-190...but that difference is easily explainable with the changing diff over one day.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: March 22, 2018, 10:21:07 AM

What kind of differences are you seeing? When I mined ETN I was getting about 10-15% less compared with the estimates but this may be due to a fluctuating hash rate or/and difficulty.
This always happens. It is impossible to predict 100% what will be the result of the operation of your equipment. It is impossible even to foresee how long it will be possible to use this algorithm for mining using GPU. So I think we should discuss the topic of protecting coins from asics more. Without that, everything else doesn't make sense.

Yes, I agree that's why I'm asking Bhaal1 what differences is he seeing. Maybe he configured something in a wrong manner like a wrong fixed/starting difficulty.

I think there are enough threads in this sub-forum about AISCs and the disadvantages they bring, let's keep this thread on topic - CN CPU minable coins.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think cryptunit calculates ETN wrong.
Its way off compared to whattomine and what I tested the last days whattomine (adding 35% for the pool-luck factor) is far more realistic.
I tested on nanopool and spacepools.

Any thoughts?

ETN is heading down to ICO price. It's a good time to buy and buy more ETN because this coin is sure to bounce up to the moon after a hard landing.

It will bounce back that is true. But not exactly to the moon.

Do you recommend an exchange from where I can buy?

Its also listed on kucoin.

Very disappointing to hear Richard saying that the ASIC is not a problem and basically that he doesnt care...

Where have you found that?

ETN on Cryptopia on maintenance again... wtf?

We need other (better) exchanges for ETN!  Angry

Hi,

an Cast XMR update is available.

The main reason for the update is the integration of the PoW changes to CryptoNight for the Monero V7 network upgrade which are documented here:

https://github.com/monero-project/monero/pull/3253

The Monero V7 network upgrade is planned to be end of march, an exact and final block height is not set yet. So stay up to date!

Regards,
glph3k

Cast XMR Version 0.9.0 (2018/03/08)

  - support for the Monero V7 network upgrade. Read more about it here
  - the Monero PoW switch will be automatically detected, no restart of cast XMR is required. Only make sure to update cast XMR before the network upgrade is happening and that the used Monero pool supports the network upgrade
  - no decrease in hash rate for other currencies was introduced by the change
  - CryptoNightV7 will run at the same hash rate as CryptoNight
  - for any case there is the new --algo option to force which CryptoNight variant to use:
    - -1 = autodetect (default)
    - 0 = CryptoNight
    - 1 = CryptoNightV7 (Monero V7 network upgrade)

Hi, does somebody know what's happening with Cryptopia deposit, why it isn't working?

I think there was some sort of fork in Electroneum a few days ago. It could be that Cryptopia has not caught up with this, they may not have the new wallet.
https://github.com/electroneum/electroneum/releases/tag/v0.11.0.0-revert

Deposits on Cryptopia are disabled for a few weeks now. I don't know what is taking them so long, but they had some troubles with blockchain or something like that. They blocked deposits few times already...

Still waiting for my 4300 ETN from my last  transaction made on 2018-03-03 still has not shown up on cryptopia sent from mining pool

Yes...not funny anymore.
I'm also waiting for a few 1000 ETNs to arrive there...but for the next trades I will use tradeogre.
Its also a shitty exchange but at least a working shitty exchange.

Cheers

better  add this coin to
https://www.cryptunit.com

Please not!
Otherwise nicehash will destroy the difficulty also for this coin...

Nicehash = Thieving cunts, twice now they have robbed me of >50k sat miner fee, both times the average fee was 10k sat... Last chance nicehash thieves, you now owe me an extra 80k sat, and my miners stay elsewhere until you stop stealing from me!!!!

I cant understand why still so much people use this platform...
...are they really all to lazy to select there own coin and pools?

56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot and backtesting platform on: February 13, 2018, 11:03:19 AM
Hello,
I need 2 strategies to implement in Gekko :

1) BB + RSI + MACD:

• Buy decision must satisfy three conditions:
  *  The signal is below the bottom line of Bollinger Bands
  *  The MACD in uptrend and has a cross intersection
  *  The Relative Strength Index is in uptrend

• Sell decision must satisfy three conditions:
  *  The signal is above the upper line of Bollinger Bands,
  *  The MACD in downtrend and has a cross intersection,
  *  The Relative Strength Index is in downtrend

• Additional Parameters :
  *  Standard parameters for BB
  *  Standard parameters for RSI
  *  Standard parameters for RSI
  *  Time Frame: Must be able to run on any time frame (M1, M5, M15, M30 etc )
  *  Buy Money Management: Be able to use% of account for each buy trade
  *  Sale Money Management: Be able to use% of account for each sale trade
  *  Stop Loss:%

2) 2 MA + SAR + RSI :

• Buy decision must satisfy three conditions:
  *  The Relative Strength Index is in uptrend
  *  The MA makes a Golden Cross: Crossover involving a short-term moving average breaking above the long-term moving average
  *  The Parabolic SAR dots, begin to be hanging above the candles

• Sell decision must satisfy three conditions:
  *  The Relative Strength Index is in downtrend
  *  The MA Makes to Death Cross: C rossover RESULTING from a l ong-term moving average breaking above the short-term moving average or support level.
  *  The Parabolic SAR dots, begin to be hanging bellow the candles

• Additional Parameters :
  *  Number of periods for Short-term moving average
  *  Number of periods for Long-term moving average
  *  Standard parameters for SAR
  *  Standard parameters for RSI
  *  Time Frame: Must be able to run on any time frame (M1, M5, M15, M30 etc )
  *  Buy Money Management: Be able to use% of account for each buy trade
  *  Sale Money Management: Be able to use% of account for each sale trade
  *  Stop Loss: %

I would like to know the feasibility of doing them and the cost

That's one hell of a nice post :-)

Thats true!
Are the developers still active here?
I see a lot of activity at github...

Hi

DId you meet 'invalid AMD results' error for vega56? It is about 10% in my result  Angry Angry

Try to use cast-xmr with the option --fastjobswitch.
This should solve your problem.

NICEHASH STOLE MY MONEY AND CLOSED MY TICKET!
I have sent thousand of dollars through this service as a buyer.  Tried to deposit $600 two weeks ago and they took it, didn't credit my Nicehash wallet, and have now moved the BTC out of the address I deposited it to on the blockchain.  They have closed my support tickets and censored me on this subreddit.  Please spread the word!   Don't use Nicehash!!!

ya, people have been saying this for weeks :/

they are desperate to pay users from the "hack" so they are doing w/e they can to scam, especially what they consider "newbies" . locking accounts, "losing" deposits...
Sad

sadly, they are in serbia area, so theres zero liability, all we can do as a community is refuse to be used by them and stop using them Sad

hope you get your cash back...

What’s sad to see is legend members still using/talking highly of this service. Sad state of affairs if ask me. You know who you are.  Shame on you!

You are absolutely right!!

Cast XMR Version 0.8.5 (2018/02/07)

  - 1% performance gain for Vega Frontier Edition with Blockchain driver (fastest GPU around)
  - 1% performance improvement with current stock driver (18.1.1) for RX Vega 56/64 (40% to go to reach Blockchain driver performance)
  - fix for random blocking console output
  - GPU now always logs with its device id not the order they are listed in the -G argument
  - --log option to log console output to a file
  - remote access includes CORS support in HTTP header

Serious question for glph3K:

Why does the Blockchain driver provide increased performance over the Adrenaline drivers with the compute option toggled?
https://community.amd.com/thread/221930

It is concerning that there has been no improvement for cryptonight based mining on the Vega with the latest drivers, and AMD coming out and saying that the Adrenaline drivers are "already optimized for the Vega" is hugely disappointing. In short, without the August blockchain drivers we would never have this performance for cryptonight, which I know I am not the first person to ponder this issue.

Do you have any insights on this issue? Have you had any contact with AMD driver developers?

I am not a conspiracy type person but I find this completely crazy, odd and so on...

This also does not bode well for NAVI cards using GDDR6 as AMD may never allow true mining performance to be recognized via the driver. Right now the [Suspicious link removed]pute drivers look like either a fluke, mistake or some devious ploy to deny. If you have a reference AMD vega 64 you should consider yourself very lucky.

Any thoughts??

Very good questions...and thoughts!
Would be very interesting to get some insight why the blockchain driver is so much better.

Anybody tried any other algos?

Question should be: Anybody tried any other algos and found similar or better results compared to cryptonight?

Cheers Smiley

Same question here. Is there a better site to compare equipment/ hardware to algorithms other than https://whattomine.com/?

Whats wrong with that site? Dont think there is better site avaible either.

And no, there definately aint any better algos than cryptonight sofar. Vega is super good for it, how good it should be lol

I already expected that...but thanks for confirming.
