41  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Rig troši previše struje on: February 06, 2018, 06:43:04 PM
Pozdrav ekipa.

43  Economy / Speculation / Re: 5 reasons why virtual currencies falling down.. on: February 02, 2018, 06:18:07 PM
This is your 5 reasons and you think that is the cause why cryptocurrencies are falling, in some of your reasons you are correct but that just created the panic.  Kronos21 gave you the main reason of bitcoin price drop. The panic was created and whales will use that to buy bitcoins at the low price for sure.
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this new crash very bad on: February 02, 2018, 05:15:31 PM
The price of bitcoin will always go up and down, it seems that a lot of peoples just see price behind crash but what is the cause of the crash they don't know. Please, next time try to investigate why the price is going down or up. Peoples just know to say '''its  new crash that's very bad'' but they don't see what is behind.
45  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources via Rank on: February 01, 2018, 08:21:02 PM

Regardless, limiting a merit source who he can give some smerit/s is just wrong. Take this for instance, you've read a post of a Newbie which is with quality and contributed something relevant to a certain topic. You want to give him merit but you can't since you are only assigned for Member-ranked accounts. Will you even bother to bookmark that post just to give him merit when he got upgraded to Member? No. This is the type of scenario that is being neglected by theymos. I bet he did not even think about this because this will just make the Merit System more complex.

The main purpose of Merit is to award people who had been contributing something to this forum. That's why restrictions to whom you want to give your sMerits is not implemented.

But in this suggestion, they can put merit sources for newbies to, so that isn't the problem.Newbies don't need merits to rank up, only Jr. Members and above needs it. This will prevent newbies from making spammy comments, they will realize that they need to give constructive posts before they reach Jr. Member rank. The point is to give merits to users who deserve but what chances are that newbie can create a constructive post if he doesn't know how the forum works. I know that there is maybe 10% percent of newbies who can give constructive post but there is 90% percent who will decide to spam for rank up.  Here in this idea, we don't limit merit sources, we are giving focus of merit points for each rank. The point is that merit source provide merits for a group of rank members where he is appointed.
46  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources via Rank on: February 01, 2018, 04:18:50 PM
I take this as a suggestion, right? This suggestion will not work at all. Full Members and below would not be an effective Merit source since they haven't established something relevant to the forum (except to those who are known that is in FM rank).  Based from the criteria of being a merit source stated by theymos:
If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. ...
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

the most suitable rank to be a merit source is Sr. Member and above.

Also, the merit should be given to those who had contributed something relevant and by restricting the giving merit to just within your rank level is horrible. Anyone who deemed a post worthy of Merit should give merit if he wanted to.

And what if the Member ranked MS ranked up? He cannot give merits to those who are still Member, right? Thus all merits will be given only to higher ranks in the future unless theymos will appoint again per rank.

This idea is full of holes and flaws. This will never happen.

Dude if MS source rank up he will continue to be MS for an appointed group of rank. I don't know who will be merit source or which rank is that MS.

Did you read this what I wrote mate

(merit sources can be from all ranks, but they can just give merit to group where they are appointed)

That means if you are Sr. Member and you are appointed into Members MS group you can give points only for that group where are you appointed. It doesn't matter from which rank will source man be..

47  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources via Rank on: February 01, 2018, 04:10:47 PM
Example:
 - just *Member group* merit source can give merits to Members only. (merit sources can be from all ranks, but they can just give merit to group where they are appointed)
 - just *Full Member group* merit source can give merits to Full Members only.
etc...
The final number of merit sources in the group can be determinated by Admin (theymos), this is just example.

What is the source of this information ? I checked the official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0 and there is no such information added there. It is hard to believe that there are no sources for Jr Members and newbies as they need merits the most.

This isn't information I just give an example of my idea, there isn't merit sources for any rank.
48  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources via Rank on: February 01, 2018, 04:05:37 PM
Horrible idea that will continue to facilitate account farming and spam. Nothing to see here; move on.

Why it would be a horrible idea if you are in *Members group* merit source, would you give merit to someone for free? I think that Admin determinates who will be merit source. You think that admin will choose the person who will farm accounts with merits.
49  Other / Meta / Merit sources via Rank on: February 01, 2018, 03:41:01 PM
There are 57 merit sources in this forum, the idea is that every group of ranks got they merit sources(merit sources can be from all ranks, that doesn't mean that Jr. Member will get Jr. Member merit source man).
Here is an example (according to currect merit sources, but it could be changed if we get more merit sources ):
RankRequired activityRequired meritMerit sources
Brand new000
Newbie100
Jr Member3007-25

Sr. Member24025015-30

LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

 Example:
*That means if you are Sr. Member and you are appointed to *Member group* source group you can give points only to that group where are you appointed. It doesn't matter from which rank will source man be.*
(merit sources can be from all ranks, but they can just give merit to group where they are appointed)

 - just *Member group* merit source can give merits to Members only.
 - just *Full Member group* merit source can give merits to Full Members only.
etc...

The final number of merit sources in the group can be determinated by Admin (theymos), this is just example.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: wait for bitcoin prices to go up on: February 01, 2018, 01:39:51 PM
A lot of people are determined to hold bitcoin for a long time. I don't understand why such a big scream. The entire history of bitcoin consists of UPS and downs. What's new now? Bitcoin always rewards only those who truly believe in him and devoted to him.
I agree with you.
Last year we noticed that many of new peoples have invested into the crypto world but a lot of them are newbies. They don't have knowledge what is Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, the only thing they know about it is a price. How they think is this way and I quote ''Oh price of bitcoin is falling but they say to me that bitcoin will rise to the 100k USD, oh no now I'm losing my money, I need to pull back all of my money this Bitcoin is scam''. Peoples should learn something about Bitcoin, instead of learning they invested in Bitcoin just because of his price.
Yes, Bitcoin will reward those who have certain knowledge about him.

Factors to consider while choosing a destination are:-

1. Low tax rate
2. Crypto friendly environment
3. Preferably low electricity costs
4. Muslim friendly country where veil & Hijab is allowed.
5. Easy immigration for Startup Entrepreneurs

52  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC could go down to $5,000 on: January 31, 2018, 05:58:38 PM
BTC could go down to $5,000. What do you think?

Before you try to ask something like that, first analyze market of cryptocurrencies. Does this supply 16,837,400 of Bitcoin tells you something? Technically Bitcoin can't go below 9k USD, so with this amount of supply, we can see that Bitcoin is forming average price around 10k USD.
So could Bitcoin go bellow 5k USD? I don't think so, this 5k price is just speculation for me.
53  Other / Meta / Re: Merited posts on: January 31, 2018, 12:30:09 AM
In order to rank up, one must be able get a certain number of merit. And post/s can be merited if its good, very useful and informative one. With a very huge number of posts on a certain topic, is there someone patiently reading those posts so good posts can be merited? Are those hundrends of posts have an equal chance to be read and earn a merit? What if the good posts are posted on the middle spreadsheet, will someone still care to read it? Im just curious. Thank you!

Dude don't bother yourself with ranks just try to be constructive in each post and merit points will come. Yes, I know that is hard but try to approach from a different perspective. Try to realize that merit system is here to make a healthy community of readers and writers.
One more thing try to avoid old threads and watch for new ones. Trust me and try it!
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL or SODL? on: January 30, 2018, 11:49:00 PM
What is your trading strategy right now?

For me definitely hodl, I don't want to panic because this is just temporary situation, Bitcoin need some time to raise again maybe a couple of months but that is OK if you ask me. But for some peoples, it appears to be a huge problem, it seems that they don't like to watch when a price is going down. They spend to much time watching value graphs.

Iskreno ako želiš poslušaj me mani se tih automatskih *ranja.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC broke bottom of triangle. Deep crash ahead. on: January 30, 2018, 05:31:15 PM
The only thing that's broken is your credibility, and that was already the case back in 2015 my man. The current 'dip' is a perfectly normal market movement within the range it has been operating in for some time now. You can't provide any actual worthwhile arguments regarding the current dip, and for that reason you're making a clown of yourself. On top of that, you are only supposed to show up when we are falling below the most recent bottom, and as long as that isn't the case, you don't have anything to do here. Crawl back under your rock and have fun there in the dark!

I can just say that I totally agree with you. Peoples can't realize that this temporary fall is absolutely normal because of this they start to panic and of course, they start to exchange bitcoin for cash. They are afraid of losing their money instead of that people should try to realize how Bitcoin market works. I can see that major bitcoin holders look at BTC/USD chart instead of analyzing the market.
57  Other / Meta / Re: Why not limiting the Signature Campaigns and posts per week? on: January 29, 2018, 08:56:59 PM
IMHO and in many peoples opinion, many one of the main sources of spams are Signatures Campaigns. I am not in favour of suppressing these because they do provided finance and develop the world of cryptocurrencies.

I do participate on these campaigns because I can support a project that I like or think is good for the community and get a few tokens along the way, even if sometimes they are worth nothing   Roll Eyes

However, many of the campaigns set a minimum of posts that I have to make a week. Some of these ask for 20 posts a week, so I am faced with the dilemma of either having to say no to a campaign that I really like or having to post on low quality threads without much interest.

I know that many people here would say that I should not take the campaign,  but that is not a good solution as I do want to promote the projects I like.

For this, my proposal would be to limit the amount of postings required in any campaign to 1 a day or no more than 7 or 10 a week.

Any new campaign on the forum would have to follow this rule or risk not being accepted / be banned / muted.

That depends on campaign manager, some of them check every single post from users and they want to make sure, that user isn't shitposter. We have SMAS team and they do their job excellent and a lot of campaign managers are in coordination with them. In some hand restricting the amount of posts in sig. campaigns aren't bad but that is the decision which manager need to decide.
For me 25 to 30 max. p/week are ideal because I don't have plenty of time. I use this forum to inform myself about new updates in crypto world, but a lot of members use this forum to make some profit and they don't really care about what to post.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar getting weaker... effects on cryptocurrency on: January 29, 2018, 08:24:11 PM
From the aspect of common man, I can say that US government don't realize that they need to make some changes in their approach to the economy of the whole globe if they want to watch how their dollar climbs at currency market.
I think that dollar fall can't reduce cryptocurrencies price but can it increase that is a totally new question, maybe it can.
59  Other / Meta / Re: Anti-spam Merit Giveaway on: January 29, 2018, 04:45:33 PM
@marlboroza
Well mate, I read your thread and I can say that this isn't a giveaway, you provide merits for those who make constructive posts. Through this, you support useful posters to reach their desired rank. You should change your topic name into ''Support to acquire Merit''.
This is the way how should older members contribute their knowledge to help lower rank members. You have big thanks from me!
By the way, can you check my recent posts?
