45  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Renault Clio 2001 for 230 BTC on: October 22, 2011, 02:59:34 PM

Hello, a well used Renault Clio for sale. Has MOT and is taxed, both until end of October.

Just took it in for its MOT and she failed with quite a few faults (coil spring, window chips, brake pads, etc.) and because I'm a student I can't afford to fix it and keep it on the road Sad It can still be legally driven on the road until end of October. None of the faults are major and can be easily fixed at a garage. Very tidy interior with no ripped seats. I have taken good care of her and only 1 month ago I got the wheels checked and had a bearing replaced along with the tracking. Wheels are in very good condition.

The bonnet and roof have slight cosmetic indentations from when somebody jumped on top of the car.

The photo's were taken back in February. It has 2 Tinted windows. Speedometer is temperamental (probably an easy fix but It's not part of the MOT test so I haven't bothered).

Having said all that, the engine runs like a dream, the steering is faultless and the stereo system is awesome.

Can be driven away with confidence. Car is parked in Crookes, Sheffield, England (S10 1UB). Buyer must collect.

Email me any questions, thanks Smiley

47  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Flexcoin is LIVE to everyone! on: August 28, 2011, 09:20:14 PM
Another question:  If Flexcoin takes off and there are less and less transaction fees floating around, isn't that shooting yourself in the foot?  If miners are going to be making a larger part of their income from transaction fees in the future, doesn't flexcoins model hurt that?

+1 very interesting question...

49  Economy / Speculation / Which graph is more useful and why? on: August 28, 2011, 05:12:55 PM
Normal Vs Log

If you look at the Log graph then it does not really resemble the classic "bubble" that everyone keeps harping on about... what gives  Undecided
50  Economy / Services / Re: Aerospace Engineering graduate looking for work on: August 28, 2011, 02:57:41 PM
jack,

How is this moonlighting working out for you.  I work for an aerospace consoling firm and was thinking about doing the same thing.  I would need about 2-3 btc/hr to make any side stuff worth my time since I am already at work for 60 hr during the week and have supervises offering me more time on the weekends.  With my personal experience with aerospace consoling in the USA being lessened as a PE is not that important since its the customer who makes the final decide on what to do with your final recommendation or deliverable.

Hi Bacon, I am quite busy right now (as you can tell by the time it has taken me to reply) and therefore I have had to put the engineering aside until work starts to simmer down (I work on a farm at the moment). I got offered some interesting engineering work about a week after I started this thread from a guy in Hawaii. I did that for a couple of weeks and would have liked to have spent longer on it. I recommend giving it a shot, never know what may come of it. Let me know how you get on.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Numbers On How Much Money a Merchant Would Save If They Used Bitcoins on: August 28, 2011, 08:47:35 AM
I think bitcoin needs to be more upfront about its fees. Fees are inevitable, but bitcoin fees are so low that this comparison between visa/paypal must be made from the off.

Good job with all the updates  Smiley

1 Question : how do I mine SolidCoins? I have GUIminer and an account with a pool but can't connect the dots  Undecided

Thanks!

I'll post some articles on this on the site soon, I get asked this a lot. But basically you create an account (or use your SC address) as the details.

In GUIMIner you need to go to "other" as the pool, and make sure the port and address is correct as well.

Ok, so do i put "sobtc.digbtc.net" as the "Host"? I see no address option. When I start mining I get the following error:

AttributeError: 'HttpTransport' object has no attribute 'failure'

EDIT: Ok i think i got it, have to do File -> New Miner -> phenix.exe and then do this? Just says "Connecting..." then:

FATAL kernel error: Failed to apply BFI_INT patch to kernel! Is BFI_INT supported on this hardware?  Huh

If you signed up, you signed up, you didn't login
There is a login button on the top

Thanks, just noticed it (not in the standard format so it didn't register with my eyez  Grin)
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Namecoin account lost? on: August 25, 2011, 10:16:12 PM
I signed up to https://exchange.bitparking.com using my Google Account about a month ago and bought some Namecoins successfully... now when I login it says my balance is 0.00000  Huh any suggestions? FYI I clicked "sign-up" in order to log in using my Google Account, because there is no "log-in" button...

They are working on one, but my method just submits forms on their page. works just as well as long as they dont change any of their settings. The openid login system is a bit anoying but have worked it out now.

I'd be interested in acquiring this bot Smiley
