41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 19, 2023, 07:55:35 AM
Then do it yourself. But I don't see huge potential in it, it would be understood only by users of this forum, and I don't really know what actual use you could make from this coin besides memes and all.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: June 13, 2023, 05:01:00 AM
investing in memecoin is a very bad thought considering memecoin is not a good thing to invest in,
there is no technology, no product, and there is no great demand in the future,
so you will be in vain if you think about entering memecoin just following Fomo from people who want to profit themselves.
more precisely meme coin is more suitable for short term investment and less suitable for long term investment as it has no utility.
but I think it's ok to invest $1 in a certain meme coin hoping in the future it will become like shiba or doge, and the previous $1 investment turns into $10K  Roll Eyes

Nothing wrong with throwing a couple of dollars into something like that, indeed. You just have to be prepared for the outcome, you may not get anything at all and even lose what you invested. That's why I don't understand how can people invest hundreds and thousands of dollars in something like that.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins (Pepes project)? on: May 30, 2023, 09:53:09 AM
I'm not interested in memecoins, but I'm starting to hate them because they are all over the place. Even DOGE wasn't that annoying at its peak. And I had at least some respect to it.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So when bitcoin version 2 satoshi? on: May 16, 2023, 08:49:08 AM
Maybe we need a Satoshi 2.0 to come up with a Bitcoin 2.0. Until then, let's hope for the best and keep pushing for positive change. Stay strong, my friend!

I guess so. We don't even know, maybe Satoshi is dead already, no one still knows who he is and I'm not sure we ever will.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 10, 2023, 05:19:11 AM
Bitcoin will never be as "stable" as something like the USD — heck, even gold isn't that stable. It's just that as time goes and as more and more people use bitcoin, bitcoin wouldn't be as volatile as it is today.

Just look at what people are saying right now, experts say that people shouldn't hold USD because inflation is just 5% a year, but imagine if you have bitcoin that can go down like 5% a day because some whales sold it. It will be problematic for people to use it on a daily basis because of that.

Because you don't buy your bitcoin to immediately sell it in a day. Usage-wise, probably wait for it to appreciate by a few points before actually using it. There's a reason it's almost never recommended to go 100% on bitcoin — always leave room for your fiat currency

True, I don't really understand why people still talking about BTC becoming stable. It's not even possible. Yes, it won't be as volatile as it was for the last decade, but still, there is a big room for growth. And you can't rely only on Bitcoin anyway.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising altcoins? on: May 02, 2023, 11:39:58 AM
That's a tought question, tbh I think you should think about it yourself. Are you considering holding only altcoins, or do you have BTC too? And I wouldn't call them "promising", they are big, old and well-known. BTW, I think XRP is not worth purchasing, but that's just my opinion.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 25, 2023, 01:45:55 PM
It's great to have 1 bitcoin in your wallet, but it shouldn't be the goal of a lifetime, you know.
You can slowly go to your goal accumulating coins and live a happy life. In fact, most people don't even have 0.20 Bitcoin. It's a good amount.
Having 1 Bitcoin in your wallet can be one of your greatest achievements, especially at today's price. But for starters and for average people like me, it will really make me happy if I will have a chance to earn 1 Bitcoin a year. But you know that having 0.20 bitcoin is a really good amount, especially if it's your hard-earned money. In life and in crypto, it's okay to dream big and work hard until you get insanely rich, learn to be contented sometimes for you to learn how to save and not lose your hard-earned money in stupid stuff.

I agree. 1 Bitcoin is massive and most people won't be able to gather it now even in years and that's fine, not everyone can afford this. I don't even have 0.2, but I'm doing everything to get there and have at least half of a coin before it hits $100k.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2023, 09:51:48 AM
I think there is no need to bring people who don't want to invest in Bitcoin or they are not interested. If you try to inspire them on your own responsibility, many times they may react negatively to you. Also, since Bitcoin is a highly volatile currency, a large dumping of the price can have a big impact on you. Just remember as you won't get any profits there you should not do anything that affects you later. But yes, as a conscious person you have a responsibility to give people some good message. You can explain it to them from that point of view. But if they take your point positively then you can enlighten them.

True. I can talk about Bitcoin with my friends if they ask me, but I'll never tell them to invest in it, and I told them that already. One of them asked me when should he buy it, now or later and I said that I can't take responsibility for his money and he should make research and think about it.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: April 14, 2023, 05:59:59 AM
I wouldn't give you any advice, it's a big pile of money and you're the only one who's responsible for it. But I'd buy 2 ETH and Bitcoin with the rest of it. And that's if I HAD to purchase crypto with it, or had a lot of other money to use.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is a custodial wallet to a hardware wallet on: April 07, 2023, 04:09:21 PM
I recently purchased some Bitcoins butAccording to most posts and replies on this forum it seem the best way to hodl Bitcoin is to use a hardware wallet as long as you can keep it safe.
Well is the hard ware wallet better than a custodial wallet??

The hardware wallet is much safer than a custodial wallet, but if you don't have much Bitcoin, and especially if you have different altcoins it's easier to use a non-custodial wallet.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you withdraw bitcoin this week? on: April 01, 2023, 07:53:37 AM
For me selling Bitcoin right now is pointless. I was buying it below $20K recently, but I was also buying it above $30K last year. I wouldn't even sell it for $50K, I know for sure it's gonna go higher.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is the largest bitcoin miner. on: March 28, 2023, 07:30:35 AM
China was main mining center in the past but it has put a complete ban on bitcoin mining which has lead to hashrate distribution across the globe and now China is no longer biggest player. You can check this article for more details : https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/bitcoin-mining-by-country

Quote
United States: 35.4%
Kazakhstan: 18.1%
Russia: 11.23%
Canada: 9.55%
Ireland: 4.68%
Malaysia: 4.58%
Germany: 4.48%
Iran: 3.1

Moreover Mining is a process through which new coins come into circulation not confirming the transactions and whenever a block is found the transactions are added in that block in blockchain of which the transaction fees goes to miner along with the block rewards.

Lol, I never thought that Kazakhstan is mining more than Russia and Canada. The more you know.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: he/they roasted us? on: March 21, 2023, 03:58:44 AM
Bitcoin is supreme. That cannot be denied. There is no reason to wonder why Bitcoin is at the top. But if we take a closer look at the technicalities, there are altcoins that are better than Bitcoin in one way or another. Monero is definitely much better than Bitcoin in terms of privacy, for example. In terms of transaction speed, there are also altcoins that are better than Bitcoin. Of course it is true that Bitcoin is the overall king. But it doesn't mean Bitcoin is the best in each and every aspect.

True. I'm glad there are still a lot of smart people that don't look at Bitcoin as a God and don't act like they are in a cult. I've seen too many individuals and influencers on the internet that behave that way.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Again Financial Giants Dive into the Crypto Space: Visa, Mastercard, and America on: March 17, 2023, 07:40:13 AM
Visa is cooperating with different crypto services for quite some time already, and that's truly bullish. I'm used to my card from an OWNR wallet, but there are plenty of other offers out there.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto breaks Silence after 10 years | Shocking announcement on: March 13, 2023, 07:15:44 AM
Lol, you got me for a second. If that were a link to the BTT post itself I'd believe it for a few more seconds, but still a good joke.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many crypto wallets do you own? on: March 06, 2023, 12:20:48 PM
I don't think you need multiple wallets. If you have a lot of BTC, just get a proper cold wallet. If you have a diversified portfolio just keep it safe and make sure you're using, again, a proper wallet.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: February 21, 2023, 12:32:44 PM
...This coin is unlikely to reach the price of one dollar. There are many much more worthy cryptocurrencies in this market than Dogecoin.

If we expect ATH from the cryptocurrency market, then it is not surprising that Dodge will also exceed its ATH. A given that the last ATH was at the level of 73 cents, it can be assumed that the price of Doge will reach the level of 1 dollar. And don't forget that the impossible is possible in the cryptocurrency market))

Yeah, nothing is impossible, but the hype around the DOGE is not as big as it was, and I'm not sure that it will be the same or bigger. But I wish only the best for the holders and will be glad to be wrong!
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: February 13, 2023, 01:37:40 PM
~ Do people hodl just because others are HODLing?
~ Why do people hodl rather than sell and buy again when low
~ What is your major reason for HODLing and how do your survive the bear market?

When the cryptocurrency falls, newcomers panic. They don't realize it's A SALE. And experienced people buy it without succumbing to emotions. Absolutely logical action, since it follows the golden rule in the world of trading - buy when the coin is cheap, and sell for expensive at the top of the price. In the future, the price of bitcoin may fall even lower, so now you should not buy with ALL the money. It is always necessary to leave financial room for maneuver. In our case - additional purchases. Keeping bitcoin without sales and purchases is not right. I think you should always balance between BTC and USDT.
Right, so I really don't get the logic of HODL forever without taking advantage of the market opportunities as in the Bull and Bear markets. I still believe in the idea of investment which is making a profit hence it is practically OK for you to sell your Bitcoin so long as you are doing it the right way of buying lower and selling higher, taking profits and doing it again around the market circle.

That's true. I don't want to hold my BTC forever too, but I haven't seen a price that would be enough for me to sell my BTC. Eventually, I'll do that, and if it drops I'll buy it again.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 07, 2023, 06:40:59 AM
When these people are getting paid they don't care if people will lose money if they invest under their influence as long as they are getting paid.I feel it similar to some advertising from celebrity about something they are getting paid for but they don't use it themselves but what is important to them are monetary benefits they get from company or project. But we should be making our own decision with open mind.

Yes, exactly. That's why I think it's important to tell others not to follow and listen to them, everyone should make their own decisions based on research. If someone is telling you to buy something, it will bring him more profit than you.
60  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to store BTC on: February 01, 2023, 07:02:59 PM
The cold wallet is the safest option, obviously. But a non-custodial wallet is a pretty good option if you just starting and don't have much BTC. Just keep your seed phrase written on a list and hidden safely and you find a good wallet.
