41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does miners dump thier mined coins? on: March 02, 2017, 03:00:05 PM
Guys, I have really weird problem with my 6x zotac gtx 1070, my rig would just restart itself after awhile (range from 5 minute to few hours).

my PSU is Corsair 1200watt platinum and I already changed to another working PSU and it will still have the same problem. Any idea what might be the problem?

Thanks

Having now issues with my Zotac GTX1070 Mini and driver 378.66.
Even you rebooted the system it stays? does the GPU goes into boost when using GPU-Z Render Test?

I rebooted, reinstalled the driver and it is still the same. Didn't try GPU-Z render test but does it matter?

Try to shut down all unnecessary programs, especially chrome, steam and other gaming platforms in the tray. The usually block the boost.

I really hope its all those, but its clean installation of window 7. Any other setting that affect boosted core?

Need help guys, no matter how hard I try I can't get my ZOTAC GTX 1070 mini to reach boosted clock. I already change the power management to maximum power but still no help.

Window 7
MSI Afterburner 4.3.0
Nvidia Driver: 378.66

Voltage: 0%
Power Limit: 80%
Temperature Limit: 85%
Core and Memory Clock: +150 +595

With this setting I am only having 410H/Sol and my core-clock is on the white bar which is far from boosted clock Sad.

Thanks

Pretty new to EWBF miner, so anybody can let me know if this miner have command like -tstop 90?
No such command yet.
You can control temp through MSI Afterburner when you install the Fan Control app that comes with it.

Thanks for the quick reply. More question Smiley

1) What driver version do I need for Palit GTX 1060 3g StormX to use EWBF efficiently?
2) Can I use window 7 as my operating system? Also can window 7 support 6 GPU GTX 1060?

Thanks in advance...

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: February 04, 2017, 04:06:52 PM
Who knows ? when AMD VEGA cards go?

Apparently well see Ryzen fist, then vega.  So far its second quarter, so probably somewhere in May.  So far yet so close Sad  Can't wait to see the new lineup.  Anyways for the other debate on fiji, on windows 10 depending on your drivers for optiminer it gives About 375-380 vs 395 for me, so just a bit slower.  almost equal in fact after the fees.

Have been waiting for Vega forever, hopefully it is something good..
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are so many people dumping GPUs all of a sudden? on: January 19, 2017, 09:19:31 AM
Vega?

I doubt its Vega. Vega at best might produce 50% faster speed than RX 480 but it will also cost 300% as much.

It will be roughly similar to the Nvidia 1080 which is never the ideal choice for miners.

You sure its only 50% faster? I remember seeing some forum post saying 2-3 times faster but everything is speculation Smiley... hope to get 1 soon to try out..

hi all
i face unstable current effective hashrate any comment or adding in command line?

Awaiting yr reply

I think you should change pool before anything else

Use Dwarfpool. For the past 10 days it is way more profitable than any other

Anybody compared dwarfpool with nanopool?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.2 on: December 22, 2016, 06:35:33 AM
9.2 is much more stable
Normally at 9.1 it got crashed after 24h
Now it is running 36h still no problem great job

Its same for me 9.0, 9.1, 9.2. Weird part is its still the same few rig who always crash. So I think my PC is old and some part is broken.

v9.2

280x    ~220H/s
390      ~325H/s
290x    ~315H/s
Fury     ~350H/s
480      ~260H/s

stock bios, overclocked, 16.10.3

What about 290 without x?
53  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: December 19, 2016, 03:44:52 AM
I haven't noticed any panic selling. Most are holding on to what they have. If not selling then mostly buying up as much as they can and that could explain the price continuing to rise and rise everyday.

It's almost holiday now, I haven't seen any price drop yet, it is supposed to be like that(there's a drop) since we can't buy most of Christmas things with bitcoin, but it wasn't happening yet, so I guess, most people who are holding huge amount of bitcoin are really considering their bitcoin as asset and freezing it. Maybe they are rich and bitcoin isn't a part of their daily living money.

We still don't know, who knows, just like last New year, after the price rally, there was this great drama that happens and drag some people to sell their coins and drop the price. I hope it won't happen this year.

Don't forget about the election, many people holding BTC and GOLD due to that reason. We still don't know what will happen until January 2017.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go up another 100% on: December 19, 2016, 03:41:40 AM
we will have a better idea after ETH moves to POS next year how the coin marketcap changes
but eth is a constantly changing experiment ....

yeah. i'll believe that when i see it.

as for the rest, i guess there's a line somewhere between bedrock of crypto and badly compromised antique. it'll probably be too late to know if and when it's been crossed.

ETH? It is slowly dying. Between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic, I would go for the latter. It is on the rise and has declared that it will continue on with Proof of Work. The miners from ETH would then move to ETC and also imagine the miners who are disillusioned with ZCash. Once the network becomes strong enough in hashng power, ETC may achieve parity with ETH.

ETH is with dev support and ETC without. Once ETH goes into POS we can say that mining profit is going to be hell until the next Zcash come out!!
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which btc provider ist the safest? on: December 19, 2016, 03:37:38 AM
Hi all,
actually thinking about spending a bigger amout of moeny in btc and searching for the safest in the net place to purchase them...possibly a german website. any good advises? thx!!
Jo

I don't know any german website for purchasing BTC but I used to use bitfinex before the hack, I think its still safe right now to buy there but if you are buying a big amount then you should really spread to 2-3 exchange instead of one.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How long have your rigs run without resetting? on: December 19, 2016, 03:32:29 AM
As per subject, the longest of any of my miners are 1 week. I find it a rather almost full time job to have to run to my rig to hard reset them.

Any suggestion to remote resetting? I am exploring diskless system and it seems to be the most practical method.

How can it be a full time job if all you take is few minute to hard reset each rig (well unless you are talking about 10000 rig)? There are actually a lot of way to remotely reset but each come with problem too.

I myself tried wireless remote power socket but no luck, it work at first but might be due to the high heat from rig it spoil rather quick.

57  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining without mining hardware? on: December 18, 2016, 03:48:18 PM
I don't really have any asics and any money to invest on asics. What can I do to begin profitable mining?

You can try nicehash. You can buy hash there and usually you will gain about 1-2 profit depending on your luck and calculation. Good luck, I can't tell too much until everyone do that and profit gone Smiley..
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HDD mining aside from storjcoin and burstcoin? on: December 18, 2016, 03:42:57 PM
I just wonder, if gpu miner ploting faster than disk can read or write, why store plot file? We could just plot thst part what we need in realtime without storing then we could have petrabytes virtualy when nothing on disk

It doesn't work that way, you can only save some time getting the HDD full if you have a higher write, you still need to store files in-order to earn burstcoin.

Summary, the more space you got the better it is (fyi: profit is really bad).
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine the price of a product in bitcoin on: December 16, 2016, 02:09:12 PM
We all know that bitcoins price changes quickly because of its demand So if some online shop sells products and pricing it in bitcoin,
How can we price it ? Should the price change also like btc?

If you know the value of something you want to sell in real money the price of it in bitcoin can be found very easy. Convert the price in real money in bitcoin and you will have the price you want. Adjust it how time you want if the price of bitcoin change and have nothing else to do.

That is very possible to do but at what percentage you can mark up to follow the price of bitcoin fluctuations? Or maybe you can take the average bitcoin value plus 20% plus markup? or even higher?

To encourage customer use bitcoin, I suggest giving some discount (1-5%) instead of 20% markup.

In order to avoid people abusing the price fluctuation its better to have a system where you can price the BTC real time. I think paypal and some other BTC payment portal can do that right?
