43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liberty Reserve - Which exhanges are 'good' or easy to use? on: June 11, 2011, 09:10:32 AM

44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is liberty reserve better than Dwolla? on: June 11, 2011, 07:56:32 AM
Well there was a transfer issue with Bofa to dwolla and now they need to verify my account again. Apparently they called my bank to verify and my bank told dwolla my account is not open which is bull because I have been banking with that same account for 5 years!  Anyway,  I'm still suspended until further notice. I signed up with LR but it seems soo difficult!  What exchange do u guys use?  The exchanges ask for so much info.  You really don't know what you got until its gone, dwolla was so easy to use.

no risk to be taken, just save the wallet.dat file and you will not lose anything.  I have reinstalled so many times already because I cannot connect and download blocks 85% of the time.  So just backup that file.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is liberty reserve better than Dwolla? on: June 10, 2011, 03:25:11 AM
Considering my latest problem in the Bitcoin world, first I can't connect on the client even after a forwarding port, addnode, re-installing and the like, I am also unable to use my Dwolla account due to an unforeseen suspension for which I have no explanation yet. I am not giving up! Even though it looks like bitcoin isnt meant to be for me! Regardless I have money invested and well I would like to invest more, do you guys recommend me sticking with Dwolla even though they have yet to give me access to my account or should I just make a new account on liberty reserve and start over there?
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla sucks! they suspended my account! on: June 10, 2011, 01:49:29 AM
No significant sums, I have only had Dwolla for 1 week and half and within that one week I did 4 small transfers that's about it. The price of BTC went from $8 dollars when I first read about it to now almost $30. By far the most inconvenient thing about this is the transfer and now this issue!
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dwolla sucks! they suspended my account! on: June 10, 2011, 01:43:37 AM
I have contacted them but I still have no reply, the only change I made was to my name using my nickame.  However, when I signed up with them all the information was in its entirety.  We will see what they say. In the meantime I am considering liberty reserve since I have been unable to get my money out of dwolla or into Mt Gox for the last 2 days.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DWOLLA / MTGOX fund transfers being held up. on: June 10, 2011, 01:30:50 AM
Well at least you guys are seeing progress slow progress at that. Dwolla suspended my account for "potential fraud" which makes me wonder if its tied to Bitcoin in some way  Huh
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin not connected (after 129686 blocks)? on: June 10, 2011, 01:20:19 AM
I have had this issue for a while now. The only way I am able to connect and add new blocks is by backing up my wallet.dat file.  Then I delete the bitcoin client completely from my computer then I re-install the client, add my wallet again and the blocks start to download. As long as you backup your wallet your transactions will appear.  If they do not you can use -rescan and they will show up.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Dwolla sucks! they suspended my account! on: June 08, 2011, 09:21:16 PM
I got an email today stating simply " your account has been suspended".  No reason.,  I cant login and I have money waiting to be transferred. Frustrating!
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking of reinstalling the Bitcoin client on: June 06, 2011, 07:07:22 PM

53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking of reinstalling the Bitcoin client on: June 06, 2011, 07:04:15 PM
Well I have had this problem for the last 24 hours  Undecided.  Somehow  I can't find my wallet.dat file now? Looked for hidden files and still no luck. Will my bitcoins eventually come to me or have they been lost by now?
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Thinking of reinstalling the Bitcoin client on: June 06, 2011, 06:46:39 PM
Will I lose my wallet if I reinstall? I have Bitcoins waiting to be transferred to my client but It seems my Bitcoin client is stuck and not downloading blocks. Will my Bitcoins not recognize my address once I delete and reinstall? Thanks for your help!
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how long to transfer coins directly from the client? on: June 06, 2011, 09:55:25 AM
I checked port 8333 on canyouseeme.org.  Everything checks out, but still 1 connection.  I'll try again later.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how long to transfer coins directly from the client? on: June 06, 2011, 09:10:04 AM
Is anyone else having problems with the client. I have waited so long to get my bitcoins transferred to my client from Mt Gox. I know its not Mt Gox, my transaction shows on block explorer, but for some reason I fluctuate from 1 to 2 connections only, with no change in block number. Opened port 8333 on my router, updated to 0.3.22 and still no luck. Can any one help?
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how long to transfer coins directly from the client? on: June 06, 2011, 04:01:09 AM
So I am also having an issue with a large delay in transferring bitcoins from Mt Gox to Bitcoin client. It has been over 2 hours with 1 connection and no change in block number Embarrassed. I wasn't having this problem two days ago. I hope my coins are not in limbo and lost somewhere!
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum I Need help on: June 06, 2011, 02:04:32 AM
Great PowerPoint from what I've learned so far. I noticed a few  spelling errors: decentralized, central, based, certainty(<~ correct form). Good luck with the presentation! I would be honored to be the one talking about Bitcoins!
