41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s future depends on public acceptance on: September 16, 2014, 05:19:38 PM
A cryptocurrency's worth is:

50% Technology (solid, long lasting)
50% Public acceptance (merchant adoption, network effect)

The rest is just shitty gimmicks.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does Paypal acceptin Bitcoin mean you can pay with Bitcoin in any Paypal site? on: September 16, 2014, 05:18:28 PM
For example, let's say eBay. 99% of sellers accept Paypal payments, so now that Paypal will accept BTC as basically admited here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF7HxLCFMeY&feature=youtu.be) does this mean that we'll be able to pay with Bitcoin in eBay as soon as it gets implemented? (as long as seller accepts BTC) or do we need something different?
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Explosion on: September 16, 2014, 05:16:08 PM
Things will come. The new Paypal advertisement just basically announced they will be accepting bitcoin soon. Check it out:

44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN clearly mentioned in new PayPal video. Video is on PayPal channel. Link on: September 16, 2014, 04:41:48 PM
LOL it said Bitcoin. They are being cheeky about it. You got to be literally mentally handicaped to not own at least 1 BTC by now. Winter is comming.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto be world's first trillionaire ? on: September 16, 2014, 04:38:02 PM
Families like Rothchilds are sitting on trilli's... of course you don't see them in magazines like Forbes because it would actually be bad for them. Why become a target? they keep doing their thing in the shadows.

47  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it bitcoin work? on: September 16, 2014, 04:31:14 PM
Bitcoin is a form of currency without notes and coins, it is a digital currency.

In this era of Internet and digitization, we’ve moved from phone to VoIP calls, face-to-face meeting to video conferencing, fax to email, cable television to IP TV, and the list goes on. Bitcoin is the equivalent for money.
48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Really basic question on wallets / exchange on: September 16, 2014, 04:30:08 PM
IF you buy through an exchange, withdraw the coins and store them in your wallet (do not leave them sitting in the exchange). If you are day trading or something, then you have to risk it if you do not want to miss big gains (ups and downs happen too fast, this mean by the time you send your BTC from your wallet to the exchange, the party would be over). But I think you arent interested in this and you want to just hold, so yeah, buy withdraw and hold.

You can also use LocalBitcoins.
49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Vs. Paypal on: September 16, 2014, 04:25:50 PM
You can use bitcoin without any documents while on paypal it is mandatory.
Its not MANDATORY, but to load your account yes it is, and to verify as well. You can technically receive and send paypal balance with no paypal or bank account, I have a  US paypal account with no CC or bank account to transfer from bitsimple, and I forward it to my real account with bank account.

I tried using paypal once I receive some funds paypal limited my account and I need to send my passport and IDs and tracking number even it is digital goods.

I have never been asked for ID and passport, or at least not scanning it or some creepy shit. What I was needed to do was to get my ass in the bank, check for new bank movements, check for the small transaction they send you (they send 2) then confirm these transactions to enable my account.

So yeah, Bitcoin is much more anonymous, you dont need any of this shit.

This is a nice step by step guide that should clarify all potential doubts imo.
51  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain spam on: September 16, 2014, 04:21:13 PM
They should add a way to avoid transactions under a certain value (say 0.00001 or so) so you don't get spammed. Im getting spammed a lot often for some reason. Who is the no lifer doing this? lol.
52  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: dividing one bitcoin into a million pieces on: September 16, 2014, 04:18:58 PM
Whats the point in any case? Just do the calculation with the calculator if you want to know the value in USD. You dont need to "divide it", you just do whatever transaction you want (0.00000009 or whatever...)
53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost Bitcoin on: September 16, 2014, 04:17:42 PM
Everyone is responsible of his loses/wins, thats the beauty of Bitcoin. No other monetary system allows for this.
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 things bitcoin introduced to us on: September 16, 2014, 04:16:01 PM
I love how Satoshi approached the concept of double spending. We can make many copies of digital data, e.g. people copy software and sell it as counterfeit or pirated copies. We may face the same problem with digital currency – one can copy the digital currency (let’s suppose USD10) and use it as many time as he/she like (as many notes of USD10). Satoshi solved this problem by showing all transactions in a public list. Whenever a new transaction is made, its validity is checked by confirming from the list that the digital currency was not used before. This way, no one can copy the currency and use it for more than one time. It’s a simple but effective idea to stop double spending of the same bitcoin.

There is a lack of girls in the Bitcoin community AFAIK, but as someone else mentioned, not all of them are Bitwhores lol. Some of them are creating legit content, check this out:

Sigm4, pretty cool nickname, it's funny because I used to play videogames online as sigma.
57  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: September 15, 2014, 06:07:59 PM
Of course it's possible. Obviously, there's a certain energy spent to create said energy, but it's damn near to 0 compared to the scam we have today. Check it out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnRyVK7HqJE

Had this be applied today, and the whole scam of a system we live in would collapse next morning, that's the problem. The powers that be are not going to allow for that.
58  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: September 15, 2014, 06:06:16 PM
Personally I've become incredibly bored of videogames for the past 3 years of so. Im waiting for the Oculus Rift, now that's interesting and I may become interested in games again thanks to it.
59  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yet another scam email on: September 15, 2014, 06:03:58 PM
Im getting tons of "buy viagra" or "buy cialis" spam emails in my email account, funny thing is I actually want to try Cialis to reduce my refractory period... the NSA may be spying me fapping on webcam or something, even tho my erections are decent.

Then we have these fucking "World of Warcraft" emails with fake Blizzard names on it.

And I also get some of these "send me money" emails coming from places like nigeria and what not.

The spam world is very varied it seems.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Wall Street Myth on: September 15, 2014, 06:01:38 PM
If wall street comes, the sell side of the order book will dry up. Why? Because early adopters won't want them to take away our toys. And access to the block chain is guaranteed while we have an Internet.

That would, in turn, be the reason price goes bonkers.

In short, I think you're being pessimistic. Bitcoin can't be taken away. Either in terms of coins or infrastructure.
